Chapter 1493: Chapter 676: The Arrival of Yu Zhiyang (9,000 Words!) (2)

Zhou Yun noticed that Wen Bing was hesitant to speak, so she said, ”How about this, I’ll bring Yu Zhiyang over. No matter what, you should meet him first and then we’ll discuss everything else.”

Wen Bing sighed softly upon hearing this.

”Why are you sighing?” Zhou Yun asked helplessly.

Wen Bing said, ”I’ll listen to you.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Let’s not overthink it. As they say, the show must go on. We need to find the most suitable person.”

Wen Bing said, ”Xiao Yun, have you considered that this might become a rumor that follows you for a lifetime?”

”I have,” Zhou Yun nodded, ”But, as I’ve said, in our line of work, no matter what we do, there will always be misunderstandings. As long as I know what I’m doing and those around me know what I’m doing, that’s enough.”

The teahouse was very quiet.

If the two of them didn’t speak, it was almost completely silent.

Outside, some faint noises drifted from far away, almost inaudible.

Zhou Yun and Wen Bing sat there for a long time without speaking.

After drinking tea, they returned to the hotel to rest.

Liu Yun was already asleep.

Zhou Yun finished washing up, sat on the bed, hesitated for a moment, and then called Song Chi.

Song Chi asked, ”Out of those I’ve recommended, do any feel suitable?”

Zhou Yun said, ”None, they’re all too refined, sigh.”

”I guessed as much. I knew from your requirements it would be hard to find anyone suitable unless you look for someone who’s never acted before, start with a newcomer, but that would take a long time, which you don’t have right now.”

”Yeah,” Zhou Yun nodded, ”Song Chi, can I ask you, have you ever been jealous when I acted with other male actors?”

”Huh?” Song Chi was taken aback.

He didn’t know why the topic suddenly shifted to this, and he was momentarily confused, taking a while to regain his composure.

Zhou Yun said, ”I’m asking you.”

Song Chi pondered a moment, then said, ”Sometimes, a little, but why are you suddenly asking this? Did someone gossip?”

”No, it’s not that anyone said something. I was just thinking about it myself,” Zhou Yun said. ”The whole William Stanthorpe thing, everyone knew it was impossible. Those kinds of rumors were just for a laugh, but what if there some rumors in the future that people think are real?”

”How could that be?” Song Chi said firmly, ”I’m still by your side. With me here, the other rumors aren’t real.”

”I talked with Wen Bing tonight. I said we could let Yu Zhiyang play this role. Wen Bing told me he’s worried if Yu Zhiyang plays it, the rumors from ’Under the Grand Dress’ might flare up again. You should know, many people said it was because I liked Yu Zhiyang that I pushed for him to be the lead in ’Under the Grand Dress.’”

”Are you worried that people will say you and Yu Zhiyang...?”

”Yeah.”

”That silly guy follows me around all day, everyone around me knows he’s like a younger brother to me.” Song Chi laughed, ”Xiao Yun, you don’t need to worry about what outsiders say. We all know it’s not true. If this role truly suits Yu Zhiyang, let him do it. He’s been following me, watching me act. I’m tired of him; it would be good for him to shoot with you for a while too.”

A warm feeling filled Zhou Yun’s heart.

She knew Song Chi was trying to comfort and encourage her.

Zhou Yun said, ”I, I think I’ve changed.”

”Hmm?”

”Before, I wouldn’t consider these things at all. I don’t know why, now I’ve become so timid, afraid to say or do anything. Decisions I used to make boldly without hesitation, now make me hesitant and cautious.”

”But, I feel really happy about it.”

”Hmm?”

”You care about these rumors now because you’re afraid they will affect us,” Song Chi said, ”When you called me, I realized you’re considering my feelings. Xiao Yun, this makes me very happy because I know you care about me. You consider my feelings because you care about me.”

Zhou Yun didn’t know what to say for a moment.

She laughed and then said, ”Alright, it’s true. I care about you. I don’t want these things to affect your mood.”

”It’s fine. I’m a professional actor. I can handle it well, and I trust our relationship. We won’t be affected by these external voices,” Song Chi said.
