Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1455: Chapter 749: Tracking

In the evening, Zhou Yun and Zhou Lan were having dinner in the hotel restaurant, and Zhou Lan told Zhou Yun about hiring Jerold Sanchi to investigate.

”I can’t relax until we figure out the identity and background of that attacker.”

Zhou Yun nodded, saying, ”I feel the same way. I just had a nightmare.”

Zhou Lan said, ”We need to be mentally prepared; maybe this kind of thing will happen more in the future.”

”Hmm.” Zhou Yun nodded.

As an artist, Zhou Yun had long been mentally prepared to face all this; however, she still needed time to continually adapt.

Actually, Zhou Yun felt exceptionally lucky to have an agent like Zhou Lan.

If it were another agent, they might not believe Zhou Yun’s intuition.

Or perhaps, even if they noticed something was off with the attacker’s condition, they might approach the situation with an attitude of ”the less trouble, the better.”

But coincidentally, Zhou Lan and Zhou Yun were both people who couldn’t tolerate even a speck of dust in their eyes or hearts.

So, once she noticed something was amiss, she definitely wanted to get to the bottom of it.

The two of them reached a consensus on this issue and exchanged a knowing smile.

Zhou Lan said, ”Of course, I’m hoping he’s just a simple racist without any other motives, that would be the simplest.”

Zhou Yun smiled.

Like Zhou Lan, she hoped the same.

It’s just that both of them knew deep down that since they had this strange feeling, the likelihood of that being the case wasn’t high.

After dinner, Zhou Lan told Zhou Yun, ”There will be a fashion fitting at 7:30 later; there’s half an hour left. Do you want to go back to your room to rest for a bit or go straight there?”

Zhou Yun thought for a moment and said, ”I’ll go back to my room to rest. Where’s the fitting later? Tell me the room number and I’ll go there myself.”

”I’ll have Liu Yun take you there later,” Zhou Lan said.

Zhou Yun nodded.

Zhou Yun got up, ready to return to her room to rest.

”Miss Zhou.” A man with Asian features suddenly approached her, speaking in Chinese. Zhou Yun thought he was Chinese until he introduced himself, saying, ”I am Konosuke Harada. I wonder if I could trouble you for a moment?”

Zhou Yun looked at this middle-aged Japanese man in confusion and asked, ”Excuse me, who are you?”

Zhou Lan also came over to Zhou Yun’s side.

Konosuke Harada took out two business cards and handed them to Zhou Yun and Zhou Lan.

Zhou Yun and Zhou Lan accepted the cards, which were in English, detailing the man’s identity.

General Manager of Pine Branch Movie Company.

”Hello.” Zhou Lan greeted him after looking at the card, ”May I ask what you want with us?”

Konosuke Harada said, ”I wanted to talk to Miss Zhou Yun. I have a film here and would like to invite Miss Zhou Yun to star in it.”

”I see, thank you. I am Miss Zhou Yun’s agent. She has another job later, and time is rather tight; she needs to prepare, so she cannot have an in-depth conversation with you right now. If you have a project you’d like to collaborate on with her, you can contact me.” Zhou Lan handed over her own business card to Konosuke Harada, ”Very sorry.”

Upon hearing this, Konosuke Harada showed a look of disappointment.

”I see, I apologize for the disturbance then.”

He nodded slightly and took Zhou Lan’s card, ”Please.”

He stepped aside.

Zhou Yun nodded to him, apologizing, and left.

The bodyguards followed.

Zhou Lan stayed behind and said to Konosuke Harada, ”This time, Zhou Yun came here at the brand’s invitation. She still has to do a fitting with the brand later. Because the time was agreed upon, she cannot afford to delay.”

It seemed Konosuke Harada didn’t expect Zhou Lan would specifically explain further to him.

”I understand, it was presumptuous of me.” Konosuke Harada immediately said to Zhou Lan, ”Actually, this time I was just here to attend tomorrow’s event, and I happened to see Miss Zhou Yun. I thought that I have a film project later, directed by Director Yu Zhihe, and there is a role very suitable for Miss Zhou Yun, so I wanted to talk to her about the project face to face.”

When Zhou Lan heard the name Yu Zhihe, her heart skipped a beat.

At that moment, she suddenly felt fortunate that she had taken the time to explain a little more to this Konosuke Harada.

How should Director Yu Zhihe from Japan be described?

In this world, some directors are described as transcending borders, world-class directors. Their films are recognized and praised all over the world.
