Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1471: Chapter 757: Lawsuit

Song Chi said, ”This person is really strange. Even if he didn’t know you were married, surely he knew you were in a relationship? Yet he still tried to be attentive; obviously, he has ulterior motives.”

Zhou Yun knew that telling Song Chi would definitely result in this outcome.

But, despite that, she still wanted Song Chi to know about this.

”Don’t worry, regardless of his intentions, I’ve rejected him. Rest assured, after I see the show tomorrow, I’ll be back the day after tomorrow.”

”Okay.” Song Chi said, ”Keep your distance from him.”

Zhou Yun could hear the thick jealousy in Song Chi’s tone.

She couldn’t help but find it amusing.

”Got it.” Zhou Yun said, ”I’ll keep my distance from him. I’ll be back soon, and then it’ll be an ocean’s distance away.”

Suddenly, Song Chi thought of something, ”Xiao Yun, why don’t we announce our marriage?”

Zhou Yun: ”Sure.”

”You don’t mind?”

”Why would I mind? We’re married, after all. Now neither of us needs to rely on our single status to support our careers.”

”Okay.”

Song Chi said, ”Then let’s pick a day and make it official.”

”Sure.”

Zhou Yun thought, the sooner they tell everyone, the better, once the dust settles.

After all, stepping from dating into marriage is a substantial change.

Previously, Zhou Lan had some concerns that once Zhou Yun got married, her choices in roles might be restricted.

To be fair, in societal perception, married women and single women are held to different standards.

But Zhou Yun always felt that even if there were restrictions, it didn’t matter.

She hasn’t really been making romance films much anymore.

It seems since she started in the industry, the only real romance she filmed was ”Eighth Heartbeat.”

In her recent films, even if there were romantic elements, that wasn’t the focus.

Zhou Yun never really liked those sappy love stories.

And those refreshing love stories that could touch her are generally not for her.

There are practically no audiences wanting to see Zhou Yun in those typical romance films.

In the afternoon, Zhou Lan returned to the hotel and joined Zhou Yun for coffee.

Zhou Yun told Zhou Lan what Song Chi had said.

When Zhou Lan heard that they planned to announce their marriage, she couldn’t sit still.

”What, what, we haven’t seen each other for a few hours, and you two already planned something this big?” Zhou Lan asked.

She was utterly shocked.

Zhou Yun said, ”It just came up, and William Stanthorpe made Song Chi a bit uncomfortable.”

”Song Chi is really something, isn’t he? When have there ever been fewer men like William Stanthorpe around you? Why would he suddenly get worked up about this one?”

”It’s not that he’s worked up, just uncomfortable, and I understand,” Zhou Yun said. ”If a woman were chasing Song Chi and I knew Song Chi didn’t like her, I’d still be uncomfortable.”

”Mainly, you had no signs at all, suddenly announcing marriage...”

”We’ve been dating for so long, how’s that ’no sign’? Plus, we’ve been legally married already, just never announced it to the public. Now we’re just exposing this fact, letting everyone know, it won’t affect our current work situation. Relax, I’m not planning to be a mom so soon.”

”Alright, I understand. When you plan to announce, give me a heads up,” Zhou Lan said. ”When the news explodes, I’ll need to notify the partners in advance.”

”Okay.”

Zhou Lan added, ”Don’t forget, V magazine already reserved a double cover for when you and Song Chi marry. Your endorsement brands bought slots early, just waiting for this news.”

”Ah, even getting married is filled with the stench of profit.”

Zhou Lan: ”Well, you’re both top stars. You could decline, but honestly, there’s no need. These brands have collaborated with you for so long, and it’s not like they want to be sponsoring your wedding, just a joint cover. Even if you don’t marry, you’d still shoot several magazine covers throughout the year.”

Zhou Yun smiled.

However, what Zhou Yun hadn’t expected was, after the Outer Island media fabricated rumors yesterday, they wouldn’t let her off today, and instead followed up with reports on her and William Stanthorpe, claiming they met at Daniel Lee’s art exhibition, went on a date, and that William Stanthorpe bought a Daniel Lee painting as a gift for Zhou Yun.

The rumor was constructed so convincingly.

Zhou Yun found it laughable.

These unscrupulous medias are really talking nonsense with their eyes wide open, creating things that completely never happened.

She sent these rumors and reports to Zhou Lan.

Zhou Lan said she had already contacted the lawyer and was preparing to sue them.

When Zhou Yun saw the word ”sue,” she froze briefly, hardly reacting, and then, once she came around, asked: Sue? This time it’s serious?

Zhou Lan: Yes, this is very malicious and blatant fabrication, needs to be sued.

Zhou Yun thought about it and agreed.

Previously, with those fake news the media published, she and Zhou Lan always got angry but never really did anything about it.

This time they were taking it seriously, partly because Outer Island’s media had gone too far with fabrications, and partly because Zhou Lan thought it was time to set an example, or else other media might think they were passive, continuing to spread rumors about Zhou Yun for clickbait.
