Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 301: Chapter 263: Rising Phase: 99

”After finishing the recording of ’Geology Talk,’ Wang Jing will fly back to Shanghai.

Zhou Yun will continue to stay here to shoot the cover of the October issue of ’Victor’.

After the photoshoot, Zhou Yun will head directly to Italy.

Zhou Lan and Zheng Xiaojue will accompany Zhou Yun to Italy. They will meet up with Wen Bing and people from New Shield in Venice. He Yong will also be there.

”There are a total of ten gowns,” Zhou Lan took out the tablet to show Zhou Yun the effect pictures.

They found a female model with a similar figure to Zhou Yun to try on the gowns and take photos, so Zhou Yun could directly see the effect on the body.

”Do we need so many?” Zhou Yun asked in shock upon hearing this.

Zhou Lan said, ”For the opening ceremony red carpet, our movie’s premiere red carpet, these two are the most important occasions. Additionally, New Shield will host a Chinese Film Night in Venice, inviting Chinese cinema people participating in this film festival to join; of course, you’ll have to attend. Apart from these, I asked Shi Luoqi for help to obtain tickets to premieres of two main competition unit films; you’ll also walk the red carpet, which requires gowns. Besides, there are other activities, we definitely can’t wear the same outfit repeatedly. Fortunately, Zheng Xiaowen has her connections and company in Italy, saving us a lot of effort. Oh, right, Zheng Xiaowen is also contacting several fashion magazines there, and you’ll have interviews with two of them and take some photos.”

After hearing so much from Zhou Lan, Zhou Yun felt a bit overwhelmed. She hadn’t realized that there would be so many things to handle, feeling like it was not just about attending a film festival.

Zhou Lan quickly discerned what Zhou Yun was thinking.

”Don’t complain about tiredness, this opportunity is too important. Xiao Yun, many actors work hard for ten years and might not get such an opportunity,” Zhou Lan said, ”It’s a perfect alignment of timing, location, and people.”

Zhou Yun nodded and said, ”Don’t worry, I won’t run away halfway.”

Zhou Lan laughed and said, ”I know you won’t run away, but you need to be spirited, proactive. This is a major film festival watched by global media, and you’re attending with your work. Journalists from all countries will see your film, your performance, and top film companies globally will send representatives to watch. This is your first appearance, and we need to make everyone remember you.”

Zhou Yun suddenly laughed.

”What are you laughing about?”

”I was thinking, isn’t this what all agents say to their actors who are first-timers at such film festivals—make everyone remember you. How about we don’t set such high expectations for ourselves?” Zhou Yun chuckled.

”Unambitious.”

Zhou Yun laughed heartily.

Meanwhile, shooting the cover for ’Victor’ was no easy task; from early morning to night, styling, shooting, changing styling, shooting, changing scenes, from 9 AM until nightfall.

The magazine’s top photographer had a sudden inspiration to have Zhou Yun holding a torch, wearing a white sheer dress, walking by the seaside on a pitch-black beach.

The night deep and dark, the salty sea breeze.

The crew hastily made a torch and handed it to Zhou Yun.

The surroundings were cleared.

The photographer carried the camera, aiming at Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun, with her left hand supporting her right elbow, right hand holding the torch.

Around them was pitch black, only the torch was radiating light.

Zhou Yun stood quietly on the beach, gazing into the ocean depths.

Everything quieted down, and the photographer did not allow any noise.

Zhou Yun did not hear any word from the photographer. Usually, photographers would constantly give directions during a shoot. She turned her head bewildered and puzzled, looking towards the photographer and the camera. At that moment, suddenly a gust of sea breeze blew.

The sea breeze enveloped Zhou Yun’s long hair and dress, fluttering lightly.

The photographer captured the moment with his camera.

”Perfect!” yelled the photographer excitedly.

Zhou Yun revealed a smile.

She guessed the shooting might be ending.

But her work was not over yet.

While packing up the makeup and hair, there was an interview ongoing that had lasted the whole day. This interview would later be organized into a feature article for the magazine.

The interview was conducted by the text director of ’Victor’.

The person had followed her the entire day, already noting down nearly ten pages in the notebook.

”There’s one more thing our readers, including all our editors, are quite curious about,” the interviewer said, ”You’ve been in the industry for over two years, had several relationship rumors but it seems you rarely respond. We’re very curious, what are your views on love?”

”Love?” Zhou Yun thought the interviewer would ask about the rumors.

”Yes, to be precise, what’s your perspective on love?”

”You ask all of a sudden, I don’t know what to say.”

”Then give an example. If love and career were in conflict, and you could only choose one, what would you choose?” the interviewer asked.

Zhou Yun opened her mouth in surprise.

This question had actually become a cliché already. So many discussions about it, love or career? But the question continues to appear persistently in front of various people at various times.

It’s enough to show that no matter what the answer, it affects a vast group of people.

Zhou Yun thought for a good while and said, ”Actually, I can’t really answer right now, I haven’t faced such a conflict. I don’t know what choice I would make in that situation. But, I suddenly thought of one of my favorite American TV shows, ’Friends’.”

”In it, there are two characters, Ross and Rachel, they are a couple, very much in love. When Rachel got a job related to her beloved fashion field, the busy job started to reduce the time they spent together. Later, on their anniversary, Rachel had to work overtime to solve a problem caused by an order.”

”Ross went to Rachel’s office with food and wine, one person busy to the point of exploding, the other wanting the other to spend more time together, their conflict was huge, that night, after Rachel finished her work and went home, she had a fierce argument with Ross. Ross said it’s just a job, because of this job we haven’t had a proper conversation for a week. Rachel said something I remember deeply, she said, it’s just a job? This is a job I finally found, a job I love and am good at. That was the gist of it.”

Zhou Yun suddenly smiled and said, ”Actually, everyone’s answer is different. Some people find security in love, and some in their career.”

”What about you?” asked the interviewer, ”Love and career, which gives you more sense of security?”
