Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 317: Chapter 276: Rise Phase: 112

In many people’s impressions, celebrities only need to dress up beautifully and walk the red carpet to take photos at international film festivals.

In fact, there are many other tasks.

Interviews are one of the most common tasks.

Over the past year, Zhou Yun, having risen to fame, has accepted countless interviews.

The most tiresome part of doing interviews is answering the same questions repeatedly by different people. Zhou Yun has given the same answer many times, but she still needs to reply over and over again.

Often, this is not just about Zhou Yun promoting herself, but also about cooperating with others to help them complete their work.

All journalists would ask: Zhou Yun, could you reveal a little about your red carpet look for tomorrow? What style will it be?

All journalists would also ask: How do you feel about your first time at the Venice International Film Festival?

All journalists would further ask: Do you think ”Life” can win an award?

...

Zhou Yun does not mean to criticize these questions as lacking depth, in fact, she understands that these are what everyone really wants to know, what they most want to see. But some questions are really hard to answer, difficult to respond to.

For instance, ”Do you think ’Life’ can win an award?” How should she answer?

If she says it can win and then it doesn’t, isn’t that a slap in the face?

If she says it can’t win, that means she has no confidence in the film, and if the main actor has no belief in the movie, how good can the movie really be?

In the end, Zhou Yun could only laugh it off.

Of course, these thoughts could only be buried in her heart.

She is the only female lead in the movie, to be precise, the only primary character. Her solo performance constitutes nearly eighty percent of the film. She is the only actor from the crew attending this film festival, so promoting this movie is her job.

After a whole day, Zhou Yun felt as if her soul were about to fly away.

By four-thirty in the afternoon, she had a half-hour break to rest.

Zhou Yun closed her eyes to rest, and after a while suddenly remembered to call Huaichun.

She opened her eyes, sighed woefully, and took out her phone.

”Hello, Mr. Gu,” Zhou Yun said as she got through the call, smiling.

Huaichun: ”Aren’t you in Venice right now? Why suddenly call me?”

”Hey, can’t I just be missing my friend?”

”Cut the crap, spit it out,” Huaichun’s attitude was still as dignified and aloof as ever.

”I heard ’Dark Sky’ is filming a sequel,” Zhou Yun said. ”My agent also brought a new person, Wang Jing, she must have mentioned her to you.”

”Do you want me to help her get the role of the second female lead?” Huaichun’s tone did not betray his attitude.

”If you think she’s suitable, I hope she won’t be squeezed out by others with connections. If you think she’s not suitable, then consider that I never made this call,” Zhou Yun said. ”It’s also because you are the male lead that I dared to make this call, doing this for the first time makes me really nervous.”

Huaichun humphed softly.

”Still knowing to be nervous, initially asking you to star in the first part, and you went and messed it up.”

”Can’t blame me, okay? Insisting on linking me with you to create buzz, wasn’t that awkward?” Zhou Yun complained, ”The person in charge of your platform is really brainless.”

Huaichun laughed.

”What if Wang Jing doesn’t get chosen later, would you blame me?”

Zhou Yun said: ”Blame you, yes.”

”Get lost.”

”Bye.”

”Bye.”

Zhou Yun had a smile at the corner of her mouth. She knew that Huaichun had agreed.

After she put down the phone, Zheng Xiaojue suddenly asked, ”Sister Xiao Yun, were you just calling Huaichun?”

Zhou Yun hummed in affirmation.

Zheng Xiaojue twisted her hands nervously, seeming embarrassed, and asked, ”Sister Xiao Yun, could you help me get an autograph photo of Huaichun next time?”

”Ah? You like him?” Zhou Yun asked in surprise.

”Not at all,” Zheng Xiaojue hastily waved and shook her head in denial, then explained, saying, ”A friend of mine, she really likes Huaichun. It’s almost her birthday, so I thought of getting an autograph photo to give her as a birthday gift.”

”Is that so.” Zhou Yun nodded, ”No problem, I’ll get it for you once I’m back.”

Zheng Xiaojue smiled happily.

”Thank you, Sister Xiao Yun!”

Zhou Yun lay flat on the couch, stretching her legs straight.

”Wearing high heels all day, my legs are swollen.”

Zheng Xiaojue asked, ”Should I give you a massage?”
