Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 320: Chapter 277: Ascendant Phase: 113

The red carpet has always been a battleground for celebrities, especially female celebrities.

Many female celebrities have gained a significant number of fans just from a standout red carpet photo, as fashion and beauty naturally have their allure—this is the red carpet’s weighting.

Zhou Yun walked slowly forward following the directions, with photographers from different countries and regions in each area.

The red carpet is actually not that long.

On the red carpet, the focus was entirely on Zhou Yun, following the order of group photos with the cast, photos with Zhou Yun and Wen Bing, and solo photos of Zhou Yun.

The moment Zhou Yun stepped onto the red carpet, her heart was actually racing.

But she sensibly warned herself not to be nervous, as any nervousness would show.

Therefore, Zhou Yun almost took the approach of going all out when she walked onto the red carpet, and oddly enough, when she did, her nervousness calmed down.

The short red carpet made Zhou Yun almost unable to feel the passage of time.

It was not until she was about to ascend the stairs that Zhou Yun felt as if she was waking from a grand dream.

The chairman of the film festival was there to receive all the guests at the stairs.

What Zhou Yun hadn’t expected was that this elderly man with white hair and dressed in a suit seemed to recognize her. He not only embraced her warmly but also called out a sound similar to ’Yun’.

Zhou Yun looked at him with surprise and disbelief and asked in English, ”Do you know me?”

”Of course, your performance in ’Life’ was particularly outstanding,” he said. ”Exceptional acting.”

Zhou Yun was astounded.

Beside them, Yao Yuanfeng did not understand English and did not know what they were talking about.

But he knew who this old man was.

And because he knew, Yao Yuanfeng felt even more surprised.

You must understand that this chairman doesn’t casually converse with just anyone.

And there were quite a few camera lenses aimed this way.

The chairman’s attitude also represented a certain message.

Yao Yuanfeng turned and asked Zhou Lan.

Zhou Lan then translated the conversation between Zhou Yun and the chairman for Yao Yuanfeng.

After hearing this, Yao Yuanfeng was even more shocked. It was almost unthinkable. He suddenly thought that if this statement were to be publicized back in China, it would surely cause a sensation. Due to limitations in media channels and the quality of the film itself, there have always been few Chinese actors praised internationally. And to receive commendation from someone of the stature of the chairman of the Venice International Film Festival selection committee was even rarer.

For instance, several actors who often bring their works to the festival have never been praised for their acting. It’s the domestic media that exalt them, using international festivals as a gold-plating service.

Chinese actors who win international acting awards are even fewer in number. Therefore, those few who have won often find their lives transformed overnight. Several actors who were barely known before suddenly became in-demand after winning, appearing in both blockbuster productions and films by big-name directors. Like Liao Fan, like Yong Mei.

It’s a universally acknowledged honor that can breathe life into an actor’s career.

Naturally, Yao Yuanfeng had his own calculations.

Meanwhile, the Chinese media present at the scene had of course captured this moment and sent it back to China as fast as possible.

They had even decided on the headline:

Chairman Wan Ke and Zhou Yun Engage in an Affectionate and Warm Exchange!

Zhou Yun was unaware of what was happening around her. She was in a state of strange joy and disbelief. Many people had told her that she performed well in ’Life,’ that she did really well. Wen Bing said so, Yao Yuanfeng also said so. But Zhou Yun didn’t completely believe them because they were all acquaintances, all connected to ’Life.’ Zhou Yun couldn’t be certain how much of what they said was simply said out of personal regard.

She never imagined that even Chairman Wan Ke of the film festival would take the initiative to say she performed well.

Exceptional acting!

Zhou Yun felt everything was a bit dreamlike.

They entered the Palazzo del Cinema and took their seats.

The place was crowded, with everyone engaging in animated conversations.

Zhou Yun and her group didn’t know anyone around them and felt a bit out of place.

Today wasn’t their main event, and Zhou Yun maintained her smile with a mix of freshness and excitement.

Suddenly, Shi Luoqi came by.

”Zhou Yun!” She stood in the aisle, waving her over.

Zhou Yun got up and went over with delighted surprise.

”You look stunning today! You dazzled everyone,” Shi Luoqi said with a smile. ”Just now, someone was asking me about you.”

Zhou Yun shook her head modestly and said, ”Thank you.”
