Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 342: Chapter 297: Rising Phase: 133

Zhou Yun truly rested for several days.

She had no other work commitments, and for the few interviews that were previously scheduled, Zhou Lan set them in relatively relaxed and comfortable places such as cafes or at the office.

Zhou Yun didn’t have to do much, just show up at ease and complete the interviews.

The reporters were still interested in the same issues: about winning awards, about the movie ”Life,” about her recent life, and about her future filming plans.

Zhou Yun would start shooting ”Warm Little Horse” in October.

She was only set to play a supporting role with few scenes, and at the time she fought for this movie she had to compete with many people even for this minor role.

Now her stock has risen, and coming back fresh from an award win, it was a delightful surprise for the producers, as if they had hit the jackpot.

Even the male lead, Shen Yao, specifically sent her a message jokingly saying: Will you still come to shoot our film? Hope you won’t leave us hanging!

Zhou Yun’s main focus during this period was studying the script for ”Warm Little Horse.”

She was to portray a somewhat scatterbrained, extravagant woman.

”It’s a character type I have never played before, I’m looking forward to it,” Zhou Yun discussed this role in one of the interviews.

The reporter asked, ”Did you take on this movie because the character is interesting? After all, it’s just a minor supporting role, and actresses as popular as you usually don’t play supporting roles anymore.”

Zhou Yun waved her hands and said, ”Not at all, back then I had never acted in movies, and getting this role was already quite a feat.”

The reporter was surprised, saying, ”I thought an actress as popular as you wouldn’t struggle to find roles anymore.”

”Good roles are always in demand, a lot of great actors are waiting for a good script,” Zhou Yun said, ”Moreover, with a film starring big brother Shen Yao, many actors would want to be involved, hoping to share his good fortune. I also quite enjoy watching his comedy films.”

The reporter said, ”The producers must be very pleased now, suddenly gaining a Movie Queen in their team.”

Zhou Yun shook her head and said, ”How could it be, what Movie Queen am I? Winning an award was very lucky, but I still have little acting experience and am currently worried about how to play this role, having never done it before.”

”You can definitely do it,” the reporter expressed a positive affirmation toward Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun could only smile.

After the interview ended, Zhou Yun had to meet and have dinner with the director of ”Warm Little Horse,” Shen Yao would also attend.

”Warm Little Horse” was directed by a new director who had only worked as an assistant director before.

His name was Wan Zhiliang.

He was a man almost forty years old.

Zhou Yun had never met Wan Zhiliang before, and although he was the director, it was clear that the film was still largely led by Shen Yao.

Zhou Lan accompanied Zhou Yun.

The location was set by Shen Yao.

Zhou Yun went there with a bare face.

Zhou Yun didn’t know much about Wan Zhiliang and Shen Yao as they had little previous interaction, so she felt a bit uneasy on the way.

But once they met, everyone was very polite, and the atmosphere seemed harmoniously pleasant.

”Congratulations!” Shen Yao was the first to give Zhou Yun a hug, ”You’ve really made us proud in the Chinese cinema community! I’ve always been thinking about when my films could also make a round in the international arena.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Big brother Shen Yao, you are already one of the representatives of Chinese cinema.”

Zhou Yun’s remark wasn’t just mere flattery.
