Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 322: Chapter 277: Rise Phase: 113_3

”Lady, please don’t leave.” The security guard in charge took a step forward, reaching out to block her path, ”We had our colleagues check the surveillance footage and confirmed that you were indeed provoking intentionally just now. Please come with us.”

”Go out?” The blonde woman’s face changed dramatically, looking at them in disbelief, ”You’re asking me to leave?”

”Yes, ma’am.”

The blonde woman became furious and said, ”You have no right to ask me to leave!”

”Sorry, according to the management regulations, we have the right to eject any attendee who poses a threat. Please come with us, and don’t make us have to take you out forcibly,” replied the other party staunchly.

The corners of the blonde woman’s mouth twitched twice, but in the end, she did not make a scene. She glared viciously at Chen Fusi and Zhou Yun and left.

The farce was over.

Chen Fusi whispered an apology to Zhou Yun, ”I need to apologize to you. This trouble started because of me.”

”Ah?” Zhou Yun was surprised.

”That woman was hitting on me just now, and I ignored her. She probably saw me talking to you and so deliberately came to trouble you,” Chen Fusi said with a helpless expression, ”Sorry about that.”

”So, it was a romantic entanglement,” Zhou Yun laughed, ”Fortunately, it didn’t cause any major trouble.”

Suddenly, Chen Fusi raised his hand and placed it on Zhou Yun’s shoulder, guiding her to the side of the corridor to make way for others passing by.

Today, Zhou Yun was wearing an off-shoulder and backless outfit. The moment Chen Fusi’s palm touched Zhou Yun’s skin, an electric current passed through her body.

She immediately stepped back, distancing her shoulder from Chen Fusi’s palm.

”Mr. Chen,” Zhou Yun called out helplessly.

Chen Fusi immediately lifted his hands and said, ”I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to.”

Zhou Yun said, ”The opening ceremony is about to start. I’m going back to my seat.”

”Okay,” Chen Fusi nodded naturally.

Zhou Yun returned to her seat.

As soon as she sat down, Yao Yuanfeng asked her in surprise, ”Xiao Yun, do you know Chen Fusi?”

”I met him once at an event,” Zhou Yun said.

There was a complicated expression on Yao Yuanfeng’s face, as if he was pondering something.

”By the way, what were you two talking about earlier?” he asked again, ”Are you close?”

”Not that close,” Zhou Yun said, ”He invited me to a party he’s hosting, but I already have work commitments, so I couldn’t go.”

Yao Yuanfeng’s face showed shock, asking, ”You turned down his invitation?”

”What’s wrong? Can’t I turn it down?”

Yao Yuanfeng seemed at a loss for words, asking, ”Do you know who he is?”

Zhou Yun said, ”I only know he’s quite influential.”

”Not just influential, he basically has connections everywhere,” Yao Yuanfeng said, ”I think he has a good impression of you. Grab the opportunity well. With his help, you could make it big in one step.”

Zhou Yun looked down in distaste, chuckled lightly, and said, ”President Yao, I have a boyfriend now.”

Yao Yuanfeng was stunned for two seconds, as if he hadn’t expected Zhou Yun to say that, and when it seemed he wanted to say more, he closed his mouth.

Zhou Yun was relieved, glad for the peace.

...

She received a message on her phone from Zhou Lan.

She asked: What happened? I saw you and Chen Fusi seemed to have had a confrontation with a woman?

Zhou Yun replied: It’s been resolved.

Zhou Lan and Zheng Xiaojue’s seats were not together with them.

Zhou Lan: Xiao Yun, I need to remind you that there are quite a few Chinese people at the opening ceremony today. The commotion you and Chen Fusi caused just now, I suspect many people saw it, and if someone spreads it back in China, there might be some rumors about you two.

Zhou Yun: I understand, Sister Lan. I’ll clarify things with him.

Zhou Lan: Good.

Zhou Yun put down her phone.

The seats in the inner area were almost filled.

Every person was splendidly dressed, and in such an atmosphere, Zhou Yun suddenly felt a sense of ”solemnity.”

Cinema People from all around the world gathered together, using film as a language, to discuss, exchange, enjoy, applaud, and to give the highest honors to the best films.

Such an atmosphere could infect everyone present.

Especially when the main creators of the opening film walked into the inner area to their seats amid fervent applause, Zhou Yun suddenly felt a shiver through her entire body.

She suddenly realized, this was the moment she aspired for, to step into the limelight with her own work.

Moved, and at the same time excited.

Zhou Yun turned to look at Wen Bing.

Normally Wen Bing was shyer and more introverted than her, not talkative, but at this moment, as he clapped his hands, his eyes, too, held that same sparkle.
