I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 455: Chapter 454: Escalate to the Top

”Feeling relaxed? You won’t be relaxed by then!” Liu Jing’s words were cold, with a hint of mockery. If it didn’t work, she would definitely report it. She absolutely wouldn’t allow such parasites in the traditional Chinese medicine department!

Beisitian’s brows furrowed with coldness, and Liu Jing glanced down at her before turning away. She had experienced Beisitian’s sharp tongue before and didn’t want to wait for her to say something that would infuriate her.

Three days, Liu Jing couldn’t wait three days; she couldn’t wait a single day. Qin Fengwang’s attitude had already indicated he wouldn’t make any decisions easily, so she decided to go to the director!

The reason she was so agitated was because Beisitian didn’t act like a newbie at all. When Liu Jing said a few words to her, Beisitian responded with insolence, leaving Liu Jing humiliated!

What’s the big deal about being a military doctor? A military doctor is new here too. She didn’t believe she couldn’t get Beisitian removed by bringing this up!

Zhou Wenwen endured Liu Jing because she was not only a veteran in the traditional Chinese medicine department but also a petty person!

She feared that Liu Jing would secretly put obstacles in her way, taking every opportunity to mess with her!

When Zhou Wenwen saw Liu Jing’s demeanor, she knew she was likely going to the director. She quickly looked at Qin Fengwang and said, ”Master Qin, she’s definitely going to the director. Weren’t we supposed to wait for three days?”

Qin Fengwang sighed. Though he was the department head, he actually had very little power, not even authority over promotions or transfers. The best he could do was report to upper management if someone went too far, but whether any changes would occur wouldn’t be based on his words.

Liu Jing didn’t do anything terribly wrong except targeting newcomers. As unpleasant as her personality might be, there wasn’t much he could do.

”She didn’t agree to that,” Luo Xinfang said with a frown.

Liu Jing must have hit menopause. Her temper was extremely volatile, and she’d fly into a rage over minor issues. Sharing the same clinic with her, Luo Xinfang had overheard her having arguments with her family over the phone multiple times!

Liu Jing was also someone who cared about her image, and using the office landline to argue with her family so openly suggested she had no control over her emotions.

But her original personality wasn’t very good either. This wasn’t entirely due to menopause; it also had a lot to do with her surroundings and attitude towards life.

Some women remain calm through menopause, but some undergo drastic changes. Liu Jing was simply exacerbating her already bad temper.

Qin Fengwang was now at a loss. If the director asked him, he would only talk about Beisitian’s performance over the past week since he didn’t know how Beisitian prepared medicine. Even if he wanted to defend her, he had nothing to say.

However, seeing that Beisitian wasn’t showing any signs of anxiety, he said, ”Let her go if she wants to; stopping her would only make it seem suspicious.”

Qin Fengwang was obviously displeased with Liu Jing, but he wasn’t willing to make it too obvious.

After all, Liu Jing was a veteran employee. She went directly to the 232 Military District Hospital’s director, Colonel Han Zhengyi, speaking with righteous indignation, fervently declaring zero tolerance for such pests and troublemakers.

Han Zhengyi, who was sixty this year, was in great spirits despite the wrinkles on his face and his graying hair. His age was hardly noticeable.

Typically, those with his rank don’t retire just because they hit the official age limit. Han Zhengyi was one of them, as were Du Kai Bo and Wu Yuekai.

Han Zhengyi listened to Liu Jing, assuming it was a customer complaint, and immediately called Qin Fengwang to inquire about the situation.

Qin Fengwang calmly recounted everything without injecting personal opinions or emotions. After he finished, Han Zhengyi sighed with relief, thinking Liu Jing had exaggerated the matter.

However, this kind of issue truly shouldn’t occur!

Han Zhengyi indicated that if the allegations were true, they would be handled seriously.

Hearing the director say this, Liu Jing left with satisfaction. She would absolutely not work with such societal pests. Reporting them was a basic citizenship obligation!

After filing the complaint, Liu Jing felt inexplicably relieved. She hadn’t felt this happy in a long time.

Meanwhile, Han Zhengyi began his own investigation. His personality matched his name; although he couldn’t be said to be completely uncompromising, once he knew about something, he would certainly handle it. This was why the 232 Military District Hospital was comparatively fair and just, with a collective quality among doctors and nurses second only to a few top-tier hospitals!

If this incident turned out to be true, Han Zhengyi planned to handle it sternly. As a military person, one should adhere to military standards, and such behavior was indeed reprehensible!

Han Zhengyi knew that there were indeed some who acted wrongly, but no evidence meant the matter was dropped. Now that he knew who it was, he would investigate and gather evidence for punishment!

He first conducted a detailed background check on Beisitian. Those who exploited public resources for personal gain were usually either financially struggling or trying to earn some extra money on the side.

However, what surprised Han Zhengyi was discovering that Beisitian’s husband was the young and highly decorated Luo Xudong, who had recently moved to Beijing. He had just captured a group of drug traffickers during a field exercise, earning another merit!

Moreover, Beisitian turned out to be the granddaughter of the renowned Tian Family!

If previously the Tian Family was merely considered a state procurement, it now held significant clout in the industry, with everyone eager for an invitation from them!

Not only that, Beisitian seemed familiar with General Wu. The extent of their acquaintance wasn’t yet known, but just knowing him indicated this young person wasn’t simple; General Wu rarely extended much respect to the young.

Someone like this had no reason to withhold patients’ medication!

Remembering Qin Fengwang’s comments, though he tried to stay neutral, it still hinted at some belief that Beisitian wouldn’t do such a thing.

It seemed there were other hidden motives behind this matter.

Given that the issue had been reported, it was crucial to address it to maintain trust in the process. Han Zhengyi decided to delay action, considering Qin Fengwang mentioned Beisitian had agreed to wait three days, so he would observe before making any decisions.

With Han Zhengyi temporarily setting aside the issue, the traditional Chinese medicine clinic continued as usual. The staff worked diligently when patients were present and enjoyed tea and conversation during downtime. Despite fewer benefits and subsidies than Western medicine, the relaxed atmosphere compensated for it.

At this time, a familiar face arrived at the traditional Chinese medicine clinic and went directly to Beisitian.
