I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 453: Chapter 452: The Valuable Invitation

Beisitian shook her head, just how bored could this person be!

Of course, Qin Fengwang wouldn’t say anything to Beisitian. Beisitian had taken a leave of absence from him; doesn’t everyone have their own affairs?

Qin Fengwang understood her well. Moreover, after a week of observation, he felt Beisitian was a diligent and hardworking child. She indeed had some skills. He had heard about Jiang Yanmei’s situation and didn’t know what medicine Beisitian had prepared, but it managed to clear Jiang Yanmei’s issue without damaging the surrounding skin tissue.

Later, it seemed she also prescribed some herbal remedies for Jiang Yanmei. Unsure if they were effective.

Liu Jing didn’t come looking for Beisitian because Qin Fengwang was always there.

Just as Qin Fengwang was reminded of Jiang Yanmei, in she came. She glanced at Consultation Room 1 and walked straight over, catching Liu Jing’s attention in Consultation Room 2, prompting her to stretch her neck to look.

Luo Xinfang also noticed Jiang Yanmei and was curious about the medicine Beisitian had prepared last time, so she got up and walked over.

Liu Jing had been thinking of some excuse, but seeing Luo Xinfang go over, she got up and followed.

Jiang Yanmei entered Consultation Room 1, greeted Qin Fengwang, and then sat beside Beisitian’s desk.

Qin Fengwang was taken aback, then smiled knowingly. It seemed Beisitian’s medicine was effective!

With the decline of kidney qi and exhaustion of heavenly water, the Chong and Ren meridians weaken, leading to insufficient essence and blood, resulting in yin-yang imbalance known today as menopause.

Insufficient kidney essence can cause liver undernourishment, abnormal dredging, liver qi stagnation, and disharmony of organs and qi and blood, leading to low spirits, desire to cry yet speechlessness, memory decline, poor concentration, dream-filled nights, irritability, suspicion, and anxiety.

These issues are like a chain reaction triggered by a single problem, making regulation quite troublesome.

Numerous family issues also stem from menopause, which is terrifying for women.

Such matters can’t be regulated merely by one’s consciousness. Jiang Yanmei, after prolonged regulation, still experiences fluctuations; while feeling normal at times, she even suffered from depression during bad spells, though not to the point of wanting to die, often feeling inexplicably teary, and finding everything annoying.

Aside from emotional issues, physical ones are prevalent too. Constipation is a persistent issue, causing hemorrhoids for Jiang Yanmei, unclear if they came from squatting or straining.

The hemorrhoids issue is worsening. If those bumps are rubbed aggressively, they’ll burst, gushing blood like a menstrual period. They resurface within days, worsening each time.

Even wearing slippers incorrectly could trigger her wrath, let alone bowel issues.

Previously, she’s almost suffocated due to it. If she had died from being constipated, she might have been the first in human history!

Fortunately, Doctor Xiao Bei’s medication helped her clear out, giving her a glimmer of hope for future days, at least not worrying about suffocating after several constipated days.

”Doctor Xiao Bei, now I use the bathroom every two days, and it’s so smooth—nothing hard, nothing long, no pain.” Jiang Yanmei’s smile was genuine.

”Could you prescribe me two more doses?” Jiang Yanmei added.

Initially, she had no high hopes for the medicine, trying it out of curiosity. Unexpectedly, her condition improved on the third day, just as Beisitian had said.

Beisitian laughed, ”Those medicines are only for treating constipation. Your constipation is largely due to menopause.”

Jiang Yanmei nodded repeatedly, indeed, she hadn’t been prone to constipation before, but reportedly it affects most people as they age.

”I’ll follow your advice, whatever you think is best,” Jiang Yanmei now fully trusted Beisitian.

Whoever could treat her ailments, she’d believe them.

Beisitian wrote down several medicinal ingredients and said, ”Get these and bring them to me, come back tomorrow for the medicine.”

Her words surprised not only Jiang Yanmei but also Qin Fengwang and even Luo Xinfang and Liu Jing standing at the door.

Gathering medicines for tomorrow—didn’t that imply she would personally brew them for the patient?

It wasn’t about diminishing her status, but could she handle it if there were many patients?

Jiang Yanmei didn’t think much of it. If someone could brew the medicine for her, she’d be more than willing. She nodded and took the prescription to pay and collect the herbs.

Returning, she placed several packets of medicinal ingredients on Beisitian’s desk and left without any hesitation, clearly illustrating her trust in Beisitian.

Liu Jing cast a cold glance at Beisitian before returning to her clinic, muttering to herself that it was just a strike of luck!

Luo Xinfang stayed behind, and Zhou Wenwen joined, both curious about what medicine Beisitian was preparing.

”Xiao Bei, do you usually make medicines yourself?” Zhou Wenwen asked.

Beisitian shook her head, ”Not generally, but for those who need rapid relief from liver qi stagnation and liver-kidney yin deficiency, I can only make the medicine myself.”

With general Chinese medicine, it might take at least several months to see effects.

Beisitian wasn’t anxious, but she was a Mystic Doctor, naturally using her specialized skills.

”How do you typically make the medicine, do you take it home to brew?” Zhou Wenwen asked clumsily, immediately realizing her impropriety. She covered her mouth, then laughed self-deprecatingly, ”I blurt out things, if it’s inconvenient for you to say, never mind.”

It really was inconvenient for Beisitian to disclose, so she laughed, ”It’s a family secret, sorry about that.”

”No worries, it’s my fault for being so forward. Being around you makes me feel younger, even my mind feels rejuvenated,” Zhou Wenwen joked with laughter.

Beisitian didn’t mind; she could tell Zhou Wenwen was straightforward, sometimes speaking without thinking. Although one might expect more prudence at her age, it’s human nature, suggesting Zhou Wenwen lacked ulterior motives or scheming, being more straightforward.

Since Beisitian clearly stated it’s a family secret, naturally, others didn’t press further.

Luo Xinfang turned to Qin Fengwang, ”Master Qin, you’re quite familiar with Dean Du, right?”

Qin Fengwang nodded, ”We’re old classmates, though I haven’t fared as well.”

Luo Xinfang chuckled, ”Could you do me a favor, pass on a message, my father-in-law wishes to visit him.”

Qin Fengwang blinked, the Mei Family wanted to visit Du Kai Bo? At this moment?

Luo Xinfang was out of options. Her father-in-law knew Qin Fengwang and Du Kai Bo were old classmates, so he sent her to bridge the gap. Mei Zhiwei hoped to see if there might be an opportunity to get an invitation from the Tian Family through Du Kai Bo.

Du Kai Bo indeed had an invitation from the Tian Family.

An invitation from the Tian Family these days, not exaggeratedly, was quite valuable!
