God's Imitator

At the same time, in the inner field.

After Chen Ran left the room, the first round of the game still had a little time remaining.

These inner field players had nothing else to do and could only check their received funds situation.

Fu Chen checked the funds he received, totaling 8,083, though all these funds had specific usage conditions set.

Modification shop, repair shop, car rental, and TV station each had 1,000 points of funds.

While the gas station was allocated the remaining 4,083 points.

Fu Chen fell into brief thought.

The system would notify each player of the specific amount of funds received. Fu Chen remembered his funds were the most, while Peng Xinyuan had the least, only over 3,000.

But how other players’ funds were specifically allocated wouldn’t be explained in detail. He could only roughly determine it by observing these players’ equipment usage.

Their expressions varied. Some were happy, some puzzled, and some showed annoyed expressions.Obviously, some players, although they received funds, were all forcibly required to use them only on equipment they didn’t like, which made them somewhat angry.

But according to game rules, they couldn’t change these funds’ purposes and could only console themselves that ’any modification will be useful.’

For Fu Chen, this fund allocation method was acceptable.

The gas station he most urgently needed received the most funds, while the other four each got 1,000, enough to use once to verify the related functions.

”Wait, Auntie Zhou should have other meanings, right?”

Fu Chen fell into thought, ”Each player receives different fund amounts and specific usage restrictions. This means Auntie Zhou’s venue is also playing a game.

”The specific amounts and allocation methods should all be decided by her.

”So can Auntie Zhou see my situation here? Most likely yes.

”Otherwise, how would she happen to allocate all the main funds to the ’gas station,’ the only one I used?

”The funds other players received aren’t necessarily the equipment they want to use. This means... that group of players with Auntie Zhou, their judgments about different equipment also differ?

”They also have no way to determine which equipment is better.

”From the previous game situation, Liu Jie’s car pen is ’small cargo truck,’ which should also be a relatively inferior type. She was the only player to choose ’modification shop,’ but she won her gamble and successfully passed the first map.

”So there should be quite a few players whose received funds are now being forcibly required to use the ’modification shop.’

”But Liu Jie seems somewhat hesitant and didn’t continue to the ’modification shop’ for modifications. Why?

”Logically, after selecting a certain equipment, she should keep using it, because these equipment each modify different aspects. Deep modification of one item is more worthwhile than superficial modification of all.

”For example, the ’modification shop’s’ function is to give vehicles a certain probability of automatically passing curves. The more modifications, the higher difficulty of curves that can be passed.

”Later maps’ curves will definitely get increasingly difficult. If only modified once or twice, by later maps, it might be the same as not modifying.

”Players providing her funds will definitely also focus on the ’modification shop.’

”Perhaps there’s some problem with the modification shop? This equipment’s design also has a strange feeling.

”Is Auntie Zhou perhaps using this fund allocation method to have me provide her with more information?”

Fu Chen wasn’t sure if his speculation was accurate, but acting according to his speculation wouldn’t cause any loss.

After consideration, Fu Chen used the five types of equipment in a specific order.

He first used the TV station once.

The TV station could advertise for the other four types of equipment. The equipment with the most ads would receive an additional discount. No one had used it yet.

So Fu Chen advertising once for the gas station here could obtain an additional discount.

Then he came to the gas station. Sure enough, the price here was marked with a ’60%’ label.

Originally, he had already used it once. The price rose from 1,000 to 2,000, becoming 1,200 after discount.

Using it again, the price became 3,000, or 1,800 after discount.

Just enough to use twice.

However, this discount might not continue indefinitely. If other players advertised for other equipment, the additional discount would transfer.

Afterward, Fu Chen also used the modification shop, repair shop, and car rental according to the equipment’s initial order.

Car rental could earn funds for outer field players, but inner field players couldn’t know specific information.

The specific effects of repair shop and modification shop were also invisible.

After each use was completed, Fu Chen picked up the car pen to carefully observe.

”As expected... there is a problem with the modification shop!”

His brows furrowed as he returned to sit in his position.

Car rental, repair shop, and modification shop, these three types of equipment, would all create cracks in the car pen.

Just the degree of creating cracks was different.

The cracks created by car rental were smallest, absolutely invisible without careful observation. The repair shop’s cracks were slightly larger but also not particularly obvious. Only the modification shop had very obvious cracks that should be discoverable unless one was too careless.

No wonder Liu Jie, after using the modification shop, had been hesitant to use it a second time.

Additionally, these equipment had different appearances. Fu Chen was ordering them according to ’the feeling the appearance gives from safe to dangerous.’

From the current situation, this feeling was intentional by the God’s Imitator who designed this game.

...

The second round of the game began.

This time, inner field players obtained funds right at the start.

[Chen Ran has received 11,466 funds.]

[Peng Xinyuan has received 10,533 funds.]

[Jiao Hai has received 7,866 funds.]

[Shen Xing has received 15,599 funds.]

[Liu Jie has received 8,283 funds.]

[Fu Chen has received 13,083 funds.]

[All the above funds have additional usage conditions. Please confirm before using.]

Fu Chen was somewhat surprised, ”This much? Then what were those thousand-plus points of funds we worked ourselves to death to earn at the beginning?”

He looked at the specific allocation method of these funds. Sure enough, it was the same as his expectation.

Still 2,000 each for the four types of equipment besides the gas station, with the remaining 5,000-plus all given to the gas station.

Fu Chen confirmed his speculation was correct. This time was equivalent to ’secondary confirmation.’

Taking advantage of the gas station still having a discount, Fu Chen first used the gas station once. The original prices were 4,000 and 5,000 respectively, becoming 2,400 and 3,000 after discount.

Including the little bit earned before, just enough to use twice.

Afterward, Fu Chen sequentially used TV station, car rental, repair shop, and modification shop.

This differed from the previous usage order.

”The first fund allocation was Auntie Zhou conveying information to me: she must allocate the usage methods of these funds but isn’t clear about the priority of these equipment, so I need to observe closely and decide.

”I use each once to confirm their priority, then the order of using this equipment the second time is the priority ranking from high to low.

”That is: gas station, TV station, car rental, repair shop, and modification shop.

”Auntie Zhou should be able to see my choices. I hope she’ll also allocate funds for me according to this priority afterward.”
