God's Imitator

Cai Zhiyuan paused slightly and continued explaining, ”I mentioned before that you are the most suitable player to become the ’new opposition’ within the community. This isn’t just because you possess basic political acumen and steadily improving game skills, but also directly relates to your personality.

”When it comes to ’seizing opportunities,’ you are much more proactive than other players, such as Zheng Jie, Qin Yao, Auntie Zhou, Dai Yifan, and so on.

”I consider this an extremely valuable quality.

”Sometimes I really envy people like you who were raised in privilege. You can always bravely seize every opportunity without questioning whether you’re capable of handling it.

”So, you originally hoped to become the next game core, hoped to gain more influence within the community, or find an opportunity to enter the five-person group.

”If you have no interest in this whatsoever, then of course there’s no reason to enter a dangerous judgment game to fight for opportunities.

”But if you truly want to strive for it, then you cannot give up this chance.

”Because once many opportunities are abandoned, they will never appear again.”

Yang Yuting knew what Cai Zhiyuan was talking about, this was actually like Wang Yongxin’s previous situation in ’Blood Poker’.

Wang Yongxin had found the hidden mechanism in the game and earned a lot of visa time, while the group Li Renshu was in neither found the hidden mechanism nor earned much visa time.Yet ultimately, it was Wang Yongxin whose influence in the community was squeezed, and afterward it became very difficult for him to find opportunities to make up for it.

Now before Yang Yuting, there were actually only two paths:

Give up this judgment game and simultaneously give up the opportunity to become a game core, after which she would only ever be regarded as an ’ordinary player,’ and Cai Zhiyuan would no longer consider supporting her to become the new ’opposition.’

Or take the risk to participate in this judgment game, without necessarily needing to win beautifully, as long as she could help players from the same community and demonstrate her courage, after returning safely, she would most likely become a new game core and become the ’opposition’ in the community, gaining visibility among ordinary players and continuously accumulating influence.

These were two paths. Choosing one didn’t directly mean abandoning the other, but reversing course might require paying a cost a thousand or ten thousand times greater.

Just like the many things Wang Yongxin was doing now were all paying debts for the impulsive decision he made in ’Blood Poker’.

Judgment games were indeed very dangerous, but there were plenty of games in the community that could be fatal.

As long as the returns were great enough, taking some appropriate risks was warranted.

Yang Yuting considered for a moment, then raised a new question, ”However, given the community’s current ecology, becoming the new opposition probably won’t be that easy.

”Because after Brother Wang joined the five-person group, the community’s management layer became more solid and powerful than before, and my abilities aren’t as good as Brother Wang’s.

”Currently, the ordinary players in the community are basically in a ’vertical division’ state, where they all have relatively deep binding relationships with certain players in the five-person group.

”If I can’t integrate them and just sing a contrary tune by myself, forget about gaining influence, I’ll probably just be annoying.

”Even a new player like Dai Yifan unreservedly supported the new proposal, which really surprised me...”

Cai Zhiyuan interrupted her, ”Dai Yifan? I told him to say those things.”

Yang Yuting was stunned, ”Ah?”

Cai Zhiyuan said indifferently, ”This isn’t hard to guess, is it? He’s always been quiet, but suddenly said so much at the meeting. Although it fits his ’obey the collective’ persona, it’s still a bit strange, isn’t it?

”The first game Dai Yifan participated in after entering was ’Simple Q& A,’ and I led him to victory, so of course he’s naturally bound to me.

”So although the community currently appears to be in a vertical division state, it’s not absolute, because there are no eternal interests to begin with.

”Take Zheng Jie for example:

”When he entered the community, Fu Chen received him and told him a lot about previous games, which greatly helped him integrate into the community, so Zheng Jie was naturally close to Fu Chen at first.

”In ’Blind Date Game’ and ’Fool’s Game,’ Lawyer Lin saved him, so he also pays great attention to Lawyer Lin’s views.

”In ’Simple Q& A,’ I led him to win visa time, so during discussions of many proposals, he also stands on my side.

”These things are never set in stone. For you, ’occupying the opposition niche’ is a long-term process, just take it slowly.”

Cai Zhiyuan paused slightly and continued, ”You don’t need to worry too much about this issue, because I will firmly stand on your side.

”That might not be quite accurate. A more precise way to put it would be:

”I will separately offer suggestions to Li Renshu and you based on the community’s current actual situation, balancing the interests between the ’management layer’ and the ’opposition.’

”As long as you adopt my suggestions, I will help you achieve your goals without reservation.

”This is completely different from when Wang Yongxin was the ’opposition.’

”Because he was a ’natural opposition,’ while you are an ’authorized opposition.’

”Wang Yongxin and I don’t have a good foundation for cooperation, our philosophies differ, and his niche is that of a leader. As long as Li Renshu remains in the community, I have to find ways to suppress him.

”But your situation is exactly the opposite. We have a foundation for cooperation, our philosophical differences aren’t that great, and our niches don’t conflict.

”So on some key issues, as long as we communicate beforehand and reach agreement, that will be enough.”

Yang Yuting fell into contemplation.

What Cai Zhiyuan said made a lot of sense. Although Yang Yuting’s abilities were inferior to Wang Yongxin’s, if she could gain Cai Zhiyuan’s support, then with this trade-off, the difficulty they each faced when serving as ’opposition’ would be completely different.

Although she couldn’t immediately make a firm decision, after initial consideration, Yang Yuting already had a general determination.

”One last question.

”It’s unrelated to the content of this cooperation, I’m just a bit curious. If Li Renshu were no longer in the community, what would you choose?

”Would you support Wang Yongxin? Or look for other options?”

Cai Zhiyuan was silent for a moment, then said, ”Based on the current situation, I’m afraid Wang Yongxin would be the only option.

”But in terms of time, there are still variables, after all, people can change and grow.

”If you could possess about eighty percent of Li Renshu’s political acumen, then personally I think you would be a better choice than Wang Yongxin.”

Yang Yuting was somewhat surprised, but she didn’t say much else, just nodded.

”Alright, I will seriously consider your suggestion.

”I won’t tell anyone about this matter for now, I’ll only maintain single-line contact with you.”

Cai Zhiyuan stood up, ”Good luck.”
