God's Imitator

The situation in ‘Simple Poker’ should have originally been slightly better. After all, it had a 30% transaction tax set. If it could circulate normally, this proportion of transaction tax would indeed be sufficient to consume the room’s chips and maintain the exchange ratio between chips and visa time in a generally stable state.

But due to the existence of the ‘Equipment Forging’ room, Chen Guangming had directly cut off all trading in the entire game hall. Players simply didn’t trade cards, so naturally, no transaction taxes could be generated to consume chips.

Xu Zhao felt that the method of the ‘Equipment Forging’ room was the smartest.

On one hand, it provided players with the function of ”changing Death Immunity Cards,” directly stealing the profits from ”transaction taxes.” On the other hand, it had a way to consume chips, which could effectively avoid chip currency inflation and keep the room’s chips always valuable.

Although trained players could stably produce chips, players who hadn’t gone through training couldn’t.

Moreover, when players changed Death Immunity Cards, they might very likely fail two or three times in a row to change to the one card they were missing, and each re-forging would consume additional chips.

Under this mechanism, a portion of this room’s chips would always be recovered, so the overall quantity of chips could be controlled.

But in ‘Auction Tycoon,’ Xu Zhao temporarily hadn’t clearly discovered a similar mechanism for additionally consuming chips.

Although there was a function to exchange chips for points, it wasn’t mandatory. Players wouldn’t necessarily use it.

Since this room also had a way to stably produce chips, with a large influx of players, the room would have more and more chips, and profits would naturally become lower and lower.Although this room itself supported auctions and players could choose to list duplicate cards for auction, there was a prerequisite: the chip value couldn’t collapse.

Once chip currency inflation occurred, it would cause many players’ chips to become worthless. The immunity items they sold would also be at a loss. Players couldn’t possibly continue staying in this room.

But clearly, judging from Chen Guangming’s reaction, things weren’t as simple as he thought.

...

Cheng Wen lowered his voice. ”Brother Lin, that gold-rimmed glasses guy also came! What does he want to do?”

Lin Sizhi was unconcerned. ”It doesn’t matter. He can do whatever he wants.”

Cheng Wen looked again at the list of items being auctioned. ”More and more people are listing Death Immunity Cards!”

After the previous batch of cards were bought back by Lin Sizhi and Cheng Wen, new Death Immunity Cards finally appeared in the auction house, though the prices were no longer as cheap as before.

The prices of these cards were basically around 15,000 to 20,000 chips, which was somewhat high.

This was because players also weren’t clear about what price would be appropriate to list at. Many people were still worried about chip currency inflation, so they listed at relatively high prices as an attempt.

Only after a few more transactions would players be able to roughly determine the specific prices.

...

Just then, the game’s fifth dividend distribution began.

Before the dividend distribution started, Chen Guangming had already left the room one step ahead. He only glanced at the chip exchange counter situation, then immediately returned to the ‘Equipment Forging’ room to call the players who had originally stayed in the room.

The players in the ‘Auction Tycoon’ room also came to queue at the chip exchange counter one after another.

[The dividend amount for this room this time is: 265,000 minutes of visa time.]

[The chip exchange ratio for the current room is: ”Chips : Visa Time = 100 : 94”]

Seeing this number, all the players were very surprised.

”This much?”

This was quite an exaggerated number. Not only were the dividends high, but the chip exchange ratio was also very high.

There was only one explanation for this situation: the God’s Imitator of this room had provided a large amount of concessions in the game room!

That is, they had also deposited their own visa time as dividends. So after the original 150,000 minutes of visa time dividends were exhausted, they could still continue providing more dividends.

...

Chen Guangming had already returned to the ‘Equipment Forging’ room early and said to the others in the small group,

”Qi Fan, Ma Chengye, all of us go grab the game stations in ’Auction Tycoon.’

”Right now those players are all exchanging chips. As long as we occupy those game stations, we can obtain stable profits.”

Qi Fan and the others had already seen the dividend situation in ‘Equipment Forging’ at this time.

[The dividend amount for this room this time is: 113,000 minutes of visa time.]

[The chip exchange ratio for the current room is: ”Chips : Visa Time = 100 : 64”]

Clearly, this room was no longer as cost-effective as ‘Auction Tycoon.’

Qi Fan and Ma Chengye looked at each other and nodded. ”Alright, we’ll go right now. What about you?”

Chen Guangming placed a card on the game station. ”I still have one card that needs to be converted. You go first, I’ll come right away.

”Hurry. Once those people finish exchanging chips, there won’t be any positions left.”

Time was urgent. Qi Fan didn’t ask more questions and just went with the other five players to the ‘Auction Tycoon’ room to meet up with Xu Zhao.

...

Up to this point, only three rooms in the game hall still had dividends that weren’t exhausted: ‘Auction Tycoon,’ ‘Equipment Forging,’ and Chess Endgame.

But ‘Chess Endgame’ still had dividends merely because not many players went to play there. Most players also didn’t believe that the God’s Imitator who designed this game would provide much additional concessions.

From the dividend situations of ‘Equipment Forging’ and ‘Chess Endgame,’ some information could also be gleaned.

The God’s Imitator of ‘Equipment Forging’ had clearly also provided a large amount of concessions. If they continued playing, there could still be many profits.

But the problem was that this room required a lot of practice time to obtain stable profits. Currently, only a minority of players like Chen Guangming could do it.

Moreover, the game time for each round was relatively fixed.

After players flooded into ‘Auction Tycoon,’ because there were more game stations and it used an auction format, it could clearly refresh more dividend quotas.

Instead, chip currency inflation occurred in the ‘Equipment Forging’ room.

If Chen Guangming’s plan could be smoothly implemented, with most players in the room using the ‘Equipment Forging’ game stations to convert cards, a large amount of chips would be consumed, and the entire room wouldn’t experience currency inflation.

But at this time, many players had left the room. Chen Guangming and these players could obtain stable profits, and the chips had no additional consumption channels, so the chips became less valuable.

For a game that determined rankings based on profits, earning less was the same as losing.

So Qi Fan, following Chen Guangming’s request, brought the small group’s players to ‘Auction Tycoon,’ wanting to seize the game stations in this room to earn more profits.

Many players had gone to exchange dividends, so game stations became available.
