[Now announcing each player’s bid.]

[Community 4, Wu Xiaomei, bid 30,000]

[Community 8, Jiao Hongtao, bid 30,000]

[Community 11, Peng Hong, bid 30,000]

[Community 17, Zhou Guifen, bid 8,005]

[Community 13, Liu Mingxin, bid 5,100]

[Community 10, Fu Yujun, bid 1,500]

[Players with identical bids please grip the handrails on both sides of the control panel. In 1 minute, electric shock will be used to determine final ownership of items. Players who persist longer will obtain better car pens.]

The players each looked at their control panels.

The structure of this control panel wasn’t complicated. The height reached roughly to slightly below the players’ chests, with an operable platform and sight-blocking partition on top.Below the platform, on the pillar supporting the control panel, were two metal handrails that could be reached by bending down.

A 1-minute countdown appeared on the large screen again. Wu Xiaomei, Jiao Hongtao, and Peng Hong each bent down to grip the handrails.

At the same time, they instinctively looked at the others’ situations.

Then they silently waited.

...

Seeing this result, Yang Yuting felt somewhat relieved.

”Good, this situation is acceptable.

”From these people’s bids, we can also see some personality traits.

”Fu Yujun and Liu Mingxin are relatively rational. Auntie Zhou isn’t very rational but not impulsive either. Although there wasn’t really any strategy, the result can actually be considered good. Although she can only get the fourth tier ’pickup truck,’ the original tier was 12,000, so it’s still worthwhile.”

Obviously, the impulsiveness of the three players Wu Xiaomei, Jiao Hongtao, and Peng Hong had caused the bidding tiers to change.

Among these three, whoever got the ’sports car’ would still be worthwhile, but the third place only getting the ’SUV’ would be very uneconomical.

The countdown on the large screen had five seconds remaining.

However, at this moment, Wu Xiaomei and Peng Hong, who were gripping the handrails, suddenly changed their postures.

Compared to Fu Yujun, Peng Hong looked more like a stereotypical greasy middle-aged man, speaking with an accent and sporting an obvious beer belly.

He had originally been bending down normally to grip the handrails, but as the countdown was about to end, he suddenly sat down on the ground, simultaneously wrapping his arms around the control panel’s support pillar, hugging it tightly while switching his left and right hands to grab the handrails on both sides.

Wu Xiaomei adopted another method. She stood on tiptoes, simply pressing her entire body directly onto the control panel, similarly switching her left and right hands to grab the handrails on both sides.

Seeing this sudden situation, Jiao Hongtao was stunned, but the countdown had already ended. He didn’t have time to make the same movements.

The game rules only said players should ’grip the handrails on both sides of the control panel’ but had no requirements for specific postures.

Therefore, Wu Xiaomei and Peng Hong’s actions weren’t violations.

”Zzzt...”

A slight electric current sound came. Jiao Hongtao felt his hands become somewhat numb and tingly, with slight pain. It was just a bit uncomfortable but still completely within acceptable range.

But a few seconds later, a crackling sound suddenly came. Jiao Hongtao felt severe pain in his fingers and joints!

His body involuntarily convulsed, his heart felt like it was being seized, and he had difficulty breathing.

Before he could make a sound, he had already instinctively let go due to the severe pain and instinct. His entire body fell backward, instantly sitting down hard on the ground.

Jiao Hongtao felt his heart still trembling. He gasped for breath in large gulps, his hands trembling uncontrollably, and he wiped the sweat from his forehead.

...

Different from what many people imagined, the electric shock didn’t continuously intensify but was similar to a ’pulse’ state.

That is to say, in normal conditions it was just ordinary current, but at intervals, a more powerful current would suddenly burst out.

If you couldn’t withstand it, survival instinct would make you give up. But if you withstood it, you could fight for another small breathing period.

Jiao Hongtao clutched his heart. For a long time he couldn’t recover because the path of the current also determined the damage from the electric shock. The path from one hand to the other was one of the most dangerous paths because it would pass directly through the heart, easily triggering ventricular fibrillation.

But he saw Wu Xiaomei and Peng Hong still persisting and couldn’t help but feel regret.

Peng Hong was also gasping heavily for breath, ”You give up. Women naturally take more damage from electric shock. At most I’ll end up disabled, but you’ll die.

”What’s the point of playing if you’re dead?”

Wu Xiaomei didn’t speak, just gritted her teeth, tightened her grip on the two handrails, her legs shaking like chaff. She slightly stood on tiptoes, letting more of her body weight press on the control panel, her chin also wedged at the edge position above the control panel.

”Crack!”

Another strong current shock. Peng Hong’s body violently trembled, but he couldn’t make any sound. The spasms in his body made him grip tighter.

Fu Yujun watched silently from the side, his brows tightly furrowed.

When being shocked, people might either be thrown off or be stuck to it.

This depended on many factors. The position of contact, posture, magnetic field effects, and so on could all influence this.

What was cruel about this game was that when a player’s palm touched the power source, muscles would contract due to the current’s spasms, forcing the player to clench their fist, so they would inevitably grip tighter.

Conversely, if the back of the hand or other outer parts touched the power source, there was a possibility of being thrown off.

Fu Yujun noticed that the second electric shock was clearly more violent than the first.

This also meant that during the first electric shock, Jiao Hongtao could still voluntarily give up due to survival instinct, but during the second electric shock, Peng Hong was already stuck and had no option to give up.

Subsequent electric shocks would inevitably be the same.

The God’s Imitator who designed this game had a very clear intention: if you persisted past the second electric shock, then players either had to give up themselves before the next strong shock arrived or gamble with their lives.

A few seconds later, the second electric shock also ended. The current returned to a relatively weak state, but Peng Hong felt severe pain throughout his entire body, especially in his hands, so he couldn’t feel the current weak state at all.

By the time he recovered and could speak a bit, the next electric shock could arrive at any moment.

”That’s enough... Do you really want to die here?

”Hey?”

Peng Hong was still somewhat spasming. He barely opened his mouth, but no one responded.

Turning to look in Wu Xiaomei’s direction, he saw she was still lying on the control panel, but her entire body was motionless with no response.

The corners of Peng Hong’s mouth twitched slightly. He wanted to persist a bit more, but Wu Xiaomei’s state made him feel an even stronger survival instinct.

Ultimately, he still let go with both hands, lying flat on the ground, gasping heavily for breath.

The next electric shock could arrive at any moment. Peng Hong didn’t dare persist any longer.

As he gave up, the control panel no longer produced any current.

[Now announcing the final ’car pen’ acquisition results.]

[Community 4, Wu Xiaomei, sports car]

[Community 11, Peng Hong, sedan]

[Community 8, Jiao Hongtao, SUV]

[Community 17, Zhou Guifen, pickup truck]

[Community 13, Liu Mingxin, small cargo truck]

[Community 10, Fu Yujun, van]

[Funds not spent during bidding will automatically be converted to funds for the subsequent game process.]

Liu Mingxin cautiously touched Wu Xiaomei, who was still maintaining her original posture lying on the control panel, ”...Are you okay?”

After waiting in silence for some time, everyone saw Wu Xiaomei move.

She tremblingly let go, her body sliding down from the control panel.

But after seeing the results on the large screen, Wu Xiaomei’s deathly pale face showed a smile. She said with relief, ”Ranran, Mom got it...”
