God's Imitator

Fu Chen tried it a bit and found it was more difficult than he had imagined.

The rules required players to grip the upper end of the car pen, that is, the end where the vehicle model was located, which would just lock into the position between thumb and forefinger.

But the problem lay precisely here.

Players sitting in chairs had to straighten their arms and raise them high, making a ’front raise’ posture, and maintain this posture and height, letting the car pen’s tip projection traverse the track on the map.

During this period, the car pen’s tip couldn’t touch the map, but at the same time the tip’s projection couldn’t go out of bounds on the map.

After pulling the chains earlier, Fu Chen’s arms were already exhausted, and the car pen he received was the heaviest.

Therefore, just lifting it and trying to maintain it for a period of time was very difficult, let alone precisely controlling it to complete the track on the map under the condition that ’the car pen might lose control.’

Fu Chen looked at the other players’ car pens and found their designs were all different.

But they all seemed to be a size smaller than the one he received and looked lighter.

”The rules said these ’car pens’ have different performance. Maybe the one I got is relatively inferior?”How exactly were these car pens distributed? The rules didn’t say.

”Perhaps Auntie Zhou is playing the game in another venue? Is progress not going smoothly?

”This game is called ’Lifting Game,’ meaning I have to lift this thing? If I’d known, I would have slacked off a bit earlier when pulling the chains to save some strength...

”No matter what, let me think of a solution first.

”There are two types of challenges in each round of the game. We can choose ’punishment’ first, or we can complete ’track in the picture’ first.

”The gameplay feels a bit like ’spirit of the pen.’

”My arms have absolutely no strength now. If I complete ’track in the picture’ later, perhaps I can fight for some more rest time.

”But other players probably don’t want to accept punishment right at the start...”

Fu Chen struggled to think of countermeasures.

Just then, he noticed that the small display screen on his table popped up a new message, and a new broadcast was also playing in the room.

[Issued ’initial funds’ obtained by inner field players pulling the pull rings before the game officially started: 1,370 points of funds per person.]

These funds were displayed on each person’s table and could be checked at any time.

Because toward the end, the pull force of the chains became increasingly strong, so once one player couldn’t hold on, things quickly collapsed. Everyone received the same initial funds.

”1,370, with odd and even numbers. Is this a lot or a little?

”According to conventional reasoning, funds and visa time should be exchanged 1:1, but in that case wouldn’t it be too little?

”Perhaps I should first go look at what specific functions these equipment have, consider modifying the car pen a bit, at least lighten its weight first.”

Thinking of this, Fu Chen stood up to examine the detailed introductions of this equipment.

...

At the same time, after the outer field players finished listening to all the rules for the inner field players, the large screen also began broadcasting the exclusive rules for outer field players.

[Now announcing the game rules for ’outer field players.’]

[Outer field players will also proceed through six rounds of the game, synchronized with inner field players.]

[Outer field players have the following two game contents:]

[Gameplay One: Provide Funds.]

[Each outer field player in this game can spend at most 50,000 minutes of visa time to exchange for equal funds.]

[Funds spent on bidding for car pens have been automatically deducted.]

[Remaining funds will be divided equally into ’six portions.’ Each round of the game, outer field players can unlock one portion of funds.]

[Additionally, outer field players may also obtain funds from ’spectators.’]

[For these funds, outer field players have two uses:]

[1. Directly transfer them to the teamed inner field player.]

[However, when transferring, the purpose of the funds must be specified, that is, arbitrarily choose one from the ’five types of equipment.’ After the inner field player receives the funds, they must use them on the specific equipment according to the outer field player’s requirements.]

[2. Invest in specific equipment.]

[After investing in specific equipment, the funds for using that equipment will be permanently reduced. This effect is shared by all inner field players.]

[Gameplay Two: Truth.]

[When an inner field player is selected for ’exclusive punishment,’ the outer field player corresponding to that player will automatically become the ’sharer’ for this round.]

[They can share any viewpoint or experience, but it must be related to the theme of ’parent-child relationship’ and must be sincere thoughts from the heart.]

[After sharing is complete, each outer field player can obtain 10 ’opposition votes’ that must be cast for other outer field players before the current round ends. They cannot vote for themselves.]

[When voting, insincerity determination will also be conducted. If you agree with the ’sharer’s’ viewpoint, you can vote freely. If you oppose the ’sharer’s’ viewpoint, then the opposition votes for this round must be cast for the ’sharer.’]

[Any outer field player triggering insincerity determination will be considered a violation, one warning, then instant death penalty on the second offense.]

[The two outer field players who obtain the most ’opposition votes’ will be ’blocked’ and unable to directly transfer funds to their teamed inner field players.]

[However, the function of investing in specific equipment is not affected.]

[If multiple players are ’tied for top two,’ then tied players will also be blocked. But when all players are tied, none will be blocked.]

[When a player’s obtained opposition votes are no longer in the last two places, the blockage will automatically lift.]

[Other Rules:]

[1. Outer field players can sign contracts with each other, freely stipulating cooperation content and breach penalties. It takes effect with mutual consent.]

[2. Outer field players can choose to ’live and die together’ with their teamed inner field player, that is, sign an exclusive contract to obtain an additional 20,000 points of funds. But if the inner field player suffers instant death penalty, the outer field player will also suffer instant death penalty.]

[...]

[Additionally, please pay special attention: Before the game ends, all outer field players will be ’publicly tried.’]

[During the trial, spectators can choose to accuse a certain outer field player, but only once per player.]

[However, the game will not announce the outer field players’ specific crimes. Spectators need to speculate based on information within the game.]

[Correctly guessing an outer field player’s crime means the accusation is established.]

[Failing to guess an outer field player’s crime means the accusation failed, and 30,000 minutes of visa time will be deducted.]

[All spectators will conduct a ’public trial vote’ on all players for whom accusations were established. The two outer field players who receive the highest ’guilty’ votes will suffer instant death penalty.]

[...]

[This game prohibits violence or other violations. Violators will suffer instant death penalty.]

[The above are the game rules for outer field players. Please explore and discover more hidden rules yourselves.]

[Finally, please remember: Precisely because becoming a ’car pen’ driver requires no training, one should be all the more cautious.]

[The game is about to begin. Please prepare yourselves, players!]

After hearing the rules, Zhou Guifen was visibly somewhat flustered.

She had been confused by the previous rules, but she heard the second item of ’other rules’ very clearly.

There were two types of contracts. One type was signed between outer field players, which could be freely stipulated and took effect with mutual consent.

The other type was ’live and die together,’ which didn’t need discussion. Outer field players could sign it themselves.

After signing, as long as their child in the inner field suffered death penalty, the outer field player would also suffer instant death penalty. It was literally ’live and die together.’

And risking such enormous life danger to sign the contract had only one benefit: obtaining 20,000 points of funds.

According to the exchange ratio, these funds were merely equivalent to 20,000 minutes of visa time, which wasn’t much at all.

But in this game, the exchange quantity of funds was strictly limited, 50,000 per person.

Funds could be directly given to inner field players to use various equipment to modify the car pen’s performance, thereby occupying an advantage in the game.

If she didn’t exchange while others did, then others could obtain additional funds and occupy advantages in the game.

This way, the mortality rate of her own child would increase.

But the problem was, from the current rules, aside from this contract, outer field players had no other death risks in this game.

If everyone didn’t sign, no one needed to take risks, and the game rules would still be fair.

If everyone signed, the game content wouldn’t change much, but on the outer field players’ side, there might very likely be rivers of blood.
