God's Imitator

The outer field fell into silence. No one spoke anymore.

Now that the items had been distributed, regardless of whether they felt their bid was too high or too low, there was no room for regret.

More importantly, this simple auction before the game started gave all outer field players a bad premonition.

The subsequent game process would very likely replay the scene of Wu Xiaomei and Peng Hong enduring electric shocks and gambling with their lives.

All were parents. No one would doubt their own determination, and likewise, no one would doubt others’ determination either.

The large screen switched to footage of the inner field players. Everyone silently watched, especially focusing on their own children’s situations.

Finally, after more than two minutes, the six inner field players could no longer hold on.

Someone let go first, the chains rapidly retracted, then a chain reaction occurred, forcing all players to let go.

”Clang!” The chains and handles struck the floor with a neat sound, seeming to symbolize the game’s official start.

Fu Chen looked at his hands. The skin at the second knuckle joints had been worn away, vaguely hurting. Both arms were completely drained of strength, numb and sore, and his hands trembled involuntarily.

With a ”click,” the mechanism that had originally locked everyone’s waists unlocked, and they regained their freedom.

However, the mechanisms on their heads remained and couldn’t be removed.

The large screen began displaying the official game rules.

[Now announcing the game rules for ’inner field players.’]

[In this game, inner field players must complete two challenges. Failure to complete either will result in instant death penalty.]

[Shortly you will be distributed different ’car pens’ with varying performance. They are the core items for completing this game. Please treasure and use them properly.]

[The game will proceed for a total of six rounds. In each round, both challenges need to be completed once each, but you may discuss and decide the order of the two challenges.]

[Now, the specific content of the two challenges will be introduced. Please look toward the newly appeared platform in the center of the room.]

The sound of mechanisms rumbling upward echoed in the room. Originally there was nothing in the central position except those iron chains and pull rings connected below the floor, but now new mechanisms appeared.

In the very center was a huge hexagonal platform, roughly level with an ordinary tabletop.

Around this hexagonal platform were sets of tables and chairs, six sets in total.

Naturally corresponding to the six inner field players.

After the platform stopped moving, everyone came to the table and chairs facing them to examine.

Fu Chen noticed that on the tabletop was a map. Besides simple scenery, there was a winding road extending from the upper left of the image to the upper right, turning a few corners, though the angles weren’t large.

At the very top of the table was a sealed rectangular iron box.

On the larger hexagonal platform, besides a smaller hexagonal area in the center, the rest was divided equally into six trapezoidal areas.

Additionally, a special mechanism was suspended above the table, its purpose currently unclear.

On the corresponding trapezoidal area, players’ names were also marked.

[Challenge One: Exclusive Punishment]

[Players will place their car pens into the special mechanism on the hexagonal platform, then simultaneously grip the car pens, keeping their arms suspended without moving.]

[At the same time, the players’ facial mechanisms will lock and obstruct their vision.]

[During this period, actively applying any pushing force is strictly prohibited. Otherwise, it will be considered a violation, one warning, then instant death penalty on the second offense.]

[When the special mechanism moves to a player’s corresponding trapezoidal area, that player’s corresponding punishment room will unlock.]

[That player must enter the room and accept punishment before the current round ends, otherwise they will suffer instant death penalty.]

[Challenge Two: Track in the Picture]

[Players sit at their respective tables, holding their car pens, gripping the topmost end with arms suspended. They enter the track from the entrance of the map track on the table, then exit from the exit.]

[During this period, the car pen cannot touch the map. The car pen’s tip projection must remain within the track and must not touch the track edges. No rest is allowed midway.]

[Each round, players have three attempts.]

[If successful, the next round will update to the next map. If failed, the next round will continue challenging the current map.]

[There are six maps in total. At the end of the game, successfully completing the third map is considered challenge success, otherwise instant death penalty will be suffered.]

[Completing more maps can earn additional visa time rewards, with a maximum of 100,000 minutes of visa time.]

[Please note: Different car pens have different performance, and all have a certain probability of ’losing control,’ meaning randomly generating special force in any direction. Players can control them themselves or modify them through ’equipment’ in the game.]

At the same time, five square platforms rose from the floor of the hall, somewhat like independent jewelry display cases where items could be placed, with simple operation buttons.

Moreover, these platforms all had different designs. For instance, one platform clearly looked like a miniature gas station, very distinctive.

[These five types of equipment are: modification shop, repair shop, car rental, gas station, TV station.]

[They each have different uses. You can use this equipment to modify car pens or execute Special Game strategies, but all require funds.]

[The funds consumed by the five types of equipment may change with game progress. For specific functions, usage methods, and fund consumption, please check the notice boards on the equipment platforms yourselves.]

[...]

[Additionally, please pay special attention. There is one extremely important hidden rule in the inner field:]

[Among the six inner field players, there is one ’super authority player.’]

[If this player survives until the end of the game, they will unlock ’super authority’: they can bypass the Gallery’s underlying rules and directly decide the fate of one to two players (including but not limited to life and death).]

[The method to identify the ’super authority player’ is: this player and the outer field player teamed with them, deep in their hearts, both have no guilt toward each other.]

[...]

[This game prohibits violence or other violations. Violators will suffer instant death penalty.]

[The above are the game rules for inner field players. Please explore and discover more hidden rules yourselves.]

[Now, please collect your own ’car pens.’]

[’Car pens’ are exclusive items. Exchanging them is strictly prohibited. Once damaged, they cannot be recovered. Please pay special attention!]

[In 10 minutes, the game will officially begin. Please prepare yourselves, players!]

On each person’s table, there was a rectangular iron box that now opened with a ”pop.”

Inside were the car pens the outer field players had previously auctioned.

Fu Chen picked up his car pen and discovered upon handling it that this thing was much heavier than imagined.

It felt somewhat cold to the touch, leaning more toward metal material. The design was somewhat rough, with a ’van’ symbol at the very top.

On the table was a detailed diagram, including the player’s sitting posture and the motion of gripping the car pen, all with detailed instructions.

If the posture was incorrect, it would be judged as failure.
