God's Imitator

In this game, the contract signing function was quite simple with high degrees of freedom.

One party would draft the contract content on their control panel and could specify sending it to another outer field player.

If both parties confirmed there were no errors, each operated on their control panel, which was considered completion of signing.

Contracts could only be signed between two players and couldn’t simultaneously bind multiple people.

The contract conditions could be stipulated by both parties themselves, using in-game items as performance responsibilities or breach penalties.

But there was a special note on the control panel: The conditions exchanged by both parties must be ’things definitively possessed in this game.’

What was easiest to think of was undoubtedly ’visa time’ and ’funds.’

Visa time was hard currency in the Gallery, but in this game, funds were even more precious.

Soon, Fu Yujun and Zhou Guifen’s contract was completed.

The contract content wasn’t complex, mainly stipulating that both parties would default to casting 10 ’opposition votes’ for each other during voting rounds. However, when situations arose where others didn’t fulfill contracts, both parties could immediately dissolve the contract after mutual consultation, or one party could freely dissolve the contract during the next game round.Additionally, if one party breached the contract, they had to compensate the other party with 5,000 points of funds.

This contract condition wasn’t harsh. After all, Fu Yujun had also said that this kind of contract was actually ’guarding against gentlemen but not villains,’ mainly relying on all outer field players’ conscientiousness.

Moreover, Fu Yujun and Zhou Guifen naturally had a relatively good foundation of mutual trust. Both parties signing a contract was actually more of a formality.

Soon, other players also successively indicated they had completed signing.

”Time is running out. Let’s hurry up and vote.”

Everyone completed voting at their respective control panels.

Soon, this round’s voting results appeared on the control panels and large screen.

[Wu Xiaomei: 10 votes]

[Peng Hong: 10 votes]

[Jiao Hongtao: 10 votes]

[Zhou Guifen: 10 votes]

[Liu Mingxin: 10 votes]

[Fu Yujun: 10 votes]

[Before the next round begins, if the current vote pattern is maintained, no players are blocked.]

Seeing this result, everyone’s faces showed joyful expressions.

”Success!” Zhou Guifen also felt somewhat surprised. She was confident in her cooperation with Fu Yujun but wasn’t sure whether others could also achieve cooperation.

No one being blocked was the best result acceptable to all players.

At this time, broadcasts sounded in succession.

[Spectator 3 has bet 20,000 minutes of visa time on Chen Ran.]

[Spectator 4 has transferred 5,000 points of funds to Wu Xiaomei and expressed ‘Approval.’]

...

A large amount of betting and fund transfer information appeared. Because the speed was too fast to broadcast, it all scrolled on the large screen. Some earlier information was even refreshed off screen.

However, each outer field player could still query information related to themselves on their control panel.

...

In the spectator lounge, Yang Yuting had also completed betting on Fu Chen and Shen Xing, and separately transferred 10,000 points of funds to Zhou Guifen and Fu Yujun.

Each player had a total of 30,000 points of funds. Yang Yuting naturally chose to transfer these funds to Fu Yujun and Zhou Guifen as quickly as possible, so they could transfer funds to Fu Chen and Shen Xing faster.

But Yang Yuting still kept 10,000 points because the funds themselves also had the function of conveying information.

Whether expressing ‘Approval’ or ‘Opposition,’ a minimum of 1,000 points of funds needed to be transferred. So Yang Yuting kept enough funds to express her position 10 times to deal with subsequent situations.

Yang Yuting looked at the display screens representing the 20 players on the wall.

Compared to outer field players, spectators could see each spectator’s operations sorted by category and would be clearer.

Obviously, currently the most bet-on and most funds received were still the Wu Xiaomei and Chen Ran mother-daughter pair.

This wasn’t just because their progress was most optimistic and they obtained more funds, but also because the cooperative strategy Fu Yujun just proposed was an additional benefit to them.

Because all outer field players were tied in votes with no one blocked, Wu Xiaomei’s funds wouldn’t be restricted and could better expand her advantage.

However, some spectators also expressed opposition to Fu Yujun, clearly not agreeing with this strategy.

After all, some spectators hadn’t had time to bet yet and now faced a dilemma. Betting on the Wu Xiaomei and Chen Ran mother-daughter pair could no longer obtain maximum returns, while betting on other players had very high failure risks.

These spectators instead hoped other players could block Wu Xiaomei.

But obviously, spectators’ influence on outer field players was still too limited. The ‘Approval’ and ‘Opposition’ expressed after providing small amounts of funds were easily ignored, and outer field players might not specifically know what exactly they were agreeing with or opposing.

Besides this, Yang Yuting noticed that Spectator 17 seemed to have also executed a similar strategy to hers.

”Could Spectator 17 be Li Renshu?”

...

At her control panel, Zhou Guifen was somewhat hesitant. She looked at Fu Yujun, ”Fu Chen’s dad, do you plan to sign the ’live and die together’ contract?”

The first round of the game had already ended. Up to now, only Wu Xiaomei and Jiao Hongtao had signed this contract and obtained additional funds.

From the situation of spectators transferring funds, Wu Xiaomei had already opened up a gap with them in funds.

If other outer field players still didn’t sign, the gap in funds would probably widen more and more.

Although signing later could still smoothly obtain funds, overall it was still better to sign earlier. After all, the later it got, the lower the margin for error.

Fu Yujun shook his head, ”I don’t plan to sign.

”Even if I die, I still hope Fu Chen can live well. The reverse is also the same.

”Moreover, I believe in him.”

Zhou Guifen looked at Fu Yujun somewhat enviously. She also wanted to have this optimistic and firm mindset.

If these words came from other parents’ mouths, it might make people feel heartless. But based on Zhou Guifen’s understanding of Fu Chen, she was willing to believe this was Fu Yujun’s consistent educational philosophy.

But looking at Shen Xing on the large screen again, Zhou Guifen ultimately still gritted her teeth and chose to sign.

Each pair of parent and child was ultimately different.

Not long after, Peng Hong also signed before the second round of the game began.

This way, among the six outer field players, except for Fu Yujun and Liu Mingxin, the remaining four players had all signed the ’live and die together’ contract.
