God's Imitator

Lin Sizhi added, ”I don’t think there’s a clear advantage or disadvantage between these two plans. The second plan looks cost-effective with discounted products, but we really are spending over a hundred thousand more visa time.

”The extra visa time spent will all increase the difficulty of saving money afterward.

”So we still need to budget carefully. Items that aren’t particularly urgent to purchase should be avoided as much as possible.”

Li Renshu nodded, ”Yes, that’s right.”

In Community 17, there were quite a few rational players.

If less rational players were making decisions, they would very likely instinctively choose to purchase everything mindlessly.

After all, these items all look useful, and with 1,800,000 in hand now, purchasing all four new items and the survival ticket at original price would only cost 750,000. With the discount, it would only require 620,000.

Compared to the 1,800,000 in hand, this didn’t seem like much.

But the problem was that the community’s fund couldn’t maintain this growth rate continuously.

If they spent 600,000 now, leaving 1,200,000, then to reach the 2,100,000 needed to activate new products next time, they would need to save another 900,000.But if they didn’t spend now, leaving 1,800,000, then to activate new products next time, they would only need to save 300,000.

Li Renshu looked at everyone, ”Let’s have a simple show of hands vote. Those who agree with the first plan raise your left hand, those who agree with the second plan raise your right hand.”

Soon, everyone raised their hands. Aside from the three players Lin Sizhi, Wang Yongxin, and Cai Zhiyuan who raised their left hands, all other players raised their right hands.

Obviously, for players of different capabilities, the cost-effectiveness of products was also different.

Li Renshu thought for a moment, ”Then, since we’ve decided to purchase the ’Discount Coupon,’ we still need to determine whether to purchase it one week from now or two weeks from now.”

Currently, the survival ticket still had two weeks of cooldown, while the ’Submit Suggestion’ function had just entered cooldown with one month remaining.

Purchasing items could permanently reduce one week of cooldown time.

So if they purchased one week from now, they could ensure purchasing the ’Survival Ticket’ at the earliest opportunity, but during the ’Discount Coupon’s’ effective period, the ’Submit Suggestion’ function wouldn’t finish cooling down.

If they purchased two weeks from now, it would be equivalent to waiting an extra week for the ’Survival Ticket’s’ cooldown, but the ’Submit Suggestion’ function would finish cooling down just at the end of the ’Discount Coupon’s’ effective period. Using it again could save 20,000.

Cai Zhiyuan said, ”Let’s still purchase one week from now. Activating the survival ticket as quickly as possible will give us more peace of mind.

”The ’Submit Suggestion’ function won’t necessarily work reliably. There’s no need to worry about that 20,000.”

The others also nodded in agreement.

Li Renshu nodded, ”Alright, then it’s decided. We won’t spend anything this week. After purchasing the ’Discount Coupon’ next week, we’ll buy these items.”

She paused slightly and said, ”There’s another issue that needs discussion: recruiting new members.

”If we follow the pattern we observed before, the next time regular recruitment opens should be the 5th day after the game ends, with a wait time of 192 hours.

”That’s about two weeks.

”So this time we can only try recruiting by poaching people.

”According to previous discussions, Lawyer Lin and Brother Wang have poaching authority. Cai Zhiyuan and Yang Yuting both want to become the next in-game core, and they’re both veteran players in the community. Everyone relatively trusts them.

”So after the invitation for the next game appears, if the above four players consider voluntarily signing up to participate, if you find suitable candidates after entering the game, you can consider poaching them.

”Of course, it’s still limited to female players.

”However, there’s one issue. The previous motion already stipulated that only Lawyer Lin has the right to poach. If we’re sure we want to give this right to more people, we still need to pass an additional motion to make the modification.”

Cai Zhiyuan thought about it and said, ”I don’t think this matter is urgent.

”Originally, we said we’d use three games to determine the next in-game core. We’ve only had two games so far, and Yuting has also performed very well. Let’s have one more game before determining the game core and granting poaching authority.

”There’s also a very crucial point: the next game will most likely be a judgment-type game. There might not be suitable poaching opportunities, and there might even be new casualties.

”So let’s wait until after the next game ends to decide.”

After brief discussion, everyone agreed with Cai Zhiyuan’s statement.

It was just that after this meeting ended, neither new products were purchased nor new member candidates determined, which left some players disappointed.

But there was no helping it. As games continued, the community kept evolving, rules were changing, and players could only adapt to these changes.

It could also be considered delayed gratification.

The community had just experienced a casualty, and considering there would be a ’Discount Coupon’ in a week, no one was in the mood for a group dinner. After discussing this meeting’s topics, everyone dispersed.

...

Yang Yuting came to the library area, aimlessly browsing through various books there.

After ’Shelter Game’ ended, Community 17 had decided to use the next three games to determine the new game core.

Wei Yinzhang didn’t want to participate in the competition, so Yang Yuting and Cai Zhiyuan were the main competitors.

But from the current situation, Cai Zhiyuan’s performance was clearly better. Yang Yuting had lost completely.

In ’Simple Q& A,’ she was completely relegated to a supporting role. Although she also served as room host and defended the 8-person room, she was basically just executing Cai Zhiyuan’s strategy. And in ’Self-Selected Game,’ although her returns were also decent, there was still quite a gap from Cai Zhiyuan.

At least from these two games, Cai Zhiyuan completely had the ability to become the new core.

But Yang Yuting didn’t plan to give up so simply. She had always been relatively optimistic in viewing problems.

As long as there was opportunity, she would strive for it as much as possible. Even if things went wrong, she wouldn’t blame herself too much, but would immediately think of remedies.

This was a personality advantage brought by her family environment and also an important reason Wang Yongxin favored her.

Yang Yuting felt she hadn’t necessarily lost for certain.

Because the previous two games were actually types Cai Zhiyuan was good at, and there was also a large luck component.

’Simple Q& A’ used algorithm problems from a programmer’s knowledge structure, while ’Self-Selected Game’ was also a returns-oriented game. Cai Zhiyuan just happened to encounter a game room where he could harvest other players’ returns.

According to the Gallery’s rules, the next game would most likely be a judgment-type or elimination-type game.

These games were dangerous, but risks often coexisted with opportunities.

Yang Yuting now wanted to try her luck in the library area. If she could happen to see specialized questions similar to those in ’Financial Game’ or ’Childbirth Judgment,’ perhaps she could gain a clear advantage in the game.

Just then, she noticed an unexpected figure also appearing in the library area.

It was Cai Zhiyuan.
