God's Imitator

At the same time, the outer field players were all at their respective control panels, but they couldn’t do anything.

Jiao Hongtao irritably slapped his control panel, ”Why do we have to wait ten more minutes before we can transfer funds! The game rules didn’t mention this!”

After the game officially started, all outer field players immediately came to their respective control panels, preparing to provide funds to inner field players.

Before this, they all chose to exchange funds to the maximum limit of 50,000.

For example, Wu Xiaomei, Peng Hong, and Jiao Hongtao, these three players who spent 30,000 funds bidding, would have 30,000 minutes of visa time automatically deducted by default, after which they could spend at most another 20,000 to exchange for funds.

While those like Fu Yujun who only bid 1,500 could exchange another 48,500 points of funds.

Of course, the premise was that the player’s remaining visa time was sufficient.

In Fu Yujun’s situation, there was actually another choice, which was to simply not exchange any funds. This way, he would only have a loss of 1,500 minutes of visa time in this game.

But obviously, no player made that choice.

Before the game officially started, Wu Xiaomei unhesitatingly signed the ’live and die together’ contract and received an additional 20,000 points of funds.Jiao Hongtao hesitated for some time, then also signed.

As for the other four players, they hadn’t been able to make up their minds yet.

However, outer field players didn’t necessarily have to make an immediate decision, because on the control panel, there was a detailed explanation of ’how much funds can be obtained specifically in each round of the game.’

Previously in the rules, it was only mentioned that funds would be divided equally into six portions, and each round, outer field players could unlock one portion of funds.

But in the actual operation process, outer field players might also obtain funds from spectators, so the total amount of funds might change.

Therefore, players actually obtained funds at the start of each round of the game according to ’remaining total funds / remaining rounds.’

For example, currently in the first round of the game, if a certain player’s remaining funds were 20,000, then the funds available for this round would be 20,000/6=3,333 points.

If in the first round of the game, a spectator additionally provided them with 5,000 points of funds, then after entering the next round, their available funds would be (16,667+5,000)/5=4,333 points.

If funds from the current round weren’t spent, they could also choose to save them.

Of course, most outer field players couldn’t be bothered to calculate these details. If they could, they wished they could directly give all the funds over immediately, letting their children upgrade the car pens in their hands to the highest level right away and complete the challenge.

The preparation time before the game officially started was very short. Although a spectator had already bet on Chen Ran, spectators hadn’t had time to provide funds to outer field players before the game officially began.

Therefore, even if funds were provided now, they could only be obtained in the next round of the game, so spectators weren’t in a hurry either. They could slowly think about strategies.

But on the control panel was a special line of information.

[Funds can only be transferred 10 minutes after the first round of the game begins.]

[Other rounds of the game and investments in specific equipment are not affected.]

It was precisely because of this reason that inner field players had not received any funds up to now. After failing once, they could only try using their own initial small amount of funds to use equipment to modify their car pens.

From the current predicament alone, Fu Yujun should be in the worst situation.

Because he got the worst car pen and retained the most funds, but now had no way to transfer them to Fu Chen.

However, Fu Yujun still tried his best to suppress his anxious emotions, silently watching the inner field players on the large screen, waiting for the countdown to end.

...

After brief consideration, Fu Chen put his ’van’ into the ’gas station.’

He only had 1,370 points of funds now, and to use this equipment, the initial funds needed to be spent were all 1,000 points.

From a functional perspective, ’car rental’ and ’TV station’ were functional buildings that couldn’t directly improve the car pen’s performance, so no players were considering them for now.

After all, everyone’s most urgent problem now was to modify car pens and pass the first round of the game’s ’track in the picture.’

As for the three types of equipment ’modification shop,’ ’repair shop,’ and ’gas station,’ their functions were all different, but they all looked useful.

The ’modification shop’ could allow the car pen to automatically pass some curves, the ’repair shop’ could reduce the probability of the car pen losing control, and the ’gas station’ could reduce the car pen’s weight.

The reason Fu Chen chose the ’gas station’ was partly because his car pen was really too heavy, and he felt this improvement was most urgent. The other part was because of feeling.

Because these three types of equipment had different designs.

The ’gas station,’ like in reality, was an open-style building. The internal structure could be seen clearly, giving people a relatively reassuring feeling.

The ’repair shop’ was a semi-enclosed building. Although part of it was blocked, after putting in the car pen, the special structures like mechanical arms inside could be roughly seen.

The ’modification shop’ was a fully enclosed building, where the interior couldn’t be seen at all. Not only that, in the building’s details, there was always a somewhat uncomfortable feeling.

Therefore, Fu Chen ultimately still chose the ’gas station.’

Among the remaining players, Chen Ran (sports car) and Jiao Hai (SUV) chose the repair shop. Their cars were fairly good and shouldn’t need urgent weight reduction, but they likely encountered ’loss of control’ situations, so they chose to prioritize solving this problem.

Peng Xinyuan (sedan) and Shen Xing (pickup truck), like Fu Chen, chose the gas station.

While Liu Jie (small cargo truck), although she also still needed weight reduction, perhaps out of a desire to experiment, became the only player to choose the modification shop.

Soon, this equipment produced different sound effects and finished being used.

The gas station’s sound effect was clearly more cheerful, while the modification shop’s commotion was the loudest and very noisy.

Fu Chen noticed that after he used the gas station once, if he used the gas station again himself, the funds needed became 2,000 points, while when Peng Xinyuan, who queued after him to use the gas station, used it, it was still 1,000 points.

This meant that when the same player used the same equipment, the funds needed for each use would increase.

After completing equipment modifications, everyone took their car pens back to their seats and began the challenge again.

Soon, the next two attempts were also exhausted.

Inner field players weren’t clear about the outer field players’ rules, so they didn’t know the specific mechanism for receiving funds.

They still had to complete ’exclusive punishment’ in the first round of the game, otherwise they would still suffer instant death penalty.

Game time was limited. Since their own funds were already spent, naturally there was no reason to drag it out. All quickly made two attempts.

The result was that Chen Ran (sports car), Peng Xinyuan (sedan), and Liu Jie (small cargo truck) smoothly passed the first map, while the other three players including Fu Chen failed to pass.

”What the hell!”

Jiao Hai looked very annoyed. He angrily wanted to slam the car pen on the table, but thinking of the rule ’once the car pen is damaged it cannot be recovered,’ he ultimately held back.

Although the car pen looked like a metal product and very sturdy, in the end he still couldn’t bring himself to do it.
