God's Imitator

”Let’s discuss which items to purchase this time.”

Everyone returned to sit at the long table.

Although the items activated this time weren’t like the previous ’Survival Ticket’ and ’First Player Identity Card’ with special uses that could be called qualitative changes, they were obviously all useful.

It was just that questions like whether the prices were worth it and how specifically to use them still needed thorough discussion.

Yang Yuting spoke first, ”We must purchase the cooldown time reduction for survival tickets no matter what.

”Permanent reduction means the earlier we buy it, the more cost-effective it is.

”On the other hand, the cooldown time reduction for the ’First Player Identity Card’ seems less cost-effective compared to the survival ticket cooldown reduction.

”The ’Discount Coupon’ can only be used once, giving 20% off all purchases within a week. It requires spending 100,000 minutes of visa time to purchase. This is relatively easy to calculate: as long as we purchase products with a total price exceeding 500,000 minutes of visa time, the price is worthwhile.

”As for the fourth privilege of the ’First Player Identity Card’... it only takes effect after holding it for one month.

”But we previously established a rule that the ’First Player Identity Card’ must be continuously rotated, which means it’s difficult to generate returns steadily.”If we don’t consider rotation, this actually looks quite cost-effective.

”Because it can additionally produce visa time. 120,000 minutes of visa time, 2,000 per day, which means after the third month, it’s pure profit.”

Wang Yongxin rubbed his chin thoughtfully, ”From the current situation, aside from reducing the privilege cooldown time for the ’First Player Identity Card,’ the other products all look very good and worth purchasing.

”But I have a feeling we’re falling into a consumer trap.

”The privilege cooldown reduction for the ’First Player Identity Card’ is priced at 150,000, which looks more like a price anchor. Compared to it, the survival ticket cooldown reduction looks more cost-effective.

”Not to mention the ’Discount Coupon.’ As long as we have major subsequent expenses, it’s pure profit. But as soon as we buy this coupon, we’ll inevitably fall into a consumer trap to some extent.

”After all, within a week, all products are 20% off. All usual consumption desires will be released in concentration. It’s impossible to end by just buying one survival ticket.

”Buying various other miscellaneous things, we could very easily accidentally spend too much.

”As for the new privilege of the ’First Player Identity Card’...

”I think the number ’2,000’ is actually somewhat sensitive: it means that if a player becomes fixed as the ’First Player,’ as long as they’ve already passed judgment games involving their own file, they could even do nothing, rely on the identity card’s privilege to refuse game invitations, and survive in the community using the card’s daily fixed output...”

After considering for a moment, Li Renshu said, ”Let’s look at them one by one.

”First, the ’Discount Coupon’ is easiest to calculate clearly. As long as we decide to spend more than 500,000 visa time, then purchasing the discount coupon is worthwhile.

”About two weeks have passed since we used the survival ticket in ’Shelter Game.’ In another two weeks, we can purchase the next one.

”That is, after the next game ends, we can directly purchase a new ’Survival Ticket’ and ’Survival Ticket Cooldown Reduction by 7 Days,’ totaling 380,000 minutes of visa time.

”After that, if we buy another 120,000 worth of items, we can ensure the ’Discount Coupon’ is worthwhile.

”Either the cooldown reduction for the ’First Player’ identity card or unlocking the 4th privilege could reach this amount.”

Dai Yifan thought about it, ”They all look quite suitable. While the ’Discount Coupon’ is active, why not just buy them all?

”After all, with 20% off, isn’t spending more even more cost-effective?”

Cai Zhiyuan shook his head, ”We can’t think that way. Then we’d really be falling into a consumer trap.

”Looking at it now, the fourth privilege of the ’First Player Identity Card’ conflicts with the motion we set up before.

”The rule we established is to rotate every 1 to 2 months, but the identity card produces visa time only after being held continuously for 1 month.

”If we don’t change holders, indeed after the third month we could earn back this visa time.

”But with frequent holder changes, wanting to earn back this visa time would be a distant prospect.”

Everyone fell into silence.

Obviously, the ’First Player Identity Card’ item was looking increasingly attractive.

If one could occupy it themselves for a long time, it would indeed be very cost-effective.

There’s one chance per month to refuse a game invitation. As long as it’s not a game where one’s own file was selected, it can be refused.

According to the current game invitation mechanism, many players on average are forcibly invited only once a month.

That is to say, if a player has already experienced a judgment game targeting them and successfully survived, they could completely use the identity card to refuse most subsequent game invitations.

The 2,000 minutes of visa time produced daily, although not much, is enough to cover the 1,440 minutes of visa time naturally consumed daily. The remainder could be used to buy food and drink.

If the community itself already has a subsistence fund for ’publicly funded meals,’ it would be even more comfortable.

Of course, there could still be unexpected situations, such as ’being judged again’ or ’being forcibly invited multiple times within a month.’

Such situations are rare, but one cannot categorically state they don’t exist.

But no matter what, the more privileges of the ’First Player Identity Card’ are activated, the safer the holder is within the community.

But most players also knew this was just wishful thinking.

To hold the ’First Player Identity Card’ long-term requires the majority of players in the community to be willing. Currently, no one in Community 17 enjoys such treatment.

After serious consideration, Li Renshu said, ”Let’s not activate the 4th privilege of the ’First Player Identity Card.’

”The identity card will still be rotated according to previous rules. In that case, purchasing this privilege would be a pure loss.

”As for the other three products, we can have two different plans:

”The first plan is to only purchase ’Survival Ticket’ and ’Survival Ticket Cooldown Reduced by 7 Days,’ these two products. Together they’re 380,000 minutes of visa time. Since it doesn’t reach 500,000, we temporarily don’t need to buy the ’Discount Coupon.’

”The second plan is to purchase ’Survival Ticket,’ ’Survival Ticket Cooldown Reduction,’ and ’First Player Identity Card Privileges 1 and 2 Cooldown Reduction,’ these three items, totaling 530,000 minutes of visa time.

”In that case, if we buy the ’Discount Coupon’ first and then buy these, we only need to spend 424,000. Adding the ’Discount Coupon’ itself at 100,000, that’s 524,000 total.

”Beyond this, any other needed items we purchase would be pure profit.

”Of course, we could also delay an additional week to try to have the ’Submit Suggestion’ function cooldown complete and be used before the ’Discount Coupon’ expires.

”The ’Submit Suggestion’ function’s original price is 100,000. If used during the discount coupon’s effective period, we could also save 20,000.”
