God's Imitator

Three days later.

In the hall of Community 17, a game initiation broadcast notification appeared on the large screen.

[Good morning, players!]

[The Gallery will open in 5 minutes.]

[The name of this game is ’Lifting Game,’ and the game type is ’elimination-type.’]

[Players from this community who must participate are: Zhou Guifen, Fu Chen.]

[This game has a small number of voluntary participation slots, which will be randomly selected from all registered players.]

[However, you must meet the following conditions to register:]

[Age less than 30 years old, or greater than 50 years old.]

[Please prepare yourselves, players.]Although they had mentally prepared in advance, this game invitation still surprised many people.

Fu Chen was first stunned, then felt somewhat relieved.

If it were other players being forced to enter, he should be the first to volunteer.

But since he was the one being forced in this time, there was no need to agonize over it.

Zheng Jie instinctively looked at Zhou Guifen, ”What’s with this game invitation, why was Auntie Zhou selected again!”

Actually, he had wanted to complain before that the game invitation rules were very unfair, some drowning in drought while others drowning in flood.

Zheng Jie himself had actually already entered four consecutive games, namely ’Fool’s Game,’ ’Shelter Game,’ ’Simple Q& A,’ and ’Self-Selected Game.’

If he were forcibly selected again this time, he would really cough up blood.

Zhou Guifen’s situation was slightly better than his, but not by much, having also consecutively participated in ’Shelter Game,’ ’Simple Q& A,’ and ’Self-Selected Game.’

Although ’Self-Selected Game’ involved everyone’s participation, wasn’t entering four consecutive games a bit too absurd?

But there was no helping it, because being forced to participate in this kind of game almost 100% confirmed that one’s file had been selected.

Different games had different screening criteria, and if certain players just happened to meet them each time, this kind of very unlucky situation would indeed occur.

Lin Sizhi was quite concerned about this game’s name.

”’Lifting Game’? What an abstract game name.”

He couldn’t imagine the game’s specific rules or gameplay at all.

Li Renshu hurriedly said, ”There’s no limit on registration numbers this time, but participants will be randomly selected. If everyone meets the conditions, please try to register.”

That’s what she said, but actively registering to enter an ’elimination-type game’ still required great courage.

The five-minute countdown was short, time passing second by second.

Wang Yongxin spread his hands, he didn’t need to worry about this issue because his age didn’t qualify.

Yang Yuting finally made up her mind and raised her hand.

After considering for a moment, Lin Sizhi also raised his hand.

Li Renshu’s age just qualified. She considered for even longer, but ultimately still raised her hand.

Cai Zhiyuan’s brows were tightly furrowed, continuing to consider until the last second, but ultimately chose to give up.

As for players like Zheng Jie, Dai Yifan, and Qin Yao, their ages all qualified, but clearly, they were considered weaker players within the community. Being able to protect themselves was already good enough. Rashly entering this dangerous game, if they couldn’t help and instead fell into danger themselves, that would be too awkward.

Zheng Jie looked at Fu Chen, very hesitant. At the last moment he chose to raise his hand, but the countdown reached zero at exactly that moment.

[Voluntary registration players: Yang Yuting, Li Renshu.]

Seeing the final list, everyone’s hearts sank because Lin Sizhi happened to be filtered out and couldn’t enter the game.

From the results, this four-person list was somewhat terrible, but nothing could be done about it now.

The four players instantly disappeared from the hall.

...

”Beep—”

A sharp buzzing sound rang out, and Fu Chen instantly awakened.

But unlike previous games, the place he was in this time was an indoor scene, not spacious, with only a dim yellow chandelier on the ceiling. The entire space gave people a feeling of cramped oppression.

Fu Chen felt his head was somewhat heavy. He reached up to touch it and discovered a special contraption on his head.

The ring-shaped mechanism bound half his head like a tight hoop, and above his forehead was something like an eye mask, though it was currently in a raised position, so it wouldn’t obstruct his vision for now.

However, on both sides of the mechanism were threaded spikes, aimed in the direction of his temples.

After touching this mechanism, Fu Chen felt his hands and feet grow cold.

Even the bravest person would find it difficult not to feel fear at this moment.

Next, Fu Chen discovered that his waist was also locked by a mechanism, fixed to the wall of this space.

On the ground directly in front of him was a prominent pull ring connected to an iron chain, which he could just barely pick up at the extreme distance if he bent over.

Looking around, Fu Chen discovered this was a hexagonal room. On each wall, a player was locked, six people in total.

The other five all looked very young, but Fu Chen didn’t recognize any of them.

These people were all wearing the same mechanism as Fu Chen, similarly locked to different walls, with a prominent pull ring connected to an iron chain in front of them.

Additionally, on each wall was a rusty iron door, marked with different numbers from 1 to 6, though it was unclear what purpose they served for now.

”Hello, everyone.”

Fu Chen was the first to greet the other players, but no one responded to him.

Fu Chen didn’t feel discouraged. He had become somewhat accustomed to this. After observing the entire venue’s environment, he reached a somewhat worrying conclusion.

”This game clearly has other venues too.”

It was known that four people from Community 17 had entered this game. Fu Chen and Zhou Guifen were forced to enter, while Li Renshu and Yang Yuting had voluntarily registered.

Not seeing Li Renshu and Yang Yuting was still normal, after all, voluntary registration players were very likely participating as ’spectators.’

Spectators could see the inner field players, but inner field players couldn’t see the spectators. This fit common game rules, as it had been in previous ’King’s Judgment,’ ’Reproduction Judgment,’ and ’Shelter Game.’

But not seeing Zhou Guifen was somewhat abnormal.

The more likely explanation was that the scene Fu Chen was in was not the only inner field in the game. Zhou Guifen was also in another inner field.

They were both inner field players but had to face different game content, and most likely couldn’t communicate or cooperate.

Just then, game rules appeared on the large screen.

But it wasn’t all the game rules, just a simple one.

[Hello, players.]

[Now, please pick up the pull rings in front of you and maintain a taut state.]

[All the pull rings’ chains are connected to each other, and the pulling force will gradually increase. The longer you persist, the more ’initial funds’ you will obtain in the game.]

Hearing this, everyone hurriedly bent down to pick up the pull rings in front of them.

Although their waists were locked by mechanisms and movement was somewhat inconvenient, the distance of the pull rings was designed properly.

Fu Chen grasped the pull ring with both hands, took a deep breath, and prepared himself.

After waiting a moment, the iron chain connected to the pull ring made a ”clanking” sound and rapidly tightened!

These pull ring chains all connected underground and quickly became taut in a straight line, though fortunately the initial force was relatively light.

The six players each grasped their pull rings without saying a word.

...

At the same time, Zhou Guifen appeared in another game venue.

She wasn’t restrained by any mechanisms, and the venue she was in looked relatively warm and comfortable, arranged like a normal lounge.

Including her, there were also six players here.

However, these people all looked relatively old, all appearing to be in their forties or fifties.

This was the first time Zhou Guifen had seen so many peers in the New World.
