God's Imitator

Wei Yinzhang continued explaining, ”Solving ’chip currency inflation’ ultimately comes down to finding an appropriate consumption channel.

”But consuming chips will inevitably trigger player resistance and dissatisfaction. They’ll try every means to counter this chip consumption mechanism.

”For example, some God’s Imitators can realize that ’transaction tax’ is a consumption channel, so they set the transaction tax relatively high. But this way, players will also try every means to avoid the transaction tax.

”So a more clever method is to design other consumption channels.

”For instance, the method adopted by ’Equipment Forging’ utilizes players’ need to convert cards, making players continuously consume chips during the forging process. Moreover, as the game continues, players need to forge more and more times, and the chips consumed will also increase significantly.

”This way, the price stability of the entire room can be ensured.

”The transaction tax I set for ’Worth the Wait’ is 10%. This rate seems very competitive at first glance, because most rooms with 0 rake need to set the transaction tax above 30% to ensure profits.

”When players see the 10% number, they’ll tend to come in directly to play.

”Although chips have time limits, as long as they trade once, the time can be refreshed, so this can be circumvented. It’s just slightly more troublesome.

”And ’Worth the Wait’ has simple rules and stable profits. There will always be players willing to accept this inconvenience.”But in reality, this room’s transaction tax is far higher than 10%, because the game lasts a total of 3 hours. After players obtain chips, they must conduct a transaction within 15 minutes.

”This trading itself involves the exchange of visa time and items, so for those less sensitive players, there’s no particularly clear perception.

”After chips are partially consumed, the room’s chip value remains stable, which can attract more players to enter the room.

”More players means more items and more trading behavior.

”Even if ’Worth the Wait’ collides with games like ’Equipment Forging,’ there will still be fixed players who use the ’Auction Terminal’ to trade in order to extend the chip time, so not all profits will be stolen.”

Wei Yinzhang paused slightly and looked at Qin Yao. ”I discovered that most of the games in Qin Yao’s room happened to be zero-sum or even negative-sum games like ’Chess Endgame,’ and it happened to have ’Worth the Wait,’ so I sent her an advice message.

”Telling her she could just play in ’Worth the Wait’ the entire time.

”As for the other halls...

”Although I could tell that ’Equipment Forging’ and ’Auction Tycoon’ were clearly sixth layer games and could roughly see the God’s Imitators’ intentions, the problem was I wasn’t sure about the specific situation in the halls, nor was I sure whether continuously playing these two games could ensure safety.

”So after considering, I still chose the more prudent plan.”

Both were providing advice, but Wei Yinzhang’s approach to providing advice was different from Lin Sizhi’s.

If Lin Sizhi were providing advice, he might deduce possible future situations based on player personalities and game rules, and provide more targeted advice.

But clearly, Wei Yinzhang wasn’t as confident in her own ability to break through situations and didn’t believe she could give sufficiently reliable advice using this method.

If the situation deduction had deviations, or if the grasp of player personalities wasn’t sufficient, this kind of advice might instead backfire.

So Wei Yinzhang only gave advice she was 100% certain was reliable.

Take this situation for example. She was 100% certain her game room ’Worth the Wait’ was reliable.

At the same time, the other games in this hall were mainly negative-sum, which was a relatively coincidental phenomenon.

Because from the total quantity of games, there were actually more positive-sum games. It was just that the players in this hall had bad luck, and some negative-sum games happened to gather together.

In this situation, players who kept winning could obtain excessive profits, while players who lost might very likely be doomed.

If players like Wang Yongxin or Cai Zhiyuan were in this hall, Wei Yinzhang definitely wouldn’t have intervened. This was exactly where they could shine.

But for Qin Yao, it would be very dangerous.

So after considering, Wei Yinzhang ultimately decided to give this precious advice opportunity to Qin Yao, and it indeed had an effect.

But this also meant that other weak players who needed help weren’t so fortunate.

Li Renshu was silent for a moment and said, ”Let’s look at Xu Tong’s archive.”

The others also quietly nodded.

Li Renshu looked at the large screen. ”I want to view Xu Tong’s game process in ’Self-Selected Game.’”

[The exchange price for Xu Tong’s game process in ’Self-Selected Game’ is: 72 hours of visa time.]

This price had increased compared to the price for ’Blind Date Game.’

Although at first glance the prices were both 72 hours, the price for ’Blind Date Game’ at that time also included the player archive content.

Xu Tong was a player from this community, so there was no need to view the player archive. After deducting that portion of the price, the game process alone selling for 72 hours was an increase.

This might be because the selling price was affected by game duration and details.

The longer the game time, the more actions players took in the game, the more complex the rules involved, the more complete the information recorded in this data, and naturally the higher the price.

However, 72 hours was equivalent to just over 4,000 minutes. For Community 17 now, this was no longer much money.

Everyone unanimously agreed to purchase using the community’s luxury goods fund.

Before confirming and analyzing the specific game process, everyone first looked at the list of specific game rooms in the game hall where Xu Tong was located.

’Spider Solitaire,’ ’Simple Poker,’ ’Endure Pain,’ ’Pinball,’ ’Jump Platforms,’ ’Equipment Forging.’

Among these, ’Simple Poker’ and ’Equipment Forging’ had also appeared in Lin Sizhi’s game hall. They were the same games with completely identical rules.

’Spider Solitaire’ was a relatively classic single-player card game. Players could choose different difficulties to challenge. Success brought chip rewards, while failure would deduct the wagered chips.

The higher the difficulty, the lower the probability of successfully completing the game, but the rewards were also greater.

’Endure Pain’ was a quite simple and brutal game. Players needed to use various sharp instruments in the room to create wounds on their bodies and continuously earn chips based on factors like the wound’s length, depth, and pain level.

As for ’Pinball,’ it was an original pinball game.

In the center of the room was a huge game station, all sealed with thick glass. The surface was piled with a large amount of chips, forming a pyramid shape.

Below the pyramid were many cylindrical sticks supporting it.

Around this giant pinball station were 8 smaller pinball stations connected to it.
