God's Imitator

Li Renshu considered for a moment and looked toward the big screen, ”We can ask about the price first.

”I want to query the archives and game processes of all players in the hall where Xu Tong was located.”

[The exchange price for the archives and game processes of all players in the hall where ’Self-Selected Game’ player Xu Tong was located is: 2,160 hours of visa time.]

[The exchange price for the archives and game processes of all players in ’Self-Selected Game’ is: 25,920 hours of visa time.]

Li Renshu did a simple calculation.

”That means if we only review a single person’s game experience, it’s 72 hours. If we review a simple archive plus game experience, it’s 108 hours. For 20 players, that’s 2,160 hours.

”That’s approximately 130,000 minutes of visa time.

”If we don’t review the archives and only check the game processes, it’s 86,400. That’s an acceptable number.”

She looked at everyone, ”Actually, compared to the situation with ’Blind Date Game,’ the review rules this time are relatively friendly.

”Should we check?”Because everyone didn’t know specifically which players were in Xu Tong’s game hall, if they wanted to check, they could only purchase the game processes of all players in that game hall.

This price would naturally seem somewhat expensive, but it wasn’t unbearable.

No one spoke.

Cai Zhiyuan considered for a moment and was the first to speak, ”I don’t think it’s necessary.

”We can certainly check, but what do we plan to do after checking? Retaliate?

”But aren’t the Gallery’s games just like this?

”Although our community has always tried hard to cooperate and coexist with other communities, in many games, we inevitably still have to damage other communities’ interests.

”Because the Gallery’s game rules are like this. As long as it sets down zero-sum game rules, for players, there simply is no option for mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.

”Take this game for example. Our community also has quite a few players who obtained over 100,000 minutes of visa time. Who can guarantee that the visa time they earned is absolutely clean?

”The Gallery set a 30% mortality rate for this game, which means a large number of players will inevitably be eliminated.

”Lowering others’ survival chances can increase one’s own survival chances, and even those of other players in one’s community.

”After all, those assigned to the same game hall this time were all players from other communities. All players would certainly consider the plan that maximizes their own interests. There’s no reason to hold back.

”So, what’s happened has happened. That’s all there is to it.

”Although saying this might make me seem somewhat cold-blooded, but... ultimately, there’s nothing that can be done.”

Everyone fell into silence again. No one raised any new viewpoints.

Neither agreeing nor refuting.

Because this was indeed a topic that left people with no desire to discuss it.

Everyone was clear in their hearts that regarding Xu Tong’s death, they actually couldn’t find any real ”murderer” at all.

Was it the other players in the room?

Was it the God’s Imitator who deliberately buried traps in the game rooms?

Or was it the Gallery that established the minimum mortality rate?

In this game, most of the players who died were probably in similar situations to Xu Tong. Perhaps they hadn’t made particularly fatal or basic mistakes in the game, and most game rooms themselves didn’t have much malicious intent, but they still died due to insufficient returns.

It was like some kind of force majeure, like a natural disaster, disease, or simply an accidental incident.

Wang Yongxin also said nothing more.

Obviously, although he had suggested checking the other players in this hall, this was merely a gesture. It didn’t represent that he truly had a strong motivation to actually do so.

Since most people in the community felt this matter was unnecessary, Wang Yongxin naturally wouldn’t insist either.

Li Renshu thought for a moment and said, ”Let’s change the topic.

”In this game, Cai Zhiyuan, Brother Wang, and Lawyer Lin, you three still obtained quite good returns. Why don’t you briefly share your gaming experiences with everyone?”

Cai Zhiyuan thought about it, ”Actually, there’s nothing much to say.

”I obtained relatively high returns simply because my luck was quite good and I encountered ’Auction Tycoon.’

”What about you two?”

Wang Yongxin nodded, ”I encountered ’Equipment Forging.’”

Lin Sizhi also said, ”I encountered both.”

Cai Zhiyuan wasn’t surprised at all, ”Well, that makes sense then.”

Zheng Jie was somewhat confused, ”What do you mean? Aren’t the other games viable?”

Wang Yongxin shook his head, ”The other games aren’t viable.

”Because only these two game rooms have game rules that support changing the game’s underlying currency system, allowing for ’redistribution’ of the entire game hall’s returns.

”So only by using these two games can you plunder a portion of returns from other players’ hands.

”Otherwise, the highest returns would only fluctuate around 80,000, and it would be very difficult to break through this upper limit.”

Wang Yongxin briefly explained his approach. Overall, it was somewhat similar to Chen Guangming’s method. Both discovered the method for obtaining stable returns in the ’Equipment Forging’ room very early on and saved up some chips from this room in advance.

However, the hall Wang Yongxin was in was somewhat different from Lin Sizhi’s hall.

This hall didn’t have ’Auction Tycoon.’ Wang Yongxin didn’t form a small group, nor did he attempt to unite with other players to monopolize the ’Equipment Forging’ game tables.

At the beginning, he just played in the ’Equipment Forging’ room by himself.

In the early stage, the exchange ratio between chips and visa time basically remained at the high level of 1:1, so Wang Yongxin only kept the chips needed for purchasing training cards and forging. Everything else he exchanged for visa time at the high rate.

By the mid to late stages of the game, more and more players discovered the secret of the ’Equipment Forging’ room, and the exchange ratio for this room also began to gradually decline, dropping to around 100:70.

At this point, Wang Yongxin chose to put his chips up for auction on the ’Auction Terminal’ at a price of 800 minutes of visa time for 1,000 chips, earning the profit from the price difference.

For ordinary players, they couldn’t obtain stable profits from ’Equipment Forging.’ They just wanted to use this room to change their survival cards, but directly exchanging chips from the exchange counter at a 1:1 ratio was very unfavorable.

The chips Wang Yongxin put up for auction, although somewhat more expensive than the actual dividend exchange ratio, were still completely acceptable to these players.

Of course, other players also tried to sell chips, but since Wang Yongxin entered this room earliest, he had the most chips and could also adjust prices in real time.

As more and more players entered the room later, the number of game tables became insufficient. Wang Yongxin found another player to establish cooperation, mainly having this player help hold the game table when he left the room to use the ’Auction Terminal.’

In this way, although Wang Yongxin didn’t monopolize the entire room by establishing a small group, he still earned enough profit from the price difference through information gaps and time differences.
