Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 197: Chapter 169: The Man Who Creates the Future with His Hands

At that moment, Zhao Rong, having tipped the old lady, was preparing to leave King’s Barbecue with his friends and head back to school.

However, just as Zhao Rong stood up, a few arrogant, flashy, spoiled rich kids swaggered over.

One of them, looking down his nose at Zhao Rong, said in a fierce tone, ”You worthless pauper, who do you think you are, playing tycoon? You gave a server tens of thousands for a tip! How are we supposed to tip after a stunt like that?”

Hearing this, Lili immediately shot to her feet and snapped at the snooty man, ”You moron, how we tip is our business. What’s it to you? Mind your own damn business!”

The man’s face turned ashen with rage. His friend in the leopard-print leather jacket stepped forward, pointing a finger at Zhao Rong. ”You poor security guard! Are you richer than us? Since you’re not, why are you acting so high and mighty, giving that much money to a server? You’re just insulting us, the real big tippers around here!”

At this, Yu Lan also stood up and shot back at the man in the leopard-print jacket, ”You’re a bunch of pretentious phonies! You have no skills of your own; you just spend your parents’ money all day, and now you come here to cause trouble for Brother Zhao Rong? He took pity on the old lady because she couldn’t afford her son’s college tuition, so he gave her a generous tip. What’s wrong with that? You so-called rich kids are nothing but despicable, brainless perverts!”

The man in the leopard-print jacket was so furious he was left speechless. He couldn’t believe it. He’d only insulted Zhao Rong once, but this beautiful woman at his side had just ripped him to shreds with a hundred insults.

Just then, the third of the spoiled rich kids, a pop-eyed man who clearly thought highly of himself, stepped forward. He stared at Zhao Rong, pulled a thick stack of 300,000 in cash from his pocket, and slammed it onto the table. ”Hey, you poor security guard, let me ask you something. Are you as rich as me? Can you pull 300,000 in cash out of your pocket, just like that?”

Finished, the Pop-eyed Man roared with laughter, convinced that a mere security guard like Zhao Rong, no matter how much he postured, could never produce 300,000 in cash all at once.

As the crowd watched the three notorious rich kids—the Snooty Man, the Leopard-Print Man, and the Pop-eyed Man—surround Zhao Rong, worried murmurs spread through the restaurant.

”Looks like that security guard is about to be humiliated. I mean, who just carries 300,000 in cash in their pocket?”

”Yeah, he’s in deep trouble. I bet they’re not just going to humiliate him; they’re going to beat him up.”

”Those three are famous at King’s Barbecue for always carrying the most cash. I’ll be impressed if that guard even has 100,000 on him.”

The Snooty Man smirked at Zhao Rong. You’re stunned speechless, aren’t you, little security guard?

The Leopard-Print Man sneered. Just give up.

The Pop-eyed Man stroked the 300,000 in cash on the table. Have you ever seen a truly rich person before, you little guard? Someone who can carry 300,000 in cash just for a casual meal?

Just then, Zhao Rong touched his Magic Ring. He quietly pulled two large leather suitcases out of thin air, placing them on the table. ”You’re right,” he said. ”I’m just a poor security guard. I am poor, and I don’t carry that much cash on me... But I do like to carry a couple of large suitcases.”

When the Pop-eyed Man saw Zhao Rong, who’d been empty-handed a moment ago, suddenly materialize two large suitcases, he was stunned. He recovered quickly, eyeing the cases. ”Hey, security guard, don’t try to scare us! I bet those two shabby suitcases are just full of old clothes...”

The Leopard-Print Man also scoffed at the suitcases. ”You broke security guard. If you don’t have money, just admit it. Why put on a show? You think throwing two old suitcases on the table is going to scare us?” He then let out a derisive laugh, looking down on Zhao Rong.

The Snooty Man got even bolder, deliberately thrusting his face toward Zhao Rong. ”Stop pretending, pauper. If those two suitcases of yours are actually full of cash, I’ll go to the restroom right now and drink the water out of the toilet.”

Zhao Rong just smiled faintly and gently opened the two large suitcases. When the crowd saw that the cases were packed to the brim with cash—a mix of US dollars, British pounds, and euros—they were utterly stunned. When the three pretentious rich kids saw Zhao Rong’s two suitcases full of money, they were so scared they wet their pants.

Compared to the millions in Zhao Rong’s suitcases, the Pop-eyed Man’s pile of 300,000 looked pathetic. The shock was staggering. The Pop-eyed Man immediately swept his insignificant cash off the table. ”Security guard... y-you... how are you so rich?” he stammered.

Hearing this, Zhao Rong slapped the Pop-eyed Man across the face. ”You said something earlier, didn’t you? That if these old suitcases of mine were full of cash, you would go drink the water out of the toilet?”

Terrified, the Pop-eyed Man blurted out, ”Grandpa, this grandson was blind and failed to recognize your greatness! I’ll fulfill my promise right now! I’m going to the restroom to drink the toilet water!”

With that, the Pop-eyed Man scrambled into the restroom to do just that.

After the Pop-eyed Man had gone, the Leopard-Print Man was also dumbstruck. He stared at the two suitcases overflowing with money on the table and stammered, ”Security guard... no, Security Big Brother, you’re the real spoiled rich kid. We’re nothing. We’re just stink bugs at best.”

Hearing this, the assistant grabbed an ashtray from the table and smashed it over the Leopard-Print Man’s head. ”Damn it! Now you see that our boss has money, huh? You pretentious fools are nothing but frogs at the bottom of a well!”

The Leopard-Print Man’s head was split open and bleeding from the blow. He fell to his knees, begging for mercy as he crawled backward. ”Boss, I was wrong! Please, let me go!”

After the Leopard-Print Man and the Pop-eyed Man were gone, only the Snooty Man was left, standing frozen to the spot. He stared from the two suitcases of cash to Zhao Rong, his legs trembling with fear. ”Boss, you... you must be from the underworld, right? How else could you be carrying so much cash?”

At this, Lili picked up a barbecue skewer from the table and jabbed it into the Snooty Man’s mouth, making it bleed profusely. ”Let me tell you something,” she said. ”Our Brother Zhao Rong is not a gangster, nor is he some spoiled rich kid. He’s a man who relies on his own two hands, works hard, and builds his own future. Don’t you ever think that a security guard is a worthless pauper. And don’t you dare think that in this whole restaurant, only you three count as human beings! From now on, you’d better wipe your filthy eyes clean and stop looking down on people!”

The Snooty Man, his mouth pouring blood, immediately lowered his head so his nostrils pointed at the floor. ”Grandpa, I was wrong! I was truly wrong!” he whimpered.

The assistant just barked, ”Scram!”

Hearing this, the Snooty Man literally lay down on the floor and rolled out of the restaurant.

The onlookers were stunned to see a simple security guard like Zhao Rong carrying two large suitcases full of cash.

A man who had initially looked down on Zhao Rong remarked, ”You really can’t judge a book by its cover. I never would have guessed in a million years that this security guard was a hidden tycoon.”

Another person, who had been convinced Zhao Rong would be humiliated, sighed with emotion. ”That guard must be no ordinary man. He’s probably a bodyguard for some celebrity. How else could he be so rich?”

A middle-aged man, who had thought Zhao Rong was a pauper about to get beaten up, slapped himself across the face. ”That guard must be a retired soldier king! There’s no other way he’d be carrying that much cash!”

Seeing the three rich kids utterly humiliated, Zhao Rong closed his suitcases and led the beautiful women out of King’s Barbecue with a confident stride.

However, just as Zhao Rong stepped out of King’s Barbecue, before he could even hail a cab, three figures holding long knives rushed out from the darkness.

Seeing they were being robbed, the assistant immediately ducked behind Zhao Rong. ”Brother Zhao Rong, you must have attracted these robbers when you showed off those two suitcases of cash!”

Lili immediately grabbed a brick from the ground and stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Zhao Rong. ”It seems flashing your wealth really is dangerous.”

At the same time, Yu Lan, Xuelian, and Wang Meili each picked up a brick, ready to fight alongside Zhao Rong.

When the assistant saw that he, a man, was hiding behind the women while they prepared to protect everyone, he felt a surge of shame. He also grabbed a brick and stood with the group, declaring, ”We may not have been born on the same day, in the same month, of the same year, but we shall die on the same day, in the same month, of the same year!”

Hearing the assistant’s impassioned cry, Zhao Rong just chuckled. ”They’re just a few petty robbers. Are they really so scary?”

Hearing Zhao Rong’s dismissive tone, the three robbers leaped out from the shadows. When the group saw who they were, everyone was stunned.

The three robbers were none other than the three spoiled rich kids from King’s Barbecue: the Snooty Man, the Leopard-Print Man, and the Pop-eyed Man.

The Snooty Man, his nose still pointing to the sky, sneered, ”Little security guard, did you really think we were admitting defeat back there? That was just one of the Thirty-Six Stratagems: the Golden Cicada Shedding Its Shell. It was all a trick to make you lower your guard, to make you think we were just pathetic weaklings. That way, once you came downstairs, we could rob you without a care in the world and take those two suitcases of cash for ourselves.”

The Leopard-Print Man struck a pose. ”Little security guard, don’t think I’m just some rich kid. I’m also a direct descendant of the Leopard Fist! Here in Xijing City, I am the true heir of the Leopard Fist! And now, I’m going to use my Leopard Fist to discipline men and abuse women!”

The Pop-eyed Man glared, his eyes bulging. ”See these long knives in our hands, little guard? We’re about to make them go in white and come out red!”

When Zhao Rong saw that the so-called robbers were the very same three rich kids he had just humiliated, he burst out laughing.

Sigh. I wasn’t planning to kill you, but since you’ve delivered yourselves to my doorstep, I suppose I have no choice but to finish you off.
