Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 193: Chapter 166: Looking Down on Others, Teaching You a Lesson

When the three beauties in the back of the car saw that the lecherous driver wasn’t after them, but Zhao Rong, they were so shocked they nearly fainted. Lili, recovering first, leaned forward from the back seat to tease him. ”Zhao Rong, you’re so lucky! You finally found someone willing to make a man out of you.”

Rubbing the forehead she’d bumped on the seat, Yu Lan said, ”Zhao Rong, I can’t watch this... We’ll just close our eyes. You... let the driver have his way.”

Xuelian, however, observed the driver carefully. ”You know, there should be more drivers like him. It would make taking a car much safer for us girls.”

Outside the car, the driver shoved Zhao Rong against a wall, pressing a knife to him. ”Turn around,” he threatened, ”and point your ass at...” As he spoke, he bound Zhao Rong’s hands behind his back.

Zhao Rong sighed. ”I just got out of a fight. All I want is to get some barbecue at the Royal Barbecue, but you just had to force my hand again.”

By now, the driver had already started undoing his belt. I’ve really hit the jackpot today. What a handsome guy, he thought gleefully.

Before the thought could even finish, Zhao Rong spun around. In a single fluid motion, he not only slipped his bonds but also snatched the knife from the driver’s hand. The move was so blindingly fast that the driver, having just unbuckled his belt, didn’t even realize his knife was gone. He stared at the blade in Zhao Rong’s hand and said, ”What the hell? Kid, how do you have a knife exactly like mine?”

The driver didn’t get to finish his sentence. Zhao Rong swiped the blade across the man’s groin, and a bloodcurdling scream tore through the night.

Zhao Rong tossed the knife aside, climbed into the driver’s seat, and said, ”If I don’t castrate men like him, they’ll just go on to hurt the next handsome young man.”

With that, he started the driver’s car and drove off.

The driver, lying on the ground and clutching a handful of blood from his crotch, watched the car disappear into the distance. ”Brother... did you time travel from the imperial court?” he rasped. ”How is your Sword Technique so sharp? You castrated me cleaner than an official eunuch!” With that, he passed out.

When Zhao Rong pulled up to the Royal Barbecue in the battered taxi, he was immediately met with looks of disdain from the doormen and a few wealthy scions lounging near the entrance.

One particularly fashionable young man sneered, ”Why is some poor security guard coming to our Royal Barbecue? Somebody get this bum out of here.”

Another, draped in designer labels and a thick gold chain, glanced from the beautiful women with Zhao Rong back to his security uniform. He scoffed, ”Hey, security guard. Do you think you belong in a place like this? This isn’t some street stall; this is where the elite of Xijing City come for barbecue.”

Facing the ridicule, Zhao Rong subtly touched the Magic Ring on his finger, where two large cases of cash were stored. ”My apologies,” he said with a placid smile. ”Poor people like us must be a real eyesore at a fancy gathering for the rich.”

Hearing this, the rich kid spat, ”You damn peasant! You broke bastard, get the hell out of here!”

Zhao Rong took the insult without a change in expression. I’ll let you run your mouth for now. We’ll settle this later, he thought. With that, he led his three beautiful companions and his assistant into the Royal Barbecue.

However, once they entered the main hall, the staff at the Royal Barbecue didn’t just ignore their party; they treated them as if they were invisible.

A chubby waiter sized up Zhao Rong and sneered, ”A shabby security guard dares to come to the Royal Barbecue? I bet he can’t even afford the tip.”

A skinny waiter chimed in, even more directly, ”Two guys—one a security guard, the other looking like a janitor—coming to a place like this? What a joke. Let’s not waste our time on them. They definitely can’t afford to tip.”

Another, shorter waiter looked at the group with contempt. ”Those three beauties are dressed well enough, but why are they hanging around a security guard and a janitor? It’s ruining the atmosphere.”

Even if the manager himself came over, I wouldn’t serve them, the short waiter thought smugly. There’s no way they can afford to tip.

Seeing the staff looking down their noses at them, Zhao Rong just smiled. ”Since no one is going to seat us, we’ll just seat ourselves.” With that, he led his companions to an empty VIP table and sat down.

In stark contrast to the scornful staff, an elderly woman who looked like a new hire approached their table with a warm smile. ”Sir,” she asked kindly, ”what would you like to eat?”

Looking at her gentle expression, Zhao Rong replied, ”What’s your signature barbecue here?”

The woman’s face lit up. ”We have the top-grade Kobe beef barbecue, Australian abalone barbecue, Alaskan king crab barbecue, and Greenland lobster barbecue...”
