Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 182: Chapter 156 What Golden Finger, Whose Golden Finger

When Wang Meili saw Zhao Rong using his own body to block the shotgun pellets and poisoned arrows, she immediately burst into tears. ”Brother Zhao Rong, run! If these two bad men kill you, I’ll be a widow!”

When the two hulking men heard Wang Meili, they froze. Then, their eyes widened as they glanced at each other.

”No way... did we just stumble upon someone’s wife? Perfect! We can watch some flicks from the Island Country and then... enjoy this beauty.”

With that, the two men let out a lecherous laugh, revealing rows of yellowed teeth.

Meanwhile, Zhao Rong comforted Wang Meili. ”Meili, don’t be afraid. When have I, Zhao Rong, ever failed? Even if they both attack me at the same time, I’ll still beat them so badly they’ll be scrambling on the ground for their teeth.”

Just then, the man with the shotgun roared, ”Eat this!”

At the exact moment the shotgun fired, the archer released his poisoned arrow.

Faster than anyone could react, Zhao Rong swiftly pulled on a bulletproof vest Miss Lili had given him after a soccer game. It was an extremely sturdy American import, capable of not only stopping bullets but also withstanding RPGs.

As Zhao Rong donned the vest, the shotgun pellets slammed squarely into his chest, right over his heart. The archer’s arrow struck the very same spot. It was clear the two brutes were aiming to kill.

When they saw Zhao Rong take the hits without even trying to dodge, they erupted in triumphant laughter. The shotgun wielder tossed his weapon aside and broke into a tap dance. ”My shotgun’s been modified! Its penetrating power is comparable to a high-caliber rifle’s! Your heart must be shredded by now, little security guard.”

The archer beside him began to do the moonwalk. ”And my arrow is coated in a lethal poison, little security guard,” he added. ”A single scratch is all it takes. You’ll rot from the inside out and die within three days...”

Finished, the two men high-fived, certain that Zhao Rong was a dead man.

But just then, Zhao Rong casually dusted himself off, licked his lips, and turned to Wang Meili. ”Do you have any bottled water? This American-made vest is sweltering. I’m dying of thirst.”

Hearing this from a man they thought was dead, the shotgun wielder and the archer were utterly dumbfounded.

When Wang Meili realized Zhao Rong was wearing a bulletproof vest, she couldn’t help but reach out and touch it. ”Wow, this feels amazing! Is this the same kind of vest the American military wore during the war in Iraq?”

Zhao Rong chuckled. ”This isn’t just the model the US military wore in Iraq. The Navy SEALs who took down Bin Laden wore the exact same model.”

As he spoke, Zhao Rong stripped off his security shirt, revealing the high-grade military vest underneath.

When the shotgun wielder saw his pellets flattened against the vest like eggs against a rock, his face fell. He slumped to the ground in defeat. ”Poverty really does limit one’s imagination... I figured he might have soft body armor, but I never dreamed he’d have a military-grade bulletproof vest! And it’s the same model as the U.S. Navy SEALs’...”

The archer staggered back three steps in fright before collapsing. He slapped himself hard across the face. ”If my bro’s double-barreled shotgun couldn’t get through that vest,” he whimpered, ”my arrows never stood a chance...”

With a shared look of terror, the two brutes scrambled to their feet and fled.

Seeing them run, Zhao Rong calmly picked up two smooth pebbles from the ground. As he took aim, he said to Wang Meili, ”If we let villains like them go, they’ll just keep endangering the public. So, I’ll use these pebbles to teach them a lesson in humility.”

With a flick of his wrist, he sent the two pebbles hurtling toward the sprinting figures.

At that moment, the two men were running for their lives, high on adrenaline.

”Don’t worry, brother!” the shotgun wielder panted to the archer. ”So what if we didn’t get Zhao Rong this time? As long as we get away, we can regroup and come back for him later!”

The archer, catching his breath, replied, ”You’re right, Big Bro! Good thing we were both sprinters back in school. I bet even if Zhao Rong ran himself to death, he couldn’t catch us! We’re definitely getting away clean today!”

The two men glanced at each other and shared a relieved snicker.

But before the laughter died in their throats, a pebble flew out of the darkness and struck the shotgun wielder directly in the spine.

As a level 22 cultivator, Zhao Rong’s strength was immense. Even a casual toss carried devastating force.

CRACK!

With the sickening sound of breaking bone, the man collapsed, screaming in agony.

Seeing his partner taken down by a pebble that seemed to fall from the sky, the archer felt a wave of selfish relief. ”Big Bro, you just wait there! I’ll go get an ambulance for you! Thank the heavens that pebble hit you and not me...”

As the archer continued his desperate flight, banking on his luck, the second pebble whistled through the air and slammed into his neck.

CRACK!

The stone shattered his cervical spine. He dropped to the ground, paralyzed from the neck down and losing control of his bladder and bowels.

As the shotgun wielder lay moaning about his terrible luck, now paralyzed from the waist down, the archer’s shrieks were even more pitiable.

”I’d rather have my spine broken! At least my hands would still work! But my neck... I’m paralyzed from the neck down! How am I supposed to... get with any beauties now?!”

The shotgun wielder, hearing this, felt a strange sense of fortune. ”Well, my lower half is useless, but at least my hands still work... I can still handle the ’woman on top’ position...”

Just then, Zhao Rong and Wang Meili walked over.

When Wang Meili saw that Zhao Rong’s idea of a ”small lesson” was breaking their spines, she gasped. Then, she gave him a thumbs-up. ”Brother Zhao Rong, a true man must be ruthless. You have to be merciless, precise, and brutal.”

Hearing her words, Zhao Rong looked down at the two men he’d crippled and said with a guilty expression, ”I only meant to knock a few of your teeth out. I honestly didn’t expect to leave you both paralyzed... Ah, well. Don’t blame me. If you have to blame something, blame these two pebbles for being so damn effective.”

With that, he put his arm around Wang Meili, and they started walking toward the nearby women’s dormitory.

Wiping a bead of sweat from her neck, Wang Meili looked at Zhao Rong. ”Brother Zhao Rong, do you know how to fix water heaters?”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong’s imagination immediately took flight. If I fix the water heater for Wang Meili, she’ll want to take a shower... but when she’s showering, she won’t be able to scrub her own back. Could she actually ask me, Zhao Rong, to come in and scrub it for her?

As he was lost in his fantasy, Wang Meili suddenly scratched an itchy spot on her back. ”I’m the only one living in my dorm room right now. Every time I shower, I can never reach my back, and it gets so itchy.”

Zhao Rong blinked, then looked at her. ”That’s an easy fix! You should have just asked me! I can scrub your back for you. Afterward, I can even give you a salt, sulfur, or milk scrub...”

Wang Meili looked at him, surprised. ”Brother Zhao Rong, did you used to work as a scrubber in a bathhouse?”

”Not just any bathhouse,” Zhao Rong said proudly. ”I’ve worked as a scrubber in all sorts of high-class spas and clubs. Miss Meili, would you care to experience my technique?”

Feeling an itch just thinking about it, Wang Meili asked, ”Wait, is back-scrubbing a special skill?”

Feeling his chances improve, Zhao Rong grinned. ”Absolutely. A skilled scrubber like me can get rid of more than just the dirt on your skin. I can scrub until...”

Hearing Zhao Rong’s suggestive trailing-off, Wang Meili was no longer calm. She pointed to a disc from the Island Country lying on the ground nearby. ”Brother Zhao Rong, are your skills as good as that man on the cover... the ’Golden Finger’?”

Puzzled, Zhao Rong asked, ”What Golden Finger? Whose Golden Finger?”

Wang Meili walked over to the disc case and pointed to the man on the cover, who had long, dyed-red hair, glasses, and was holding up two fingers. ”This guy... he’s the legendary ’Golden Finger’ who can bring countless women to... ecstasy. You can’t possibly be better than him, can you?”

Seeing the image of Kato Taka, Zhao Rong nearly jumped out of his skin. He never imagined that a top student like Wang Meili would recognize a star from the Island Country.

”You even know stars like this? That’s incredible,” he said, half-joking.

Wang Meili smiled. ”Oh, besides him, I also know Chocolate Ball, Nan Jiamou, Shimizu Ken, Todano Natsuya, and Saito Kazuya...”

Hearing her rattle off a list of male leads from those films, Zhao Rong was aghast. ”Wang Meili! Wait, you girls watch these kinds of movies in your dorm too?”
