Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 195: Chapter 167: You Have a Katana, I Have a Kitchen Knife

As the short waiter walked toward the poodle, Lili turned to Zhao Rong, worried about the dog. ”Zhao Rong, how can you play a joke on that cute poodle? What if that deranged waiter actually goes crazy and eats it?”

The assistant, more concerned about Zhao Rong’s money, added, ”Zhao Rong, for a 10,000-pound tip, I bet that madman will definitely eat that poodle. As for whether he braises it, stews it, or roasts it, who’s to say?”

While everyone was worrying, Zhao Rong just smiled. ”Don’t worry,” he said. ”Just wait for the show to start.”

By then, the short waiter had already decided how he would eat the poodle. He approached the dog, holding a large woven plastic sack. Sorry, little dog, I don’t actually eat dog meat, but for a 10,000-pound tip, I’m willing to make an exception.

Once he was close enough, he seized the poodle’s muzzle and swiftly stuffed it into the sack. After securing the dog, he glanced back at Zhao Rong with a triumphant look. Just you wait, little security guard. I’m taking this poodle to the kitchen to skin it, pull its tendons, drain its blood, and then roast it. I’ve been working all day and haven’t even eaten yet. This dog will make a perfect dinner.

The waiter was still snickering to himself when a beautifully dressed, fashionable woman suddenly screamed. Looking at the waiter, she turned to the man beside her and cried, ”Honey, someone stole my puppy!”

Hearing this, the short waiter looked at her and offered a foolish grin. ”Miss, could you sell this poodle to me so I can eat it? I’ll give you five thousand pounds.”

The woman was horrified to hear that he wanted to eat her pet. She slapped him hard across the face. ”You beast! You’re utterly depraved! You’re worse than an animal!”

Just then, the woman’s husband stood up. A brawny man rose from the table, easily 1.8 meters tall and weighing 180 kilograms. He shot out a hand, grabbing the short waiter by the neck. ”Damn it! You could have eaten any dog, but you had to take my woman’s? Do you think the Yamaguchi-gumi are easy to bully?”

Hearing the name ”Yamaguchi-gumi,” the short waiter was so terrified he wet himself. He quickly let go of the sack and began to grovel. ”Sir, I was blind! I didn’t realize I was offending a member of the Yamaguchi-gumi! Please, spare me, sir! I was wrong...” As he spoke, he started slapping his own face in apology.

When the women with Zhao Rong saw that the waiter had provoked the yakuza, they couldn’t help but laugh.

Lili breathed a sigh of relief. ”It’s a good thing her husband is with the Yamaguchi-gumi. Otherwise, that horrible waiter would have definitely eaten that poor poodle.”

The assistant asked Zhao Rong curiously, ”Zhao Rong, how did you know the man sitting with that woman was from the Yamaguchi-gumi?”

Zhao Rong smiled and pointed to the brawny man’s left hand. ”Didn’t you see his right little finger? It’s only half there.”

The assistant understood immediately. ”Members of the Yamaguchi-gumi cut off their right little finger as a mark of their affiliation.” He gave Zhao Rong a thumbs-up. ”Zhao Rong, I’m truly in awe of your Eyes of Golden Flame.”

Nearby, Yu Lan, who had started on her Kobe beef, glanced at the pitiful waiter. ”Running into the Yamaguchi-gumi... this guy is definitely done for.”

Wang Meili, enjoying her Australian abalone, added, ”It looks like he’s about to lose an arm.”

In a moment of desperate inspiration, the short waiter threw the poodle to the ground, turned, and bolted. Seeing the thief flee, the woman shrieked, ”Honey, get him! Cut off one of his arms! Only that will satisfy my anger!”

Hearing her, the brawny Yamaguchi-gumi man drew a katana from his waist and gave chase.

Zhao Rong, still seated and enjoying his Alaskan king crab, watched the waiter dash into the kitchen. ”Oh boy,” he remarked. ”A kitchen cleaver versus a katana. This battle is about to start.”

Just as he said it, the waiter charged back out of the kitchen, brandishing a cleaver for self-defense.

When the brawny man saw this, he roared with laughter. ”You Chinese dog! You think that cleaver can stand up to my katana? You’re as good as dead!”

Zhao Rong was stunned to hear the man speaking Japanese. He set down his crab. ”No, I have to help that waiter. After all, we Chinese can’t lose to someone from the Island Country.”

Hearing this, Lili pouted. ”Zhao Rong, just let the big guy finish him off. He’s a horrible person who abuses animals.”

Seeing Lili siding with the yakuza, the assistant chimed in to support the waiter. ”No matter what, the waiter is still one of us Chinese. We should help him.”

Zhao Rong nodded. ”Alright, let’s help him for now. We can deal with him ourselves later.” With that, Zhao Rong prepared to use his Special Abilities to secretly aid the waiter.

At that moment, the brawny yakuza roared and swung his katana at the waiter. ”Chinese dog! Watch my katana cut you down!”

Faced with a blade over a meter long, the short waiter began to tremble, clutching his own 20-centimeter cleaver. It’s over. I’m going to die today.

The yakuza grinned. ”Die, Chinese dog!” He brought the katana down in a powerful slash.

Suddenly, Zhao Rong used his Special Ability: Instant Teleportation. He appeared between them in a flash, snatched the katana from the yakuza’s grasp, and placed it in the waiter’s hand. Then, he took the cleaver from the waiter and put it in the yakuza’s hand.

The tables were instantly turned. The waiter, who had been retreating in terror, was now on the offensive. He swung the katana wildly at the stunned yakuza, who now held only a small cleaver. ”Holy crap! A longer blade really is better! I used to think that whoever had better Martial Arts would win. But now I finally get it: whoever has the longer blade wins!”

The brawny Yamaguchi-gumi man, now being forced back, sputtered in disbelief, ”What the hell?! How did my katana suddenly turn into a cleaver?”

Not far away, his wife watched, aghast, as her husband was pushed back by a mere waiter. She erupted in a furious tirade. ”You useless oaf! How can you not even beat a waiter? What a pathetic disgrace!”

Hearing his wife’s insults, the yakuza roared, ”Chinese dog, do you think you can beat me just because you have my katana?” He reached into his pocket, pulled out several shuriken, and flung them at the waiter. ”Die!”

The waiter, who had been thoroughly enjoying hacking away with the long sword, froze when he saw the throwing stars flying toward him. Damn it! I’ve never learned how to dodge a shuriken in my life! Especially not one of these star-shaped ones from the Island Country! How am I supposed to dodge this? Looks like this is really the end.

Meanwhile, the yakuza watched his shuriken home in on their target, thinking gleefully, That’s what you get for trying to steal my wife Chuandao Fangzi’s poodle, you Chinese dog. Now you die!

But in the blink of an eye, Zhao Rong used his Instant Teleportation again. He zipped into the kitchen, grabbed a heavy wooden chopping board, and teleported back to place it directly in the waiter’s hands.

The waiter, who had braced himself for death, was shocked to find a solid chopping board suddenly in his grasp. He instinctively raised it as a shield. ”Heaven is on my side!” he yelled with delight.

The yakuza stared in disbelief as all his shuriken thudded harmlessly into the wooden board. He cursed, ”You son of a bitch! Where the hell did you get a chopping board that can block all my shuriken?”

Before he could finish his sentence, the waiter hurled the chopping board at him with all his might. Caught completely off guard, the brawny man was knocked flat on his back, spitting up blood.

When the yakuza’s wife, Chuandao Fangzi, saw her husband—a master of the Yamaguchi-gumi—felled by a small, unassuming waiter, she exploded with rage. ”You imbecile!” she shrieked at her husband. ”How could you lose to a single Chinese man?!”

Leaping from her seat, Chuandao Fangzi pulled a ninja sword from her clothes. ”Chinese dog! Let me show you the power of a female ninja’s blade!” She charged, slashing at the short waiter.

Seeing this new threat, Zhao Rong instantly teleported to the kitchen again, emerging with a frying pan and a shaker of pepper, which he tossed into the waiter’s hands...
