Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 179: Chapter 153: Agree to Him..., Be Together...

The shorty was killed instantly, while the big-earringed woman was blackened by the blast. At that exact moment, just as the whistle blew, Zhao Rong kicked the ball, sending the final shot into Class 2-2’s goal.

The area erupted in thunderous applause as the surrounding fans began to celebrate. ”This is a truly historic moment! The unbeatable, invincible Class 2-2 women’s soccer team has finally been defeated by a newcomer team. It seems a new era is dawning at Xijing University!”

One crazed fan even unfurled a banner that read: ”Class 2-2 are cowards, Class 1-1 are heroes.”

Zhao Rong was surrounded and hoisted up by the Class 1-1 fans. Even the coaching staff from the sidelines rushed onto the field to congratulate Class 1-1 on their victory and praise Zhao Rong’s heroic performance. At that moment, he was being treated like a true hero.

As the crowd carried Zhao Rong off the field, the big-earringed woman, barely clinging to life, stared at him and muttered, ”My god, that little beauty isn’t just an amazing soccer player; she seems to have divine powers. No matter what I tried, I couldn’t kill her. Instead, I was the one who got killed by her.” In the instant before she passed out, she was convinced that Zhao Rong must have discovered the detonator and thrown it back at them.

In reality, Zhao Rong hadn’t even noticed the detonator. He had simply sat on a ball cart by pure coincidence and accidentally kicked it back. It was a completely unintentional act on his part.

In the locker room, Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian clung to Zhao Rong, refusing to let go. Lili hugged him especially tightly, her eyes filled with adoration. ”Zhao Rong, you truly are our god,” she said. ”You’re not only our bodyguard but also our ultimate trump card...”

Yu Lan hugged Zhao Rong, wishing she could hold onto him forever. Looking at him, she said, ”Zhao Rong, you’re an incredible soccer player, on the level of a legend.”

Xuelian, so smitten with Zhao Rong she could hardly stand it, said, ”Zhao Rong, I wish I could stay in your dorm tonight.”

Just as the three women were clinging to him, the other players came over. They eagerly took photos with Zhao Rong and even asked for his autograph. Before long, the coaching staff also walked in, showering Zhao Rong with praise.

A bald coach gushed, ”Little beauty, your skills on the field are simply out of this world.”

A potbellied coach added his admiration, ”Beauty, your style of play reminds me of the soccer star Cantona.”

Hearing the coaches call him ’little beauty’ and ’beauty’ made Zhao Rong feel extremely awkward. He desperately wanted to tell them that he was a man, not some pretty girl.

However, just as he was about to reveal his true identity, an exceptionally ugly coach walked in, carrying a large bouquet of roses. The man looked at Zhao Rong, dropped to one knee, and spoke in a tender, romantic voice. ”Little beauty, even though I’m your coach, your performance on the field completely captivated me. I have fallen deeply for you. I’m proposing to you now. Will you marry me?”

As he spoke, the coach held out a ring along with the flowers. Zhao Rong was utterly stunned.

He took a sharp breath. No way. I’m a real man; I can’t keep pretending to be a woman. If this goes on, things will get serious.

With that thought, Zhao Rong immediately switched to his deep, masculine voice and said to the coach, ”Coach, I’m sorry, I forgot to tell you. I’m a man disguised as a woman, playing as a hired gun for the team. I’m not actually a woman; I’m a man.”

When the ugly coach heard such a coarse voice come from the beautiful girl before him, he was so shocked he fell backward onto the floor with a thump. Staring at Zhao Rong, he thought, Whatever. Even if this beauty’s voice is coarse, she’s still gorgeous. I can overlook an unpleasant voice.

And so, the ugly coach continued his proposal. ”Beautiful girl, I know you women are proud and very picky about men. But let me tell you, even though I’m just a regular coach, my situation is quite good. My parents bought me a house in the city—a large, 120-square-meter apartment with three bedrooms and a living room. And I’m planning to buy a car. Plus, I don’t smoke or drink. I’m absolutely a good family man...”

At this, the people around them started cheering and chanting, ”Say yes! Say yes! Get together! Get together!”

Seeing the crowd cheer him on gave the ugly coach a renewed sense of confidence. He remained on one knee and continued his confession. ”Little beauty, I know I’ve only talked about my good points. The truth is, I also have a big flaw. My flaw is... well, my libido is too strong. If we got married, I’d need it at least eight times a day...”

Before the coach could finish, Zhao Rong finally snapped. He turned to Lili, who was standing nearby. ”Lili, give me the makeup remover, now! I’m washing this makeup off and getting rid of this ugly fool!”

Lili laughed, pulled a bottle from her bag, and handed it to him. ”Zhao Rong, this is that super-strong makeup remover, the same one we used on Hu Jie and her two friends.”

Zhao Rong happily took the bottle and began splashing the remover on his face while yelling at the coach, ”Look carefully! I’m a man, not a woman, so stop proposing to me!”

With that, he wiped all the makeup from his face. Once it was clean, his true features were revealed.

The crowd gasped. The fans who had believed Zhao Rong was a woman cried out in surprise.

One female fan became instantly infatuated. ”No way! I always thought this genius player was a beautiful woman, but I never imagined he was actually a guy in disguise playing for the Class 1-1 team. Handsome, when you were a woman, I admired you. Now that you’re a man, I’m totally in love with you! Zhao Rong, please accept my blown kiss...!” As she said this, the fan rushed forward and planted a real one on his cheek.

Another woman in the crowd, one who didn’t usually watch soccer but loved to be where the action was, saw that the beauty who had been dominating the field was actually a handsome young man. After a bad breakup, she had given up on love, but now, she suddenly felt the stirrings of romance once more. She pulled a pen from her pocket, rushed over to Zhao Rong, scribbled her phone number on his hand, and then ran off, blushing.

Zhao Rong was dumbfounded to be kissed by one woman and given a phone number by another. He had assumed that revealing his identity would make him lose fans and become a laughingstock. He never expected that not only would he not lose fans, but people would seem to like him even more. This was an outcome he had not anticipated at all.

He turned his attention back to the ugly coach, who was still kneeling on the floor. ”Coach, I told you I’m a man. You didn’t believe me then. Surely you believe me now.”

Seeing the gorgeous girl suddenly transform into a handsome young man, the kneeling coach rubbed his eyes in disbelief. ”Beauty, I know you’re just trying to reject me. You just made yourself look like a man to scare me off, right?”

With that, the ugly coach continued to profess his love.

When Zhao Rong saw that the coach was still proposing even after he had revealed his true self, he thought, Enough is enough. There’s no need to endure this any longer...
