Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 172: Chapter 146: Cooperate with the Police to Take Down the Gambling Syndicate

After Zhao Rong broke seven of the Gambling God’s ribs, the man collapsed to the ground, writhing in agony and unable to get up.

At that moment, Zhao Rong emerged from behind his assistant, dusted off his clothes, and said, ”Idiot, didn’t you hear me? My technique is called the Mountain-Piercing Bull Fist.”

Upon hearing this, the Gambling God understood. ”So, your Mountain-Piercing Bull Fist requires passing through a person to unleash its power? It seems I, the Gambling God, have truly underestimated you.”

With that, the Gambling God fainted.

Because Zhao Rong and the Gambling God’s Instant Teleportation were both extremely fast, no one in the crowd had seen their fight. When Zhao Rong reappeared in the parlor, the onlookers were still bewildered, eagerly anticipating the moment the Gambling God and Zhao Rong would lift their bowls to see who had won.

Suddenly, everyone saw the Gambling God, who had been poised to reveal the dice, lying facedown on the ground, completely passed out. The crowd clamored for Zhao Rong to reveal the result.

So, Zhao Rong rose from his stool and, in front of everyone, lifted the bowl. When the surrounding crowd saw that the dice showed the small number Zhao Rong had bet on, they erupted in gasps of astonishment.

”The kid in the mask won! He won 5,000,000 in cash!”

”The Gambling God, who reigned over this mahjong parlor undefeated for ten years, has fallen just like that...”

”Masked kid, welcome! You are the new Gambling God of our parlor!”

Just as everyone was reeling from the Gambling God’s defeat and celebrating Zhao Rong’s victory, several of the Gambling God’s lackeys moved forward. While helping up their boss, who was still unable to rise from his broken ribs, they pulled daggers from their waists and threatened Zhao Rong.

”You masked fool, how dare you beat up our boss? You must have a death wish.”

”Kid, don’t think you can walk out of this mahjong parlor just because you beat our boss. Let me tell you, no man who has beaten our Gambling God has ever left this place alive.”

With that, the burly men closed in on Zhao Rong, brandishing their knives. Clearly, they intended to kill him and seize the 50,000,000 in cash from his large suitcase.

Watching the group of armed men approach, Zhao Rong smiled faintly. ”As a level 22 cultivator, crippling a few thugs like you is more than easy.”

With that, Zhao Rong sprang into action. A swift side kick from his left leg knocked one man unconscious. A front kick from his right leg crippled a large, heavyset man. A hook with his left fist dislocated another’s jaw, while a swing from his right hand blinded a thug in one eye. Just like that, Zhao Rong effortlessly took down all the encircling men in a matter of seconds.

Seeing how skilled Zhao Rong was, the crowd broke into applause.

A particularly fashionable woman, widely considered the most beautiful in the mahjong parlor, stepped forward. She looked at Zhao Rong adoringly and said, ”Young man, you’re amazing! Your moves were completely mesmerizing. You should come visit the hair salon where I work when you’re free...”

Another woman, dressed provocatively and wearing heavy makeup, who was also an avid gambler, looked at Zhao Rong and said, ”Wow, a man as agile as you... if you ever visit our bathhouse, your first time is on the house!”

After taking down the thugs, Zhao Rong walked to the entrance, blocking the main door of the mahjong parlor. He turned to his assistant and said, ”Assistant, call the police right now. I’m handing over this mahjong parlor, these gamblers, and all the gambling money to the authorities.”

Upon hearing that Zhao Rong was calling the police, the previously buzzing parlor fell deathly silent.

Then, several of the regular gamblers leaped to their feet, pointing at Zhao Rong and shouting, ”Kid, if you dare call the cops on us, you won’t live to see another day!”

Facing the belligerent gamblers, Zhao Rong stood his ground, his presence overwhelming. ”If you do the crime, you do the time. I’m sending you lawbreakers straight to prison, right now.”

As he spoke, his assistant dialed the police.

Seeing that Zhao Rong was determined to call the police and wouldn’t let anyone leave, several gamblers grabbed steel pipes and charged at him, hoping to beat him down and force their way out.

Facing the oncoming mob, Zhao Rong said nothing. He leaped into the air and unleashed a flurry of ten consecutive spinning kicks, sending every single one of the charging gamblers sprawling to the ground. His graceful movements, nimble posture, and swift, decisive attacks left every gambler in the room utterly intimidated.

Soon, the wail of sirens cut through the air.

As the police arrived, the Gambling God was slowly regaining consciousness on the floor. He sneered at Zhao Rong, ”Kid, as soon as the police come in, they won’t just confiscate my money—they’ll confiscate yours too...”

I have five million, and he has fifty million, the Gambling God thought. Zhao Rong obviously stands to lose much more than me.

However, what the Gambling God hadn’t anticipated was Zhao Rong striding over to the large suitcase of cash. He calmly activated his Magic Ring, and in an instant, all the money vanished inside it. He had taken his winnings without anyone noticing.

When the Gambling God saw the massive case of 50,000,000 in cash disappear into a tiny ring on Zhao Rong’s finger, he was utterly dumbfounded.

In the end, with Zhao Rong’s cooperation, the police successfully busted the gambling den hidden in the urban village. They arrested the key operators and participants and seized a large amount of gambling equipment and money on-site.

For his meritorious service, Zhao Rong was not only awarded the title of ”Righteous and Courageous Citizen” but was also given a cash reward of 10,000 from the police.

After leaving the area, Zhao Rong immediately handed the 10,000 in cash to his assistant. ”Assistant, you’ve been with me for a while now, and I’ve never paid you a salary. Take this ten thousand and spend it as you like.”

Seeing that Zhao Rong had actually given him a 10,000 wage, the assistant was moved to tears. ”Boss Zhao Rong, you’re too good to me! You’re a true godsend!”

After speaking, the assistant tucked the cash into his pocket and began to ponder how he would spend it. His eyes naturally drifted toward a hair salon on the street corner. But when he saw that the women standing out front weren’t particularly attractive, he turned his gaze toward a bath center not far away. However, when he noticed that the women at the bath center lacked a certain class, his gaze shifted once more to a nearby club.

When he saw the girls standing at the club’s entrance—not only wearing stockings but also adorned with fluffy tails and bunny ears, in full bunny-girl outfits—the assistant was instantly captivated.

No wonder rich people all go to clubs, he thought to himself. It really is a different kind of enjoyment, a different level of service, a completely different visual thrill...

With that thought, while Zhao Rong wasn’t looking, the assistant clutched the 10,000 in cash and slipped into a top-tier club nearby...
