Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 166: Chapter 140 Supreme All-Around Bodyguard

As Zhao Rong untied the red cloth from the ghost Chen Na, he said, ”Alright, Chen Na, I’ll let you off this time. Hurry up and get reincarnated.”

Upon hearing this, the ghost Chen Na thought happily to herself, Zhao Rong, you really are a kind soul to actually believe my words...

With that thought, Chen Na prepared to escape and continue to plague the school. However, before she could finish her thought, the Taoist summoned by the principal suddenly leaped into the classroom. He sucked Chen Na inside his ghost-catching bottle, sealed it shut, and laughed.

”Vile ghost, you’ve finally entered my bottle! In forty-nine days, you’ll decompose into pus and never be reborn...”

Before Chen Na could even react, she was trapped inside the ghost-catching bottle. Unable to live or die, she howled in agony, ”Zhao Rong, you really are clever! You knew I would continue to bring disaster to this world, so you trapped me in this ghost-catching bottle...”

With those words, Chen Na slowly lost consciousness. As she faded away, she thought, Zhao Rong, you’re such a poser! You promised you’d let me go, let me reincarnate... but you were just waiting for me to lower my guard so you could trap me in this bottle and make sure I’d never be reborn...

At that moment, the principal walked in. He patted Zhao Rong’s shoulder gratefully. ”Young security guard, thank you so much. If it weren’t for you, we never would have caught this ghost. She has plagued the school for a long time, and we were completely powerless against her.”

After the principal thanked him, the Taoist added his own praise. ”Security guard, I, a Taoist from Mount Mao, must also thank you. To be honest, even though I’m a badass ghost catcher, I didn’t have the power to defeat this deeply resentful ghost and capture her. If you hadn’t defeated her today and covered her with the red cloth to immobilize her, even I would have been helpless...”

Having said his piece, the Taoist from Mount Mao knelt and kowtowed to Zhao Rong as a sign of his immense gratitude. As he did so, the principal also gave Zhao Rong a deep, reverent bow.

Seeing the Taoist kowtow and the principal bow, Zhao Rong felt flustered. ”Please, both of you, don’t be so formal. I really don’t know anything about catching ghosts. I’m certainly no expert...”

Seeing Zhao Rong’s incredible humility, the ghost catcher from Mount Mao immediately pulled a gold ingot from his sleeve and presented it to him. ”Young man, don’t be so modest. With your strength, you must be a ghost catcher of at least Level 100. Please, accept this gold ingot as a token of our friendship.”

Seeing the gold ingot, Zhao Rong said sheepishly, ”Master, you’re being far too generous...”

Though Zhao Rong tried to refuse, the Taoist insisted, placing the ingot in his pocket. ”Young man, do not be modest. This gold ingot from Mount Mao isn’t just a piece of gold. It’s an excellent ingredient for alchemy...”

Hearing that the ingot could be used for alchemy, Zhao Rong, who hadn’t practiced alchemy or leveled up in a long time, had a thought. In that case, I’ll graciously accept this Mount Mao gold ingot. I can use it for alchemy later.

Just then, the principal produced a shareholding contract. Looking at Zhao Rong, he said, ”Security guard, I am a man of my word. I said that if you could capture the ghost tormenting our school, I would give you shares. Now, I hereby gift you ten percent of the school’s shares. Please, accept them.”

Seeing the share certificates in the principal’s hand, Zhao Rong gasped. I already have shares in the corporation owned by Miss Lili’s father. Now I’ll have shares in Xijing City’s top school, Xijing University, as well. Does that mean I’m a shareholder in two different conglomerates?

After a moment’s thought, Zhao Rong shook his head, then accepted the shares from the principal.

Just as Zhao Rong stood there with a gold ingot in his left hand and share certificates in his right, his assistant scrambled up from the floor. ”Principal,” he said groggily, ”I contributed to catching that ghost too, didn’t I?”

The principal turned to the assistant with a look of pure astonishment. ”When I came in, I clearly saw you passed out on the floor. You weren’t helping Zhao Rong at all. How can you claim any of the credit?”

The assistant complained aggrievedly, ”Principal, you don’t understand! Earlier, Zhao Rong told the young women he was about to unleash a big move and that we should all leave. I chose to stay behind. But I never would have imagined that he’d somehow procured a skunk! While its stench knocked out the ghost, it knocked me out too!”

Hearing this, a cold sweat broke out on Zhao Rong’s forehead. Thank goodness I had the girls leave earlier. If they found out that a heroic young man like me has farts that foul, my carefully cultivated image of being both handsome and intelligent would be completely shattered in their eyes.

At that moment, the young women who had left the classroom rushed back in. When they saw that Zhao Rong had successfully captured the ghost and received both a gold ingot from Mount Mao and shares in the school, their respect for him soared.

Miss Lili gazed at him with admiration. ”Brother Zhao Rong, you’re such a charismatic man. I could just die for you!”

Yu Lan looked at Zhao Rong, unsure how to express her delight. ”Brother Zhao Rong, you’re not just powerful, your ability to make money is absolutely top-notch!”

Xuelian glanced from the spot where the ghost had vanished to Zhao Rong’s impressive haul and gave him a big thumbs-up. ”Brother Zhao Rong, you really are the ultimate, all-around security guard! I think you’re the strongest, most handsome, and most awesome man in the world.”

Besides the three of them, even Wang Meili was completely won over by Zhao Rong. She immediately tossed her schoolbag aside, rushed into his arms, and said coquettishly, ”Brother Zhao Rong, you’re so strong! If I, Wang Meili, ever run into a problem I can’t handle, I’ll definitely come find you myself.”

After leaving the lab building classroom, Zhao Rong treated the young women to barbecue at a stall near the school gate.

While eating a grilled chicken wing and drinking a Tsingtao beer, Miss Lili asked, ”Brother Zhao Rong, can you tell me where you learned your ghost-catching skills? I want to learn too, so I’ll never have to be afraid of ghosts again.”

Zhao Rong, chewing on a grilled sausage and sipping a Harbin beer, replied, ”Actually, catching ghosts is very easy to learn. All you have to do is eat a bunch of garlic, honey peaches, and garlic chives together beforehand. Then you’ll be all set.”

Hearing this, Yu Lan, who was eating lobster and drinking a Budweiser, looked surprised. ”Brother Zhao Rong, if you eat garlic, honey peaches, and garlic chives all together, wouldn’t you get terrible bad breath and have to fart constantly?”

Zhao Rong burst out laughing. ”Exactly! Once you’ve eaten all that, you just wait for a ghost to rush you. Then all you have to do is spit and fart in its face, and you’re done!”

Listening to this explanation, Xuelian, who was eating grilled eggplant and drinking a Hans Dry Beer, said, ”Brother Zhao Rong, you’re always joking. I know you must have studied the art of ghost-catching at Mount Mao, Sanyi, or Quanzhen. Otherwise, you could never have captured that powerful ghost.”

At this point, the assistant piped up. Munching on a roast lamb leg and drinking a Wahaha AD calcium milk, he said, ”I’ll tell you how Zhao Rong catches ghosts. He just grabbed a skunk from outside and let it fart the ghost to death. That’s it.”

Hearing the assistant’s words, the young women berated him. ”Idiot! If catching ghosts was that simple, the Taoist from Mount Mao wouldn’t have failed and asked Brother Zhao Rong for help!”

Yu Lan cursed him directly. ”You damn fool, your brain is as simple as a one-year-old’s! If one skunk’s fart could take out a powerful ghost, there wouldn’t be a need for ghost catchers in this world.”

Wang Meili also glared at the assistant. ”Assistant, you must be jealous of Brother Zhao Rong’s skills, so you’re spreading rumors to slander him.”

The assistant protested, feeling wronged, ”But when you all left and I was alone in the classroom, I definitely smelled something indescribably foul...”

He fell silent, thinking to himself with great confusion, That horrible smell... if it wasn’t a skunk, it couldn’t have been Zhao Rong’s fart, could it?

As the group was enjoying their barbecue, drinking beer, and chatting happily, a man with shifty eyes suddenly approached from a short distance away. He held a cup of beer and spoke with a mocking tone. ”Anyone can catch a ghost. You really think this little security guard knows how? I’m telling you, I, Brother Piao, am the real ultimate ghost-catcher at Xijing University.”

Seeing the man with the shifty eyes, Miss Lili quickly whispered to Zhao Rong, ”Brother Zhao Rong, that guy’s nickname is Brother Piao. He’s the biggest poser in the whole school...”

Yu Lan, looking at him with disdain, added, ”Brother Zhao Rong, Brother Piao loves boasting that he knows everything and is the best at everything, as if there’s nothing in the world he can’t do.”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong immediately sized him up. ”So, you’re saying this guy is a professional poser?”

The young women all nodded. ”Brother Zhao Rong, your judgment is spot on.”

Zhao Rong glanced at the man and thought, I, Zhao Rong, have been alive for twenty years. If I can’t see through a poser at a glance, what kind of man am I?

Just then, Brother Piao turned his gaze on Zhao Rong. ”Little security guard, I really don’t get what a guy like you has that lets you treat such gorgeous women to barbecue.” He then turned to the women. ”Hey, ladies. Honestly, stunning women like you should be eating barbecue with me, Brother Piao. That would be more fitting for your status, don’t you think?”

After speaking, he smirked lewdly.

Seeing his shamelessness, Miss Lili scoffed at him. ”You want to eat with us? Fine. You just have to beat Brother Zhao Rong.”

At this, Brother Piao’s energy surged. He cracked his knuckles and said, ”This little security guard? He’s scrawny and short, a total pushover. If I, Brother Piao, can’t beat him, I’ll eat that pile of dog shit over there right now.”

Zhao Rong couldn’t help but laugh out loud. He looked at Brother Piao and said, ”Poser, I’d advise you not to try and show off. There are a lot of people here. If you lose, you’ll have to eat dog shit in front of everyone...”

Brother Piao slammed his palm on the table. ”Little security guard, don’t you dare look down on me! I, Brother Piao, am a trained martial artist, you know! I’ll have you know, I started martial arts at three, learned internal styles at five, practiced external martial arts at ten, was the school’s top long-distance runner at fifteen, and became the national Sanda champion at twenty!”

Listening to Brother Piao’s incredible boasts, Zhao Rong slowly stood up. ”Alright. If you’re that incredible, let’s have a go.”
