Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 75: Chapter 67: Is it too fast?

Although no one wanted the so-called show-off, Liu Tianxiong, and his distant relative, Medusa, to move into Zhao Rong’s villa, the Assistant’s insistent pulling and single-minded stubbornness meant that Medusa somehow ended up staying there by a strange twist of fate.

Seeing Medusa move into the villa, Liu Tianxiong stood at the door and thought happily, As long as Medusa lives in Zhao Rong’s villa and infiltrates his social circle, the day she takes care of Zhao Rong won’t be far off. Although Zhao Rong’s rhinitis flare-up allowed him to escape the assault of Medusa’s fragrance, she still has plenty of tricks up her sleeve to unleash one by one. As long as Zhao Rong is a man with desires, he can’t possibly escape her clutches.

Standing at the doorway, Liu Tianxiong bid his farewell. ”Brother Zhao Rong, and all you beautiful ladies, since the Assistant has agreed on everyone’s behalf for my cousin Medusa to stay, then I, Liu Tianxiong, thank you all on her behalf.”

With that, Liu Tianxiong took his leave.

Seeing the Assistant take Medusa’s hand and lead her directly toward his room, Zhao Rong looked at him in surprise and offered a reminder. ”Assistant, I know you’re not married, and neither is Medusa, but shouldn’t you two be a little more mindful of appearances? Heading to a room together on your first meeting... isn’t that a bit too fast?”

It was obvious to Zhao Rong that the Assistant must have fallen for Medusa at first sight. He couldn’t help but think to himself, Since the Assistant is so impatient, why don’t I play matchmaker? I could set the Assistant and Medusa up, let them tie the knot, and start a family soon.

Thinking this, Zhao Rong snickered to himself.

Seeing his secret smile, Lili stepped forward and gave him a light push. ”Brother Zhao Rong, don’t tell me you’re just like the Assistant, prioritizing lust over friendship. You haven’t fallen for Medusa too, have you?”

Yu Lan came over and tugged on his arm. ”Brother Zhao Rong, why are you smiling like that? Are you just that happy that another beautiful woman has moved into our villa?”

Xuelian deliberately bumped into him. ”Brother Zhao Rong, from now on, you are absolutely forbidden from contacting Medusa privately without permission from the three of us.”

Tao Hua also chimed in with a warning. ”Hero Zhao Rong, even though this woman is very pretty and her style of dress is quite bold... I can’t shake the feeling that her intentions are malicious. It seems like she’s hiding some unspeakable secret deep down.”

Listening to the four women, Zhao Rong secretly shared his idea. ”Hey, ladies, what do you think about setting up the Assistant and Medusa?”

Hearing this, Yu Lan was the first to jump in, raising both hands in agreement. ”I can’t stand the Assistant, and I can’t stand Medusa. Letting those two people I despise get together would be absolutely perfect!”

Lili also agreed with Zhao Rong’s suggestion. ”The Assistant is lecherous and Medusa is shameless. Putting them together is practically a match made in heaven.”

Xuelian watched as the Assistant pulled Medusa into the room. ”That Medusa is clearly bad news. It’s the perfect chance to let the Assistant torment her a bit.”

Inside, as soon as the Assistant brought Medusa into his room, he shut the door and began to undress. The moment the door closed, Medusa’s expression changed completely; the coy and reserved facade vanished. She looked at the overly eager Assistant and thought with a disdainful expression, I came here to seduce the handsome Zhao Rong. How did I fail to hook him and end up with this scruffy, unshaven old man instead?

The Assistant approached, looking at Medusa with raw impatience. ”Beauty, let’s get started.”

When Medusa saw the dazed look in his eyes, she knew he was completely intoxicated by her fragrance. She thought to herself, If only this man were Zhao Rong... Once he was poisoned and lying in bed with me... I would spit the Snake Qi from my mouth onto his face. Once the fragrance and the Snake Qi combined, I could pull the sharp hairpin from my hair and plunge it straight into Zhao Rong’s heart. But alas, the man before me isn’t Zhao Rong, but this ugly oaf.

With that thought, Medusa abruptly withdrew the fragrance emanating from her body.

Just as the Assistant was about to leap upon her, the scent vanished. He instantly regained his sanity. Suddenly embarrassed, he took a step back, covering his privates with his hands. ”Damn it, how could I do something like that? I’m worse than a beast!”

Berating himself, the Assistant ran out of his room.

When the four girls saw him run out naked, they mocked him in unison. ”See? Not even human. He’s nothing but a... a stud... pig.”

Hearing their ridicule, the Assistant was so embarrassed he wished the earth would open up and swallow him whole.

Although he had recovered from Medusa’s fragrance, its effects had already seeped deep into him. In his heart, the Assistant had already begun to fall for her.

Wanting to play matchmaker, Zhao Rong arranged their rooms to be next to each other. He even hoped that the usually clueless Assistant might accidentally wander into the wrong room one night, leading to something romantic with Medusa. Then, the next day, they would be mutually in love and ready for marriage.

Medusa, on the other hand, had wanted the room next to Zhao Rong’s to have more opportunities to get close to him. She never expected Zhao Rong to place her next to the Assistant instead. Now, there were five people separating her from Zhao Rong: the Assistant, Lili, Yu Lan, Xuelian, and Tao Hua.

Medusa sighed, thinking to herself, It seems seducing Zhao Rong is going to be a much more difficult task than I imagined.

「Meanwhile, at the True Martial Sect」

The moment Liu Tianxiong returned, he rushed to share the good news with the Second True Mage and Wang Jingang. Upon hearing that the snake woman Medusa had successfully infiltrated Zhao Rong’s villa and his life, the Second True Mage said joyfully, ”I was right! Even a hero is no match for a beautiful woman... It seems Zhao Rong’s days are numbered.”

Wang Jingang also gloated, ”As long as Medusa is living in his villa, Zhao Rong has no hope of escaping her seduction. If you ask me, he’s more likely to perish than survive. It looks like he’s doomed to die at the hands of a woman.”

Blonde added confidently, ”Master and Elder Brother’s plan is brilliant. All we have to do is wait to collect Zhao Rong’s corpse.”

Big Dumb, ever afraid of saying the wrong thing and getting beaten by the Second True Mage and Wang Jingang, spoke cautiously. ”As long as Zhao Rong doesn’t have a sinus infection like me and can’t smell anything... then Medusa will definitely succeed in taking him down.”

After he spoke, he thought to himself, That sentence should be fine. It won’t anger Master or Elder Brother, and I definitely won’t get beaten again.

But right as he finished, Liu Tianxiong spoke up despondently. ”Second True Mage, Wang Jingang, although Medusa successfully moved into Zhao Rong’s villa, the first part of our plan—to make Zhao Rong succumb to Medusa’s poisonous fragrance—has accidentally failed.”

Hearing that Zhao Rong hadn’t been captivated by Medusa’s fragrance, the Second True Mage looked puzzled. ”How is that possible? Is Zhao Rong not a man?”

Wang Jingang was just as astonished. ”Impossible! There’s no way that kid Zhao Rong could escape Medusa’s fragrance.”

Hearing his master and elder brother, Liu Tianxiong could only tell the truth. ”Master, Elder Brother, Medusa’s scent is enchanting, but as it happens, that kid Zhao Rong was having a rhinitis flare-up. He couldn’t smell a damn thing. So, no matter how potent her fragrance was, it had no effect on him.”

At these words, the Second True Mage was dumbfounded. He thought, Damn it, how did Big Dumb get it right again?

Wang Jingang glared at Big Dumb in disbelief. ”Big Dumb, why do you always have to boost the enemy’s morale while crushing our own?”

With that, the Second True Mage and Wang Jingang walked angrily toward Big Dumb. They were about to vent all their frustration by beating the hell out of him.
