Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 52: Chapter 46 The Great Battle Against the Vampire

Watching the blond-haired man charge toward him, Zhao Rong sighed. I never fight those weaker than me, but today, you’re forcing my hand. I have no other choice.

Faced with the aggressive and overbearing blond menace, Zhao Rong didn’t resort to any tricks. He simply aimed a solid front kick straight at the man’s large, round face.

The once-fierce blond was sent flying by Zhao Rong’s kick, hurtling toward the nearby Crocodile Pond.

As he flew through the air, the blond thought, If I had known Mage Erzhen misjudged him, I wouldn’t have tried to show off. Now, not only did I fail to impress everyone, but I got sent flying by Zhao Rong instead.

When the crowd saw that a level-10 cultivator like Zhao Rong possessed the power of a level-12 cultivator, they all stared in stunned disbelief. A woman chewing gum looked at Zhao Rong and remarked, ”Wow, this Zhao Rong is a true cultivation prodigy! Beating a level-11 so easily.”

A man with a beer belly added, ”This kid is only a level-10 cultivator, but he unleashed the power of a level-12. He has the potential to be a martial arts grandmaster.”

Hearing the crowd’s praise for Zhao Rong, an enraged Mage Erzhen turned on Wang Jingang and yelled, ”Damn it! I told you to fight Zhao Rong. Why did you let that blond idiot get involved? Now we’ve started on the back foot, and everyone is looking down on us!”

With that, Mage Erzhen slapped Wang Jingang across the face.

Red-faced, Wang Jingang said, ”Master, I deserve to die.”

With that, the morale on Mage Erzhen’s side deflated like a punctured balloon. In contrast, everyone on Mage Yizhen’s side, where Zhao Rong stood, was boiling with excitement and cheering wildly.

Tao Hua gave Zhao Rong a thumbs-up. ”Zhao Rong, you’re incredible! That kick perfectly displayed the dominance of our team!”

Mage Yizhen himself added, ”Zhao Rong, that was a brilliant kick. You basically slapped Mage Erzhen right in the face. In fact, you’ve forced him to realize his team is full of useless trash.”

Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian rushed into Zhao Rong’s arms, congratulating him on a victorious start.

Just then, Mage Erzhen turned to his disciple. ”What are you waiting for? Are you trying to boost their morale and crush our own? Get up there! Remember, you must beat Zhao Rong so badly he can’t tell north from south. Restore some face for me!”

Wang Jingang immediately assured him, ”Master, rest easy. The blond was a novice, but I’m not. If a level-15 cultivator like me can’t beat a level-10 cultivator like Zhao Rong, I’ll go eat shit in the toilet.”

Hearing this, Mage Erzhen chuckled. ”With that promise, I’m confident you can defeat that boy.”

As Wang Jingang stepped forward, a wave of concern for Zhao Rong washed over the crowd. Most of them felt that even if Zhao Rong had the power of a level-12 cultivator, he was still no match for Wang Jingang, who was level-15. A quick glance at the two sides said it all. Mage Yizhen’s group consisted of only a few people, most of whom were women. Mage Erzhen’s side, however, was filled with fierce, burly men. The disparity in strength was obvious.

Meanwhile, Mage Erzhen was supremely confident in his disciple. He had secretly given Wang Jingang a red pill. As long as Wang Jingang swallowed it before the match, he could transform into a blood-sucking demon at a critical moment. If Wang Jingang became a blood-sucking demon, he would be impervious to weapons. No matter how powerful Zhao Rong was, Wang Jingang could drain him of his blood and leave him to die in agony.

Unlike the cheating pair of Mage Erzhen and Wang Jingang, Zhao Rong and Mage Yizhen fought fair.

After stepping onto the dueling platform, Zhao Rong was surprised to see that Wang Jingang, who usually had fair skin, was now beet-red. It was clear he had already taken the red pill and was on the verge of transforming.

Just then, Tao Hua spotted the deception and shouted in protest, ”Stop! This duel can’t happen! Wang Jingang is about to transform into a blood-sucking demon!”

The crowd was stunned. They couldn’t believe a level-15 cultivator like Wang Jingang could transform. In this world, that ability was reserved for those at level 20 or higher. What they didn’t know was that his transformation wasn’t from his own power but from consuming a forbidden red pill.

Being from Earth, Zhao Rong had no idea how terrifying a blood-sucking demon was. To everyone’s astonishment, he not only agreed to continue the match but also signed a life-or-death contract with Wang Jingang.

When Zhao Rong signed the contract, gasps erupted from the onlookers. Everyone felt his chances were slim to none; he would most likely lose his life.

Mage Erzhen sneered. Even if Zhao Rong has a remarkable constitution and exceptional talent, he’s no match for Wang Jingang, who is about to become a blood-sucking demon. Zhao Rong, just you wait. We’ll be collecting your corpse soon enough.

Not far away, Tao Hua broke out in a cold sweat for Zhao Rong. How can he be so reckless with his own life?

Mage Yizhen was also wiping sweat from his brow. How could I have been so careless? Why didn’t I notice Wang Jingang had taken a forbidden drug?

Just as everyone had given up on Zhao Rong’s chances, the duel began.

Wang Jingang immediately launched a Sky Cannon attack. Zhao Rong leaped nimbly into the air, easily dodging it.

Seeing his Sky Cannon miss, Wang Jingang unleashed a powerful follow-up: the Arc Whip Kick. The Arc Whip Kick was a high-level, Yellow-rank Martial Technique that could only be mastered by cultivators at level 15 or higher. As the Arc Whip Kick hurtled toward Zhao Rong, Wang Jingang thought, If you want to dodge this, you’ll need the power of a level-12 cultivator at least. Otherwise, you’re dead.

Yet, to Wang Jingang’s shock, Zhao Rong dodged it again. His eyes widened in disbelief. Is this kid really a level-12 cultivator? So he really did advance from level 10 to 12 and was just sandbagging this whole time?

At this thought, Wang Jingang decided to stop holding back. He roared, ”Transform!”

The human Wang Jingang instantly morphed into a blood-sucking demon.

Seeing Wang Jingang—who was just his size moments ago—suddenly mutate into a hulking, gorilla-like monster, Zhao Rong took a sharp breath and backed away. ”Damn it,” he muttered. ”If I’d known a blood-sucking demon was this huge, I really wouldn’t have agreed to this fight. This is totally unfair.”

The transformed Wang Jingang looked down at the diminutive Zhao Rong and laughed manically. ”Zhao Rong, don’t let my mouth touch any part of your body. If it does, I can drain you completely dry in just thirty seconds.”

Hearing how dangerous the demon was, Zhao Rong glanced at the bulging veins on his own arm and quipped, ”Well, damn. I didn’t expect you to turn into a giant mosquito.”

Enraged at being called a mosquito, Wang Jingang roared and charged at Zhao Rong, planning to clamp down on his body and suck him dry.

Just as Wang Jingang extended his mosquito-like proboscis and lunged for Zhao Rong, the poison in an assistant sitting nearby suddenly flared up. He had been bitten on the buttocks by a venomous snake in the Cultivation Cave earlier, and without timely treatment, the venom was now spreading throughout his body.

In that moment, the assistant desperately wished someone would appear to suck the snake venom from his body, saving his life.

But then a despairing thought struck him. This venom is lethal. Who in the world would be foolish enough to actually suck it out for me?

As the assistant writhed in agony, he looked up and saw Wang Jingang, now a blood-sucking demon, charging in his direction with an extended proboscis.

The assistant froze, stunned. Whoa, so there really is something that sucks blood.
