Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 73: Chapter 65: Beauty’s Scheme, A Gentle Kill

The scout had barely started speaking when Mage Erzhen cut him off. ”What did you say? That punk Zhao Rong isn’t dead?”

Wang Jingang stared at the scout in disbelief. ”What are you talking about? Zhao Rong didn’t die? Impossible!”

Huang Mao’s eyes went wide with shock. He gaped at the scout and said, ”The Gecko Man is a powerful magical beast. How on earth could a punk like Zhao Rong possibly survive?”

Dasha, who was foolish to begin with, looked even more so now. ”Does that mean Zhao Rong killed the Magic Beast Gecko Man?”

Hearing this, Mage Erzhen, who was standing nearby, slapped Dasha across the face. ”Damn it! A dog’s mouth will never spit out ivory. I can believe Zhao Rong is still alive, but saying he killed the Magic Beast Gecko Man? That’s absolutely impossible.”

Wang Jingang chimed in, ”If Zhao Rong managed to kill the Magic Beast Gecko Man, I, Wang Jingang, will not only write my name backward, but I’ll also eat shit.”

The scout took an awkward step back, cold sweat beading on his forehead. ”Master, Senior Brother... Zhao Rong really... not only did he survive, but he killed the Magic Beast Gecko Man. And he got a Demon Crystal and a Dharma Sword from it.”

Hearing that Zhao Rong, whom he was certain was dead, had not only survived but had also killed the Magic Beast Gecko Man and obtained its Demon Crystal and Dharma Sword, Mage Erzhen was so shocked he collapsed onto a bench, unable to speak for a long moment.

Wang Jingang couldn’t believe his ears. He lunged forward, grabbed the scout by the collar, and growled, ”What did you just say? Zhao Rong didn’t just survive, he killed the Magic Beast Gecko Man?”

The terrified scout’s voice trembled. ”Senior Brother, I’m telling the truth, please don’t kill me! Zhao Rong really killed the Magic Beast Gecko Man and got its Demon Crystal and Dharma Sword.”

In response, Wang Jingang kicked the scout to the ground. Rubbing the back of his head in disbelief, he turned to Mage Erzhen. ”Master, given the Gecko Man’s strength, Zhao Rong should have been no match for it... How could he have possibly killed it?”

Huang Mao also stepped forward, his face a mask of incredulity. ”That kid Zhao Rong... did he have a divine weapon helping him? There’s no other way his level-fifteen cultivation could defeat a level-seventeen magical beast that possessed a top-tier weapon like the Dharma Sword.”

Dasha’s jaw quivered in shock. ”The Magic Beast Gecko Man tried to steal Zhao Rong’s Dragon Crystal but got killed instead, losing its own Demon Crystal and Dharma Sword in the process. This Zhao Rong is on another level.”

Hearing Dasha’s words, Wang Jingang slapped him across the face again. ”Damn it, you and your stinking mouth. Get the hell out of my sight!”

With that, Wang Jingang drew the long blade from his waist and pressed its tip against the scout’s chest. ”Scout, you tell me right now. Who helped Zhao Rong turn the tables on the Magic Beast Gecko Man?”

There must have been an expert helping him, Wang Jingang thought. Otherwise, Zhao Rong could never have defeated the Magic Beast Gecko Man.

Even if there wasn’t an expert, Mage Erzhen thought, Zhao Rong must have acquired some kind of advanced Martial Technique. With his third-rate skills, he would have been no match for the Gecko Man otherwise.

Staring at the blade against his chest, the scout told them everything. ”After the Magic Beast Gecko Man knocked Zhao Rong down, it was just about to eat him... but then Zhao Rong suddenly used some kind of secret weapon. It instantly incapacitated the Gecko Man, leaving it helpless on the ground.”

At the mention of a secret weapon, Mage Erzhen stood up. ”I knew it! That Zhao Rong must have used some kind of ultimate weapon. Otherwise, he could never have killed the Magic Beast Gecko Man.”

Wang Jingang nodded in agreement. That ultimate weapon Zhao Rong used must be incredibly powerful, he thought. It’s impossible to kill a tough-skinned, level-seventeen magical beast with ordinary weapons.

Just as everyone was convinced Zhao Rong must have used some extraordinary superweapon, the scout said sheepishly, ”Zhao Rong used... a can... of insecticide.”

When they heard that the great weapon was a can of insecticide, everyone practically fainted.

Mage Erzhen was so shocked he fell right off his stool. Sitting on the ground, he stammered, ”That boy Zhao Rong... he really is no ordinary person. He’s a phenomenon. I just don’t understand how he knew that a can of insecticide worth a few dozen yuan could take out a formidable magical beast like the Gecko Man.”

Wang Jingang also fell to the ground in shock. Scratching the back of his head, he said, ”His style hasn’t changed a bit. He always finds some bizarre way to win. He uses the simplest, cheapest things to defeat unbelievably powerful opponents.”

Huang Mao, who had been sipping tea, was so startled he spilled it all over himself. ”That kid Zhao Rong... he used a dining table to knock out Mask, the city’s top assassin. He used chili water to subdue the Black Mountain Old Demon. He used rotten eggs to knock out that serpentine super-beast. He used the Descendant Ending Kick to take down the Rainy Night Maniac...”

Mage Erzhen pushed himself up and let out a long sigh. ”It seems if we want to deal with Zhao Rong, we’ll have to resort to an unorthodox plan.”

Hearing this, Dasha thought for a moment and said, ”Since Zhao Rong used insecticide, we should find a magical beast from Demon Beast Mountain that’s immune to it. Then we can kill him!”

Mage Erzhen slapped Dasha across the face yet again. ”You imbecile! If Zhao Rong can use insecticide to beat the Gecko Man, he can use other bizarre tricks to beat the next magical beast.”

Having been slapped several times in a row for speaking his mind, Dasha looked at Mage Erzhen with a sense of grievance, not daring to say another word.

Huang Mao thought for a moment before suggesting, ”Master, since magical beasts are no match for him, could we perhaps hire a human expert from the Wild Wolf Sect to assassinate Zhao Rong?”

Hearing the suggestion to hire from a rival sect, Mage Erzhen immediately rejected it. ”Our True Martial Sect and the Wild Wolf Sect have always been like fire and water. If we were to invite an expert from the Wild Wolf Sect to eliminate Zhao Rong... and word got out, how could I continue to be the Sect Leader?”

At this, Huang Mao fell silent.

Just as everyone was at their wits’ end, Wang Jingang’s eyes darted around. ”Master, since men are ineffective, could we perhaps bring in a woman? She could get close to him... and kill him.”

Mage Erzhen instantly understood his meaning. He turned sharply to look at Wang Jingang, a sly smile spreading across his face. ”Are you suggesting a beauty trap?”

Wang Jingang nodded. ”Master, we could hire a beautiful snake-woman from the Serpent People tribe. Just like Liu Tianxiong, she could infiltrate Zhao Rong’s team, use her charms to seduce him, and then kill him in his bed.”

Listening to Wang Jingang, a lewd grin appeared on Mage Erzhen’s face. ”An excellent idea. It’s said that even heroes have a weakness for beauty. Rather than spending a fortune hiring magical beasts and assassins, finding the right woman would be far more effective.”

Wang Jingang nodded emphatically. ”Master is right. From what I can tell, Zhao Rong might act like a gentleman on the surface, but I saw through him long ago. He’s a lecher at heart. As long as we can hire the snake-woman Medusa from the Serpent People tribe, we can definitely kill him.”

Mage Erzhen gave Wang Jingang a thumbs-up. ”As expected of my top disciple. My efforts in training you were not in vain.”

Hearing the praise, Wang Jingang smiled with pride.

Just as the two reached a perfect understanding, Dasha suddenly chimed in doubtfully, ”Zhao Rong already has four beauties with him: Miss Lili, Yu Lan, Xuelian, and Tao Hua. Do you really think he’ll be tempted by another woman?”

Those four women are probably the most beautiful in the world, Dasha thought. They haven’t managed to lead Zhao Rong astray. Even if they bring in this Medusa, there’s no guarantee he’ll take the bait.

Hearing Dasha’s words, Mage Erzhen and Wang Jingang simultaneously slapped him.

Mage Erzhen snapped, ”The Serpent People possess a unique scent. Any man who smells it will become hopelessly addicted, unable to free himself. Do you think Zhao Rong can escape the allure of the snake-woman Medusa? Medusa is the most beautiful of her tribe, a true peerless beauty.”

Wang Jingang added, ”And don’t you know? Medusa is a master of seduction. Even if Zhao Rong is surrounded by four top-tier beauties all day, he won’t be able to resist her, unless he’s not a man.”

With that, Mage Erzhen and Wang Jingang looked at each other. As long as Medusa makes her move, she alone will be more than enough.

Convinced, Wang Jingang immediately set off for the Serpent People tribe to hire Medusa, no matter the cost. He already had the entire plan mapped out. As soon as Medusa was hired, he would hand her over to the traitor, Liu Tianxiong. Liu Tianxiong would then bring Medusa to live in Zhao Rong’s villa. From there, she would seduce Zhao Rong step-by-step, letting him sink deeper and deeper into her trap. Finally, she would boil the frog slowly, killing Zhao Rong in bed when he was at his most vulnerable.
