Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 74: Chapter 66: The perfume is poisonous, a scent that bewilders

One day, while Zhao Rong was having a party in his newly purchased villa with four beautiful women and his assistant, there was a sudden knock at the front door. Everyone was enjoying delicious food, sipping fine wine, and having a blast, so they were annoyed by the interruption. ”Who could be here at this hour? So tactless.”

Holding a glass of champagne, Zhao Rong walked to the door. I just bought this villa, so most people shouldn’t know I live here, right? he thought as he opened it.

Standing on the doorstep were Liu Tianxiong and the snake woman, Medusa.

The show-off, Liu Tianxiong, gazed at Zhao Rong’s luxurious new villa and was suddenly reminded of the time he had flaunted his own wealth in front of him. He felt an involuntary wave of embarrassment. I’m very rich, but showing off in front of the even richer Zhao Rong is like teaching an expert his own craft. I’m just making a fool of myself.

As Liu Tianxiong stared with envy, Zhao Rong opened the door, still sipping his champagne. The moment it opened, the scent of Medusa’s perfume flooded the villa, instantly filling the entire space.

Medusa, though a snake person, had completely transformed into an exquisitely beautiful woman with a perfect figure. No one could possibly tell that the beauty before them was not human.

When Medusa saw Zhao Rong, she thought, There isn’t a man in this world who can resist my unique scent... Zhao Rong, you must have smelled my enchanting perfume by now, haven’t you? But this isn’t just any perfume. It’s a stimulant designed to bewitch men.

Inside the house, the assistant caught a whiff of the captivating fragrance wafting from Medusa and immediately froze. His eyes went vacant as he stared blankly at the woman at the door. Clearly, Medusa’s unique perfume had already taken effect on him.

Medusa waited, expecting Zhao Rong, being a man himself, to fall prey to her perfume just as the assistant had. Instead, Zhao Rong looked at her without any reaction and asked, ”Miss, who are you looking for?”

Seeing that he was completely unaffected by her perfume, Medusa was dumbfounded. This captivating scent is unique to my snake people. No man should be able to resist it. Why isn’t he reacting? Could it be that he’s not a man?

While Medusa was still puzzled, Zhao Rong rubbed his nose and let out a huge sneeze. ”Damn it, it’s that time of year again. The pollen is making my rhinitis act up.”

Hearing that Zhao Rong had rhinitis, Medusa nearly fainted. If a man has rhinitis, of course he can’t smell my enchanting scent. If Zhao Rong can’t smell it, how am I supposed to seduce and bewitch him? Does this mean my plan has failed before it even began?

While Medusa was lost in her thoughts, Zhao Rong took in the scantily dressed woman before him, noting her fair skin, slender arms, and long legs. ”Miss, may I ask who you are looking for?” he repeated.

At this, Liu Tianxiong hastily stepped forward. ”Brother Zhao Rong, it’s me, Liu Tianxiong! This beautiful woman is my cousin.”

Only then did Zhao Rong realize that the stunning woman had come with Liu Tianxiong. Before he could say another word, the women from inside rushed to the door.

Lili glared at Liu Tianxiong and Medusa. ”I don’t know where this Liu Tianxiong found a streetwalker to bring here. How shameless.”

Yu Lan sized up Medusa with unconcealed jealousy. ”My dear, you’re wearing so little. Aren’t you afraid of catching a cold in this weather?”

Xuelian looked at Medusa with a clear lack of welcome. ”Brother Zhao Rong already has the three of us to look after him. We don’t need anyone else.”

Seeing that he and Medusa were not welcome, Liu Tianxiong quickly explained, ”Everyone, please don’t misunderstand! I didn’t come here to impose on you. I just need a place for my cousin to stay temporarily... She’s a distant relative, you see, and she just arrived in this strange city all alone... I wouldn’t feel right about her renting a place by herself... So, I was hoping she could stay in Brother Zhao Rong’s villa for a little while. As soon as my apartment renovation is done, I’ll come pick her up.”

Hearing that Medusa was a distant relative of Liu Tianxiong, Lili looked her up and down. ”Beauty, you must have had eight lifetimes of bad luck to have such a sleazy relative.”

Yu Lan particularly disapproved of Medusa’s revealing clothes. ”Birds of a feather flock together,” she scoffed. ”Liu Tianxiong is bad news, so this Medusa can’t be any good either.”

Xuelian had no intention of letting Medusa stay. ”If Medusa has nowhere to go, I can have a friend of mine come and let her stay at her place.”

Hearing this, Liu Tianxiong grew desperate. No matter what, I have to get Medusa into Zhao Rong’s villa. Otherwise, I’ll fail the mission that Mage and Wang Jingang gave me.

So, Liu Tianxiong lied. ”Brother Zhao Rong, ladies, as you can all see, I, Liu Tianxiong, am from a rich family, which means my relatives are, too. Miss Medusa isn’t used to living in an average house. That’s why I brought her here, to Brother Zhao Rong’s luxurious villa. After all, your villa is one of the finest in the entire city.” As he spoke, Liu Tianxiong looked at Zhao Rong like a lapdog, practically begging him to agree.

Just then, the assistant, who was still bewitched by Medusa’s fragrance, rushed over and spoke up for them. ”We’re all one team here! Since Liu Tianxiong is a member of our team, then Miss Medusa, whom he brought, should join our team, too! That way, our team grows from eight people to nine!”

With that, the assistant pushed past everyone, dashed outside, took Medusa by the hand, and pulled her into the room.

When Liu Tianxiong saw the assistant lead Medusa inside, he hid a smirk. Looks like the assistant has already fallen for Medusa’s intoxicating perfume.

Unlike the assistant, Liu Tianxiong had not been captivated by Medusa’s fragrance because he had taken realgar in advance. Zhao Rong, on the other hand, couldn’t smell a thing due to his rhinitis, so he was completely immune to her perfume. As for Lili, Yu Lan, Xuelian, and Tao Hua, being women, they could smell the strong perfume on Medusa, but aside from finding it overpowering, they felt no other effects.

Thus, upon arriving at Zhao Rong’s villa, Medusa’s first move had successfully ensnared the assistant.

As the assistant gazed at Medusa, his secret crush on Yu Lan was instantly forgotten, his affections transferring completely to the newcomer. Especially when he saw Medusa’s beautiful legs, her graceful arms, and the sultry smile on her face, he lost all self-control. He wanted to take Medusa to his room, and then...
