Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 53: Chapter 47: Borrowing a Knife to Kill Someone, Perfection to the Extreme

At this moment, the situation on the martial arts stage was completely one-sided. The Vampire Demon King Wang Jingang was relentlessly chasing Zhao Rong all over the arena. After all, they were not in the same league, and Wang Jingang had become incredibly powerful after his transformation. Therefore, Zhao Rong figured the best course of action was to run. Although Wang Jingang was powerful, he couldn’t catch up with the nimble Zhao Rong.

Suddenly, Wang Jingang unleashed his Martial Technique, Wind Fire Wheels. Zhao Rong, who had the advantage in speed just a moment ago, was instantly caught. As Wang Jingang was about to catch her and suck her blood, the onlookers tensed up. Everyone felt that no matter how strong Zhao Rong was, she could not escape the Vampire Demon’s fangs.

Looking at Zhao Rong, who was now just a step away, Wang Jingang thought, Kid, no matter how strong, fast, or fierce you are, you can’t escape my vampiric fangs.

With that, the Vampire Demon King lunged at Zhao Rong, mouth wide open. With nowhere left to run, she unwittingly darted into the crowd. Just as the Vampire Demon’s mouth was about to clamp down on her, she accidentally tripped on a rock and fell flat.

As Zhao Rong fell, the pursuing Vampire Demon King Wang Jingang couldn’t stop his momentum. He flew right over her body and, due to his inertia, slammed directly into the person on the other side. As luck would have it, this was the very assistant who had been poisoned by the snake, sitting directly in his path.

At that moment, the assistant was dizzy and dazed from the snake venom, feeling as if his end was near. Just as he thought he was about to pass on, he suddenly felt a mouth sucking directly on his wound.

It turned out that after missing Zhao Rong, the Vampire Demon King had landed squarely on the assistant. When Wang Jingang realized he hadn’t bitten Zhao Rong but the assistant instead, he thought, Damn it. He’s one of Zhao Rong’s people anyway. Killing one of them is good enough.

And so, the Vampire Demon King began to suck the assistant’s blood. But to his immense frustration, after just two mouthfuls, he suddenly began to tremble uncontrollably as if poisoned. In agony, Wang Jingang released the assistant, staggered back three steps, and collapsed.

Since the Vampire Demon King had sucked all the snake venom from the assistant’s body into his own mouth and swallowed it, the venom in the assistant’s system vanished instantly.

Freed from the poison, the assistant’s mind cleared immediately. As he stood up, he wondered, Who was that good Samaritan? Sucking the venom out for me... That’s incredibly selfless!

Just as the assistant was pondering who had saved him, the deeply poisoned Vampire Demon King lay on the ground, foaming at the mouth. Convulsing, he looked at Zhao Rong and the assistant behind her. ”I originally thought that I, Wang Jingang, was the only one cheating...” he gasped. ”But I never expected you two would team up to cheat against me! It’s true what they say: for every clever devil, there’s a cleverer saint. You win. You’re ruthless, and you really know how to play the game...” With that, Wang Jingang fainted.

When Mage Erzhen saw that Wang Jingang had not only failed to drink any blood but had been poisoned into unconsciousness, he rushed into the arena. While helping Wang Jingang up and feeding him an Elixir, he yelled, ”You conniving villains! Are you that desperate to cheat? You actually used someone laced with snake venom as bait for Wang Jingang!”

Hearing Mage Erzhen’s hypocritical accusation—acting like the victim when he was the perpetrator—Mage Yizhen immediately jumped out. He spoke up for Zhao Rong, ”Mage Erzhen, do you think we didn’t see what you did? To ensure Wang Jingang won this match, you deliberately gave him a red pill before it started, turning him into a Vampire Demon to kill Zhao Rong! The real cheaters aren’t Zhao Rong and her assistant; it’s you and Wang Jingang!”

At these words, a collective gasp rose from the crowd below. No one had expected the supposedly honorable and upright Mage Erzhen to be such a villain behind the scenes. A chorus of boos immediately erupted from the audience, and hearing them, Mage Erzhen was so ashamed he couldn’t even lift his head.

He glared at Zhao Rong and Mage Yizhen. ”You win this time. You’re ruthless,” he snarled. ”We’ll meet again, and I guarantee you’ll be completely crushed.” With that, Mage Erzhen and his large entourage fled in disgrace.

Once the evil Mage Erzhen was driven away, the crowd erupted into thunderous cheers. Only then did everyone start looking for Zhao Rong, the true hero of the battle.

Zhao Rong stood up from where she had fallen. Brushing the dust off her clothes, she said, ”Phew, I really have that little rock to thank for tripping me. Otherwise, that Vampire Demon would have sucked me completely dry.”

When the crowd saw their hero stand up, they all rushed to gather around her. A girl with her hair tied in a high ponytail looked at Zhao Rong with admiration. ”So you’re the legendary Master Zhao Rong!” she gushed. ”That move you used to subdue the Vampire Demon was so cool!

”A simple duck and you let the Vampire Demon fly right over your head. You didn’t even touch him, but when he got up, he just suddenly collapsed, foaming at the mouth and convulsing...”
