Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 57: Chapter 50 All in darkness, entering the wrong room

When an unknown woman embraced Zhao Rong from behind, he immediately pushed Lili and Yu Lan aside. ”Cold hands, sharp nails... A female ghost?” he muttered.

Without another thought, Zhao Rong prepared to throw the strange woman over his shoulder. Recently, rumors had circulated that a terrifying female ghost was wandering the city. Judging by the woman’s ice-cold hands and sharp nails, he deduced that this was very likely her.

However, just as Zhao Rong was about to execute the throw, Xuelian, who was standing opposite him, suddenly cried out, ”Zhao Rong, the beauty behind you isn’t a ghost! It’s Sister Tao Hua!”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong froze. He immediately let go of Tao Hua’s hands and turned around. Indeed, the woman who had hugged him from behind was Tao Hua, though she appeared to be quite drunk.

Seeing Tao Hua still clinging to him affectionately, he said awkwardly, ”Tao Hua, are you alright? If you’re drunk, come inside. I’ll make you some milk to sober you up.”

Suddenly, Tao Hua let go of him. ”I saw Lili and Yu Lan hugging you... and I wanted to hug you too, so... I came up from behind.”

It turned out that after the Mage saw Zhao Rong return home with several beautiful women, he noticed his daughter Tao Hua seemed lonely, so he had her follow them in a taxi. The Mage also felt that since these young people were a team, they should spend more time together to build camaraderie. This would help them cooperate more easily in battle.

Hearing that Tao Hua had come over because she felt lonely, everyone invited her into the villa.

Although Tao Hua was highly skilled in Martial Arts, she could not hold her liquor. After having a few drinks, the cool breeze hit her as she got out of the taxi, and she became suddenly drunk. That was what led to the scene of her hugging Zhao Rong from behind just moments ago.

Zhao Rong’s villa was large, so he found a very comfortable room for Tao Hua to stay in. Worried that the intoxicated Tao Hua might choke on her vomit, he asked Xuelian, the most sensible girl among them, to look after her. However, Xuelian resented that Tao Hua had hugged Zhao Rong and was reluctant to help.

Seeing Xuelian’s unwillingness, Zhao Rong didn’t blame her. Young girls can be petty and possessive, after all.

He then said to her, ”Xuelian, you’re tired too. You should go get some sleep. I’ll stay and take care of Tao Hua.”

Xuelian had initially planned to simply leave Tao Hua to sleep alone, not caring whether she was drunk or not. But now that Zhao Rong himself was planning to stay and watch over her, she grew worried. She looked at him and said, ”Zhao Rong, I’m worried about leaving you here to take care of Sister Tao Hua.”

Hearing her concern, Zhao Rong blushed. ”Don’t worry, I’m not some pervert who takes advantage of drunk girls. I’m just afraid she might vomit in her sleep and choke. That would be a serious problem.”

Realizing he had misunderstood, Xuelian explained, ”Zhao Rong, that’s not what I meant. I’m afraid that if Sister Tao Hua wakes up in the middle of the night and sees you sleeping beside her, she might... get ideas. Besides, her cultivation level is very high. What if she has her way with you?”

Zhao Rong was taken aback. So she isn’t worried about what I might do to Tao Hua, but what Tao Hua might do to me?

He couldn’t help but chuckle inwardly. If a stunning beauty like Tao Hua, with a face as lovely as a peach blossom, actually made a move on me... I’d be hoping for it!

Just as Zhao Rong was lost in his reverie, Xuelian let out a big yawn. ”Zhao Rong, let’s go. Just let her sleep in here by herself. She didn’t drink that much; she’ll be fine.”

Zhao Rong looked at Tao Hua, who was lying passed out on the bed, and said to Xuelian, ”You go to sleep. I’ll take care of her. Don’t worry, I can protect myself.”

At this, Xuelian suddenly grew upset. ”No! Zhao Rong, you have to save your first time for me! You must leave this room tonight.”

Zhao Rong was stunned. He never expected the usually shy and timid Xuelian to be so blunt. While a part of him felt a surge of happiness, he was still worried about Tao Hua’s safety. Having no other choice, he temporarily relented. ”Alright, we’ll let her sleep here alone. I’ll go back to my own bedroom.”

Then, with Xuelian watching closely, he closed the door to Tao Hua’s bedroom, and they left together.

Later that night, the villa fell silent as everyone turned off their lights.

Zhao Rong couldn’t stop worrying about the drunken Tao Hua. If something were to happen to her tonight, how could I ever explain it to the Sect Leader? The Mage entrusted her to my care, after all.

He decided to quietly check on the situation. Discovering the entire villa was completely silent, he knew everyone was asleep. So, he tiptoed to Tao Hua’s room. Zhao Rong’s home was a high-end villa with excellent soundproofing and sealing. Once the lights were out, it was pitch-black, so dark you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face.

Just as Zhao Rong quietly entered Tao Hua’s room, Yu Lan crept out of her own. Tonight is the perfect opportunity. With Lili and Xuelian both drunk and tired, no one is watching me. Why not take this chance to sneak into Zhao Rong’s room and...

Meanwhile, as Yu Lan was heading for Zhao Rong’s room, the assistant finally returned after finishing his punishment of cleaning all the toilets at the True Martial Sect. Muttering under his breath about how everyone ostracized him, he entered the dark villa without turning on any lights.

By a twist of fate, the assistant’s room was right next to Zhao Rong’s. He mistakenly walked into the wrong room and, exhausted from cleaning toilets, collapsed onto the bed in the darkness.

At that moment, Yu Lan silently arrived at the door to Zhao Rong’s room. To her surprise, she found it was unlocked.

Could it be that Zhao Rong has feelings for me? Did he guess I would come to him tonight and purposely leave the door unlocked?

Delighted by this thought, Yu Lan happily opened the door, slipped inside, and gently closed it behind her. She had no idea that the assistant had returned, nor that he had entered the wrong room and was now lying on Zhao Rong’s bed.

Just as Yu Lan entered the room, an alarm went off, and Xuelian woke up. She was still worried, certain that the kind-hearted Zhao Rong would have gone to check on Tao Hua. She had specifically set an alarm to sneak over to his room and listen at the door. If she heard snoring, she would know he was safely inside. If not, it meant he had gone to Tao Hua’s room, and she would have to drag him out.

As the other women made their moves, Lili, who had gone to bed earliest despite drinking a lot, was also stirring. Her thoughts mirrored Yu Lan’s: with the other girls drunk and asleep, tonight was the perfect chance to make a trip to Zhao Rong’s room. However, not daring to turn on the lights, she navigated in the dark. Since the assistant’s room was next to Zhao Rong’s, she accidentally walked into the assistant’s room instead.

And so, the situation devolved into a complete farce. Zhao Rong went to Tao Hua’s room. The assistant mistakenly entered Zhao Rong’s room. Yu Lan followed, heading for Zhao Rong’s room, only to find the assistant waiting for her inside. Meanwhile, Xuelian was eavesdropping at Zhao Rong’s door, but her targets were now the assistant and Yu Lan. To top it off, when Lili walked into the assistant’s room, she mistakenly believed she had arrived at Zhao Rong’s.
