Wilderness Survival with Druid System

There are differences in the way Snow Leopards and wolves eat.

Unlike wolves, which gulp down their prey in big bites, Snow Leopards slowly tear the meat into strips, chew, and then swallow.

This means that Snow Leopards eat much more slowly.

Chen Wen simply sat next to the Snow Leopard, silently watching it eat.

After the Snow Leopard finished eating the limited amount of Argali meat, Chen Wen waved at it.

The Snow Leopard hesitated for a moment but then came closer.

Just as Chen Wen extended his hand to pet it, the Snow Leopard instinctively leaned towards his hand.

”This guy has definitely been fed by humans before and even petted!”

Chen Wen couldn’t help but say.

After Chen Wen spoke, the Snow Leopard was startled by his voice and quickly retreated.

It was so nervous that it brought its tail to its mouth and gently bit it.

Oh my gosh!

Chen Wen looked at the Snow Leopard, sighed, and rubbed his forehead: Why did this guy get nervous again?

When a Snow Leopard gets nervous, it bites its tail to relieve stress, just like a child sucking on a bottle when anxious.

Chen Wen shook his head, deciding to ignore the Snow Leopard.

Instead, he picked up the remaining meat and supplies and turned to leave.

He shouldn’t expose his back to wild animals, but in Chen Wen’s eyes, the Snow Leopard wasn’t a wild beast.

The Snow Leopard acted just as Chen Wen expected.

It had no intention of attacking Chen Wen; instead, after he walked away, it emitted a series of somewhat anxious low growls.

It seemed to be worried about Chen Wen leaving.

Chen Wen heard the sound, turned, and glanced at the Snow Leopard, waving at it.

The Snow Leopard hesitated for a moment and then followed Chen Wen, keeping about fifty meters away.

Seeing this, Chen Wen didn’t interfere further.

As a predator living in the highlands, Snow Leopards have their unique survival skills.

If he could tame it and gain an entry, it would be a good thing.

But if he really tamed the Snow Leopard, the association might have a headache!

...

”Liu! Liu!”

Qu Yong breathlessly called Liu Yu’s name as he entered his room.

Liu Yu, who was busy with work, looked up at Qu Yong: ”What’s the matter? Do you need something? I was just about to talk to you. The association has some matters to attend to in the next few days, and I must leave the day after tomorrow.”

Qu Yong nodded at these words: ”Alright, staying here isn’t much of an issue, but there’s something I need to tell you before you go.”

As he spoke, Qu Yong placed his phone in front of Liu Yu and tapped the screen, revealing a screenshot.

”Oh, it’s Chen Wen. He’s feeding...”

Liu Yu suddenly felt a sinking feeling: ”Oh crap! A Snow Leopard! Don’t tell me he plans to tame a Snow Leopard!”

Hearing this, Qu Yong nodded seriously and said: ”Most likely! I just saw that Snow Leopard following Chen Wen, and if nothing unexpected happens, it’s bound to leave with him. Taming it is only a matter of time!”

Listening to this, Liu Yu scratched his head repeatedly, feeling like a thousand alpacas were trampling through his mind.

”Damn!”

After pulling out several hairs, Liu Yu finally stopped: ”Luckily, our footage isn’t broadcast live to the outside. Otherwise, that group of animal rights activists would be up in arms. Forget it; I’ll decide to cut the Snow Leopard’s footage, and... I’ll consult with the reserve about giving them a heads-up.”

While speaking, Liu Yu couldn’t help but say: ”I should have left a few days earlier, would have avoided this trouble.”

Qu Yong, beside him, chuckled: ”Leaving? You’d have to come back, can you let me handle the negotiations?”

Liu Yu rolled his eyes: ”Alright then, I’ll discuss it further with the reserve, to avoid having to come back needlessly.”

...

Meanwhile, with Chen Wen.

Watched closely by the Golden Eagle, Chen Wen found a steep slope to descend after about half an hour of walking.

He carefully carried his supplies and began his cautious descent down the steep slope.

Along the way, Chen Wen felt like the stones under his feet were brittle cookies, creaking and falling whenever he stepped on them.

Overall though, Chen Wen’s excellent physical condition made the journey safe despite minor scares.

Soon, he reached a flat area.

At this point, Chen Wen looked up at the high ground.

The Snow Leopard was also watching him.

Just as Chen Wen wondered if the Snow Leopard could navigate such a steep slope, it suddenly picked up speed and expertly landed on a protruding rock.

Chen Wen’s eyes widened in surprise.

The Snow Leopard’s display wasn’t over; its thick, long tail swung, maintaining balance.

While its front paws touched down, it then immediately bounded forward again.

Its hind paws followed the tracks of the front paws in a single stride.

Moreover, the Snow Leopard’s broad paws provided cushioning.

During its descent, its paws dissipated accumulated energy from its body, lessening the burden.

With these coordinated efforts, the Snow Leopard’s body was like a fine-tuned instrument, each leap propelling it downhill as if it were flying at tremendous speed.

Chen Wen patted his head.

Even a pregnant Snow Leopard had formidable agility!

What humans consider rock climbing or mountaineering might be as effortless as a stroll to a Snow Leopard.

The slope that took Chen Wen nearly ten minutes to descend was navigated by the Snow Leopard in less than a minute.

Once on the gentle slope below, the Snow Leopard looked at Chen Wen, elegantly flicking its tail as if showing off.

Chen Wen felt his mouth twitch.

If I didn’t want to bully you, I could just turn into the Golden Eagle and dive down in three seconds!

He confirmed the Snow Leopard was unharmed and continued onward.

...

There wasn’t much else to say about the ensuing journey.

Chen Wen walked ahead, Golden Eagle flew overhead, occasionally soaring farther to observe its surroundings with curiosity.

After all, in the Golden Eagle’s homeland, there were still trees to see.

But atop the Qiangtang mountains, no trees existed.

Behind Chen Wen, the Snow Leopard accompanied him, although the distance between it and Chen Wen gradually decreased.

Through traveling together for some time, the Snow Leopard felt that this two-legged creature resembled the humans who once cared for it, being equally friendly.

As a result, it grew more trusting of Chen Wen.

Approaching the plateau, the Golden Eagle seemed intrigued by distant animals.

It mentioned to Chen Wen that it would fly over and try to catch some of those cute, foolish-looking creatures.

A glance told Chen Wen that the animal the Golden Eagle referred to was likely the marmot, the common resident of the plateau.

Marmots posed no threat to the Golden Eagle.

Noticing the Golden Eagle’s keen interest, Chen Wen waved it off.

At the same time, he advised caution, urging the Golden Eagle not to get hurt by the marmots.

These silly creatures could be dangerous when cornered.

With Chen Wen’s permission, the Golden Eagle immediately flapped its wings, heading towards where the marmots were.

Chen Wen watched the Golden Eagle depart, then looked back at the ever-loyal Snow Leopard.

Hmm, should he attempt to tame it?

Feeding it so much meat, and with other humans having interacted with it before.

Taming this Snow Leopard shouldn’t be too difficult.

With such thoughts, Chen Wen continued walking for a while.

He was considering whether to lure the Snow Leopard with more Argali meat when suddenly.

Chen Wen caught a glimpse of two gray shadows.

Not good!

There’s danger!
