Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Next are the three special entries chosen for the unique environment of the Qiangtang Plateau.

[Strong Heart and Lungs], enhances the strength of the heart and lungs, gaining more powerful physical abilities and reducing the impact of altitude sickness on Chen Wen.

[Cold Resistance], improves resistance to cold. The Qiangtang Plateau is at a very high altitude with low temperatures, necessitating a similar cold resistance entry.

[Tenacity], one of Chen Wen’s few entries that can withstand sun exposure and reduce the impact of solar radiation. The thin air at high altitudes weakens the atmosphere’s shielding effect on solar radiation, allowing more radiation to reach the ground, amplifying its impact on humans.

Many plateau residents have noticeably different skin tones compared to plains residents when they arrive in flat regions, a characteristic known as plateau redness, caused by long-term exposure to low oxygen, strong ultraviolet radiation, and low temperatures.

Therefore, these three entries are essential.

Finally, the entries needed for combat and hunting.

[Sting (Hairy Bull Ant)], after returning the venomous fang entry of Taipan Snake, this is currently Chen Wen’s strongest venom entry.

Invincible for self-defense.

Not only is the toxin lethal, but it also causes immense pain, instantly disabling human or animal resistance, making it an indispensable entry for combat.

[Giant Strength], pure numerics, extreme enjoyment.

This entry needs no further explanation.

[Gua Fragrance], conceals scent, making it harder for animals to detect Chen Wen.

It can also attract herbivores and omnivores through fragrance, allowing Chen Wen to successfully ambush, making it a very strong entry.

After selecting the entries, Chen Wen looked at his entry balance.

Hmm... spent quite a bit.

This time, the ten starting entries have many golden ones, as many as four.

The remaining six are purple entries.

These entries cost Chen Wen a total of 587 Inheritance Points, and his Inheritance Points are down to 152.

These points are very few indeed.

Chen Wen sighed and closed the system.

He felt the state of his body, which was excellent!

Thus, after a bit of movement, Chen Wen began observing his surroundings and planning the tasks for this morning.

...

At the monitoring base.

Qu Yong was talking to Liu Yu, who had been lying down for several days and had finally returned to normal.

”This time, how do you feel about him? Does he have a good chance of passing?”

Liu Yu asked.

Qu Yong nodded, ”I have great confidence in Chen Wen.”

Upon hearing this, Liu Yu couldn’t help but laugh, ”It’s the first time I heard you say something like this.”

Qu Yong also laughed.

The two watched the screen showing Chen Wen and casually talked about other things.

Regarding Chen Wen, they both were willing to believe that this seemingly unremarkable young man could perform miracles once again!

...

Chen Wen’s side.

Standing on the ridge of the mountain peak, he carefully observed his surroundings.

The Golden Eagle also took off, assisting Chen Wen in surveying.

Soon, with the Golden Eagle’s help.

Chen Wen confirmed his current position and situation.

He was on a high mountain on the Qiangtang Plateau, but he wasn’t sure of the specific name.

This mountain had a snow line, and Chen Wen was at the south slope of the east ridge.

South slope, namely the sunny slope.

It could be determined by the position of the sun.

Chen Wen’s goal was to descend below the snow line of this snowy mountain, which he had to achieve before tonight.

Otherwise, spending the night on the snowy mountain with only his gear and entries.

He wouldn’t be frozen stiff, but he would be at risk of catching a cold.

Just starting, Chen Wen didn’t want to take risks; being more cautious is better.

Chen Wen sorted his supplies, packing portable items into his backpack.

Left outside were only the exaggerated large pot and the long spear.

After securing the backpack onto himself, Chen Wen began moving.

Based on his observation, he wanted to descend from the current ridge, but action nearby wouldn’t work.

Previously, Chen Wen checked the snowy slope on the south side; about a few hundred meters away, there was a snowy slope that seemed smooth and suitable for sliding down using the pot.

Thus, Chen Wen planned to first walk to the top of that snowy slope.

...

Moving through the snow is quite torturous.

The snow was deep, making it difficult for Chen Wen to see the state beneath his feet.

Since he was walking along the ridge, if he encountered a break and stepped into thin air, he’d be finished.

So Chen Wen had to use the long spear to probe the way, which consumed a lot of his energy.

However, using the long spear to probe the way, Chen Wen avoided several dangerous areas, arriving near the snowy slope.

”Can I get down from here?”

Chen Wen looked at the surface of the snowy slope, lightly questioning himself.

In theory, this piece of snowy slope is relatively smooth, with a moderate slope and no visible protruding rocks.

It should be possible to slide down.

”Let’s give it a try.”

Chen Wen took a deep breath and whistled.

The Golden Eagle, which had been following Chen Wen, immediately flew to his side upon hearing the sound.

”You go down first, wait for me on that flat ground over there.”

Chen Wen said, pointing to the flat area at the bottom of the snowy slope.

The Golden Eagle immediately flew over.

Once the Golden Eagle had left, Chen Wen reached out and grabbed a handful of snow.

As he expected, the south slope, due to prolonged sunlight exposure and warming temperatures in May, had relatively loose snow.

Hoping there won’t be any surprises this time.

With this thought, Chen Wen decisively sat cross-legged inside the large pot.

He threaded a rope through the pot ears and tied it around his waist and abdomen.

Tying himself to the pot.

Upon completing the preparations, Chen Wen grasped the long spear, using its shaft to punch the ground like rowing a boat, pushing himself down from the top of the snowy slope.

As the pot gradually accelerated, Chen Wen’s heart also began to race.

No matter how much testing he’d done, he still felt a bit nervous during the real action.

The pot gradually picked up speed.

With Chen Wen continually using the long spear to control, the pot’s speed wasn’t too fast.

Meanwhile, the welded steel bars at the bottom of the pot helped control the speed and direction, preventing any spinning or flipping.

Looks like it could work!

Excitedly, Chen Wen thought as he wiped the snow splattered on his face.

During the descent, Chen Wen also used his perception ability to adjust directions continually.

Just when Chen Wen felt he’d smoothly slide down successfully.

While passing through what appeared to be flat snow, accompanied by a crunching sound, Chen Wen distinctly felt the pot hitting something.

That object was very solid, and the impact’s force reverberated against Chen Wen, nearly sending him flying.

Fortunately, Chen Wen reacted swiftly, using the long spear to brace the ground ahead and support his body.

The previous binding also worked perfectly.

Although Chen Wen’s body was tossed some, the pot followed along, ensuring Chen Wen wouldn’t be thrown out.

Landing stably.

Chen Wen wiped the sweat from his forehead and glanced back.

Causing him trouble was a protruding rock.

Natural snowy slopes had this particular annoyance.

Chen Wen quietly grumbled in his heart.

Despite a minor hiccup, the snowy slope did not stall him due to his planning calculated days ahead.

After less than a few minutes, Chen Wen reached the bottom of the snowy slope, stopping his body using the long spear.

”Perfect!”

Chen Wen untied the ropes and stood up from the pot.

He lifted the pot and inspected it, finding no damage.

This made Chen Wen breathe a sigh of relief, considering the collision with the rock wasn’t light!
