Wilderness Survival with Druid System

The main purpose of this meeting is to update Chen Wen on the construction progress, the subsequent long-term expenses, and exactly how much money has been spent on these buildings and facilities.

In addition, the two designers also need to share some small design details with Chen Wen.

Besides, discussions need to be held regarding the recruitment of caretakers and the procurement of food for the long-term.

Of course, these discussions are mainly between Chen Wen, Jiang Xue, and Lv Guocheng.

After getting past the pleasantries, Chen Wen got right to the point.

He first looked at the construction progress.

Theoretically, it’s already 95% complete.

A small courtyard for Chen Wen, along with eight animal shelters, takes up 50% of the flat land on the island.

Besides this, there’s still some landscaping to be completed.

Overall, the place has been constructed quite perfectly.

After reviewing the construction progress, Chen Wen signed his name on it.

Next up was the current expenditures.

Taking the contract from Lv Guocheng’s smirking hands, Chen Wen’s expression instantly turned serious.

This seriousness was akin to facing a pride of lions made entirely of males on the savanna.

”I have a premonition.”

Chen Wen looked at Lv Guocheng and said, ”Uncle, I might end up broke again!”

Beside him, Jiang Xue blushed at his words.

During the construction process, since Chen Wen had previously stated not to worry about costs, Jiang Xue had proposed many additional expenses on equipment choices and building details.

This caused the budget to increase significantly.

Upon opening the contract,

Chen Wen saw a string of numbers close to his phone number’s length and couldn’t help but take a sharp breath.

It hurt!

Seeing this, everyone gave a kind smile.

Jiang Xue’s face grew even redder.

Aside from the total amount,

there were many expenditures on details.

Chen Wen meticulously went over them, occasionally glancing at Jiang Xue as he reviewed these expenses.

This made Jiang Xue’s face as red as a ripe apple.

Lv Guocheng couldn’t stand it anymore.

He couldn’t help but say, ”Stop looking around. The money’s been spent, and it was spent wisely. You said not to care about the costs, but now you’re making our Director Jiang feel like you’ve crossed the river and demolished the bridge!”

Hearing this, Chen Wen quickly explained, ”I’m not mad about the spending! I just feel that many of Director Jiang’s ideas align with mine, and it’s worth spending on them!”

Jiang Xue’s bright red face slightly eased upon hearing this.

She softly said, ”Well, many of these ideas were inspired by you. If it were up to me, I definitely wouldn’t have thought of them. Plus, the two designers helped a lot.”

Chen Wen nodded repeatedly, enduring the heartache.

At this point, Belmont added sharply, ”It’s okay, Chen Wen. When you think about it this way, you should feel better: your money didn’t disappear, it just transformed into another form to stay by your side.”

Hearing this, Chen Wen’s mouth twitched uncontrollably.

It stung!

Oh, buddy!

Seeing that most of the expenses seemed reasonable, Chen Wen decisively closed the contract.

Couldn’t bear to look anymore!

He signed, making the subsequent payments.

Then the meeting moved on to the third item, regarding ongoing long-term expenditures.

This portion was mainly explained by Jiang Xue and the two designers to Chen Wen.

”The main future expense is equipment maintenance, but this has been contracted to Edmond. They offer fair prices and their employees are of high quality. The most important part is that they helped install a large portion of this equipment, so they are experienced.”

One designer said, ”Regarding the equipment, Mr. Chen can have a thorough discussion with Mr. Edmond.”

The other designer added, ”Another is employee salary expenses, which depend on your plans, Mr. Chen. If you need quality beast tamers and zoo staff, I have some resources to offer.”

Chen Wen nodded, indicating he would consider it.

Then he looked at Jiang Xue.

Jiang Xue said, ”Finally, there’s the investment in animal food. I think since you’re sparing no expense...”

Seeing Chen Wen’s expression stiffen, Jiang Xue hesitated but still gritted her teeth and continued, ”Then let’s be thorough: sign long-term contracts with some international food suppliers to import fresh food every quarter. Though it might be a bit pricier, the food will be fresh, giving the animals peace of mind. You could even import some live animals for the beasts to hunt, maintaining their wildness.”

Chen Wen didn’t object to this.

He nodded slightly and said, ”Sure, I also think so. We shouldn’t skimp on food, we’ll go with what you suggest!”

”Additionally, I plan to build a large cold storage on the island for food reserves. I’ll discuss this further with Edmond later.”

Hearing this, Jiang Xue’s eyes lit up.

She was getting a bit fond of this island.

Because it was built entirely according to her ideas, incorporating all of her efforts.

Every building and the arrangement of each animal shelter on the island had been overseen by Jiang Xue herself.

The luxury here felt like bringing together landscapes from all over the world.

It could accommodate diverse animals living together.

It’s nothing short of her perfect zoo.

If only she could stay on the island longer to care for those domestic animals!

Jiang Xue couldn’t help but think.

But this was, after all, Chen Wen’s private property, and she was too shy to bring it up outright.

As for the remaining expenses on electricity and water, these didn’t require further elaboration.

...

Next came some small design details.

The two designers took turns speaking, giving Chen Wen a complete understanding of the thoughtful design of this zoo.

According to the two designers, Chen Wen’s animal shelters already ranked as world-class zoos.

Because no other country, or even individual, would invest so much money and land to allow animals to live comfortably.

After completing this design, the two designers didn’t feel like designing any other zoos.

After all, after completing a masterpiece on a perfect canvas, they didn’t really want to work on lower-quality ones.

After chatting with the two designers for a while, Chen Wen saw them off.

After the designers left, only Chen Wen and his three old friends remained in the room.

”Alright, now it’s just us,”

Lv Guocheng said calmly, ”Let me share my thoughts first. Edmond can be used. Though he can be a bit cunning, the quality of his service is very good. He is also responsible, probably wanting to secure you as a long-term customer. You should consider it.”

Upon hearing this, Chen Wen nodded, ”Since Mr. Lv says so, I’ll finalize a long-term cooperation agreement with Edmond.”

Lv Guocheng nodded, ”I’ll have someone keep an eye on it for you.”

After Lv Guocheng finished speaking, he looked at Belmont, indicating it was his turn to speak.
