Wilderness Survival with Druid System

This bay crocodile attacking Chen Wen isn’t very large.

Chen Wen glanced at it, forming some thoughts about it.

After all, Chen Wen is currently lacking food, and the bay crocodile’s entry is very top-notch, just like the one encountered last time.

Therefore, Chen Wen took out the long spear, staring at this bay crocodile.

Unlike the bay crocodile encountered on the island last time, this one is noticeably smaller in size.

About four meters long, not particularly large.

Therefore, Chen Wen picked up the steel long spear, aimed at the bay crocodile’s body, triggered both [Giant Strength] and [Thorn] simultaneously, and thrust the long spear fiercely into the bay crocodile’s body.

The bay crocodile suddenly started to struggle.

Unlike freshwater crocodiles, bay crocodiles are very powerful.

As it struggled, Chen Wen decisively pulled out the long spear, dodging two meters away.

This way, he wouldn’t be affected by the bay crocodile’s rolling and struggling.

After the bay crocodile’s struggles began to subside, Chen Wen struck again with the long spear, successfully inflicting even more severe damage to it.

As the blood flowed out, the bay crocodile gradually lost the strength to struggle.

Compared to the awkwardness and panic during his first crocodile hunt, Chen Wen now can’t be said to handle it effortlessly, but he is indeed more at ease.

After wearing the bay crocodile down to death, Chen Wen carried it to the water’s edge, intending to open up the crocodile’s body and clean out its innards.

While Chen Wen was cleaning the bay crocodile,

the Screaming Kite in the high sky seemed to have found something.

It suddenly let out a cry of delight and called out to remind Chen Wen: ”Humans! I see other humans! They’re riding on something very strange!”

Humans?!

Upon hearing the Screaming Kite’s cry, Chen Wen immediately widened his eyes in surprise and delight.

He looked towards the direction indicated by the Screaming Kite, towards the river’s center.

In the middle of the river, there seemed to be three brown-skinned people sitting in a canoe, slowly paddling downstream along the river’s flow.

Hey!

There really are people!

Chen Wen was extremely excited, and just from their clothing, it was apparent that they weren’t those indigenous people who still retained hunting customs, but rather modern indigenous people who had interacted with humans.

These people should be able to provide rescue for me!

With this thought, Chen Wen immediately spread his arms and shouted for help, not even caring about the bay crocodile at his feet.

However, because the distance was too great, Chen Wen’s voice couldn’t reach them.

Seeing as they continued down the river, getting further away.

Chen Wen was anxious beyond words.

He looked at the Screaming Kite, shouting: ”Go attract their attention, make them look over here, quickly!”

As soon as the Screaming Kite flew away swiftly, Chen Wen quickly took out the lighter from his hand.

He looked around but couldn’t find suitable fuel.

However, soon, Chen Wen’s gaze fell upon the can on the wild horse’s back.

One of the beef cans had quite a bit of oil in it, and it was definitely flammable with a lighter!

Thinking this, Chen Wen quickly took the can off the horse’s back.

He quickly lit the can.

The large amount of oil caught fire from the lighter and burned rapidly.

Then, Chen Wen took some nearby shrubs and vegetation and piled them onto the can.

With the heat of the flames, the bush touching the flames dried out and then ignited.

Soon, smoke began to rise.

Standing up with the burning bush in his hand, Chen Wen thought that as long as they could look over, the smoke would definitely allow them to discover him.

And the task of making them look over was left to the Screaming Kite.

...

At this moment, the Screaming Kite flew quickly to the vicinity of the canoe.

It continuously made calls, attracting the attention of this group of people.

The plan was undoubtedly successful.

As the Screaming Kite approached, the three indigenous people paddling instinctively looked at the Screaming Kite.

”A waterbird?”

”Seems like it, ignore it, keep an eye on the surroundings. Our target might be hiding here.”

”Hiss, but why do I feel like this bird is trying to tell us something? Why is it flying in this direction constantly?”

During their discussion, one of the men unintentionally looked behind the Screaming Kite.

And that glance made him shout in surprise: ”No! Look over there, there’s smoke!”

Smoke?

The other two looked over, and they couldn’t help but exclaim as well.

”My god, there really is smoke!”

”Not only smoke, but there’s a person, can you see it? Someone seems to be waving!”

”Entering the Kimberley at this season, must be those reckless adventurers again!”

”Do we rescue him?”

”Of course we do, seeing someone in distress, how can we just watch?”

As they discussed, they quickly turned the canoe towards Chen Wen.

...

Watching the three indigenous people in the distance change direction, Chen Wen also breathed a sigh of relief, feeling incredibly excited.

The plan worked perfectly!

With the Screaming Kite, to attract their attention, and then with smoke to catch their notice.

Ultimately, he could be successfully rescued!

How many days has it been now?

Chen Wen went over in his mind to estimate his survival days, conservatively assuming it was around one hundred and thirty days, if not longer.

This survival was undoubtedly the longest one.

Placing the burning plant on the ground, Chen Wen was extremely excited.

However, seeing the bay crocodile’s carcass, Chen Wen quickly cut off a small chunk of fresh crocodile meat, saving it.

Consider the bay crocodile as my final entry!

Soon, along with the three indigenous people’s vigorous paddling, the canoe gradually approached Chen Wen.

Chen Wen shouted words of rescue in English, and the indigenous man sitting at the canoe’s bow responded in English.

The general meaning was for Chen Wen to stay alert, not to get too close to the water’s edge, and that they were coming right over.

Chen Wen also heeded their suggestion and retreated a bit.

When the canoe was about fifty meters away from Chen Wen, the indigenous man at the boat’s bow seemed to spot something. He shouted a few phrases in his dialect, and the young man rowing behind him quickly fumbled to take out a fish spear.

The two of them stared nervously at the water in front of them.

Chen Wen seemed to sense something.

He looked to where their gazes lay, which was towards the dead bay crocodile.

But after discovering these indigenous people, Chen Wen hadn’t paid much attention to the bay crocodile. At that moment, the crocodile lay in the water, with its wounds not very clear.

It looked like it was still alive.

Upon seeing this, Chen Wen quickly shouted to the indigenous people, saying the bay crocodile was safe, it was already dead, and so forth.

The indigenous people were skeptical, but upon arriving nearby, the three of them relaxed their expressions.

The indigenous man from the boat’s bow stepped onto the shore.

He warily glanced at the bay crocodile’s carcass, then looked at Chen Wen, who appeared quite odd.

Yes, quite odd indeed.

Since beginning his survival journey, Chen Wen’s skin had darkened significantly, his hair and beard were unkempt, and had grown long.

Lack of nutrition and the high intensity of traveling had also caused Chen Wen to lose a significant amount of weight.

His face even appeared somewhat gaunt.

Therefore, in the eyes of these indigenous people, Chen Wen looked like a wild man, which somewhat frightened them.

Yet these were no ordinary people. The indigenous man who spoke English asked: ”What is your identity? Why are you here?”

Chen Wen promptly responded in English: ”I am a stranded adventurer, trying to find a way out.”

The indigenous man nodded slightly, but soon his attention was captured by something else.
