Wilderness Survival with Druid System

After a few more days, Chen Wen led the animals onto the island.

Upon seeing the towering eight animal houses here.

The animals were so surprised that they couldn’t close their mouths.

Swamp Animal House.

The bay crocodile now had companions—hippos and wild boars became its new neighbors.

These two were genuinely startled upon seeing the bay crocodile.

After all, they were seeing such a large crocodile for the first time.

But as they realized they could understand each other’s language, everything turned harmonious.

Especially the hippo.

Its appearance lounging in the swamp made the bay crocodile feel a sense of camaraderie.

The two animals immediately became good brothers who talked about everything.

Desert Animal House.

The bobcat and Jixiao came here.

Seeing the familiar environment, both were extremely excited.

Especially Jixiao.

After seeing the hole Chen Wen dug in the giant saguaro cactus over the past few days, Jixiao immediately moved in.

”Wow! I’m home, I’m home!”

Jixiao said excitedly, ”This is exactly like my old home! Human, how did you do it?”

Upon hearing this, Chen Wen calmly replied, ”I dug it for you.”

Jixiao excitedly flew to Chen Wen’s shoulder, its soft fur continually brushing against Chen Wen’s body: ”You’re so good! So good!”

Temperate Forest Animal House.

This place also welcomed a large group of new residents.

Golden Eagle, Canadian lynx, Snowy Owl, Northeast Tiger Da Ju, Wolf Mink, Red Fox, Old Wolf, Short-tailed Weasel, Moose...

The animals that Chen Wen tamed while surviving in the Yukon Territory and Great Slave Lake all unanimously chose this place.

The environment here, according to Wolf Mink, was: ”It’s exactly like the place we stayed before, except there are no prey!”

Considering the need for animals to change environments in winter, Chen Wen also took them to the High Latitude Polar Animal House.

But regarding this cold animal house.

Except for the Snowy Owl showing some interest, the other animals urged Chen Wen to leave as soon as they entered.

And with the Snowy Owl and Golden Eagle already inseparable, it could only occasionally fly into this animal house to enjoy it.

Highland Animal House.

This place is temporarily vacant.

Prairie Animal House, this place has become a paradise for the leopard brothers.

Since Boss Leopard is not a special animal, Chen Wen had its shrewd younger brother look after it.

The leopard brothers are quite fond of the environment here.

Moreover, the long-term zoo life is bearable for other animals, but it was somewhat stifling for them.

Leopard the Second told Chen Wen that he hasn’t had a good run in a long time.

After settling the leopard brothers.

Chen Wen came to the Rainforest Animal House.

The animals tamed in Ailao Mountain have all gathered here for now.

The Horned Bee-eater and Clouded Leopard occupied the canopy layer, the Yellow-throated Mink occupied the ground.

As soon as Chen Wen entered, the Yellow-throated Mink scampered onto Chen Wen’s shoulder, letting out the familiar arrogant laugh Chen Wen was used to: ”Ha ha ha! Human, you really kept your promise! This place is perfect!”

Having said that, the slightly pudgy Yellow-throated Mink shouted a few times towards the higher place.

Soon after, the severely injured Clouded Leopard from before dashed down from the canopy layer along the tree trunk.

Yes, it ran down.

This guy got the most selections from Chen Wen, and all were agility and reaction enhancements.

Combined with its natural speed and unique skeletal structure.

The Clouded Leopard could perform all kinds of gravity-defying actions on trees, making Newton’s coffin lid fly off.

Holding the Clouded Leopard, Chen Wen subtly tugged at the corner of his mouth.

Goodness, this little guy’s gained quite a bit of weight!

Holding it feels quite substantial!

Gotta say, Jiang Xue’s zoo, such a good place!

The Clouded Leopard affectionately licked Chen Wen’s chin frenetically with its tongue.

With plenty of selections, Chen Wen didn’t mind; he patted the Clouded Leopard’s head.

When they left Ailao Mountain, the Clouded Leopard was still severely injured.

Back then, veterinarians even assessed that there might be lasting aftereffects.

But after such a long period of recovery, the Clouded Leopard has been fully revitalized.

And there is not a trace of aftereffects.

”Alright, alright, you’re fine as well.”

Chen Wen put down the Clouded Leopard, and the Horned Bee-eater descended as well.

It affectionately rubbed against Chen Wen too, then described how perfect this place was.

Chen Wen listened with a smile, meanwhile placing the Horned Bee-eater on his shoulder.

At this moment, Chen Wen had completely put the matter of spending money behind him.

As long as the animals are living comfortably, even if it costs a fortune, he’s satisfied!

The expenses were worth it!

After settling the animals, Chen Wen stably lived on the island for several days.

Meanwhile, waiting for Jiang Xue to hand over her zoo to a new manager.

During these days, Jiang Xue also made a tough decision.

She decided to give up her previous zoo.

The previous zoo, she decided to donate back to the Animal Protection Association, allowing them to staff it.

Due to ’big client’ Chen Wen taking the animals away from the zoo, the zoo is now nearly empty, leaving less than ten animals.

Due to Chen Wen’s promotion, and the success of the zoo live streams.

More and more zoos were now willing to accept animals that, due to accidents, lost their ability to survive in the wild.

Hence, Jiang Xue’s zoo hadn’t welcomed new clients in a long while.

So after Chen Wen took the animals away, even taking Da Ju with him.

Jiang Xue also decided to let go.

She took one last look at the place where she grew up, holding back the sadness of parting, she instructed a caretaker who came to pick her up to start the car.

The past will inevitably pass, and a new life is just beginning.

Jiang Xue thought to herself.

...

As Jiang Xue arrived at the island, Chen Wen’s recruitment officially began.

He reviewed the personnel files that Jiang Xue had provided, which had passed the first round of review, and he was very pleased.

The least qualified caretaker here had a bachelor’s degree and five years of foraging experience.

These files were very detailed, besides basic conditions like education, gender, age, and health.

They also specified each caretaker’s character traits and suitable recommended positions.

Take this caretaker, for example.

Jiang Xue marked her character: bold, strong, proficient in handling large animals, two years of experience with moose, and around three years with hippos.

With a little training, she could take on the position of chief caretaker of the Swamp Animal House and manage the hippos.

Since Jiang Xue herself is a woman, many of the caretakers she recruited this time were women.

Being male or female, Chen Wen didn’t mind.

The most important thing is to be friendly to animals and have rich experience.

Yet, through his observation these days, Chen Wen found that women tended to perform better in details than men.

Just like with his team of senior service staff.

The female staff always managed to nail every detail, making Chen Wen very satisfied.

Therefore, he decisively re-signed the contract with the high-end servant service provider, hiring a batch of female security personnel.

After all, the island is secluded offshore, and safety needs attention too.
