A completely black wild horse slowly walked toward Chen Wen.

Chen Wen quickly assessed the horse; it was male, strong and sturdy, likely the leader of the herd.

Such a horse is bold and temperamental, not easily tamed.

However, Chen Wen needed it to lead other horses closer, so he showed a welcoming gesture.

As the wild horse approached Chen Wen, it lowered its head, opened its mouth, flicked its tongue, and skillfully rolled the food before it into its mouth.

When the horse bit into the plant leaves, the sweetness of the corn kernels instantly exploded in its mouth.

The wild horse was bewildered.

In all its years, it had never tasted anything so sweet!

The wild horse flared its nostrils, its ears perked up, occasionally twitching.

It was very excited.

Chen Wen keenly observed this change; he realized the horse had entered an excited state.

So, Chen Wen tentatively reached out his hand, intending to touch the wild horse.

However, upon seeing Chen Wen’s movement, the wild horse immediately became alert, its ears stiffly forward.

The alertness of stallions was indeed too high!

Seeing this, Chen Wen slowly withdrew his hand, slightly helpless.

Nevertheless, as the wild horse devoured the sweet corn kernels, the other horses also let down their guard and approached.

Chen Wen decisively set his sights on the slightly smaller female horses.

With one hand, he used a branch to hold a can, raising it up, and the other hand was raised in the air, motionless, applying no pressure on the horses.

The horses’ wariness and resistance toward Chen Wen were greatly reduced compared to the beginning.

Upon seeing Chen Wen’s actions, they didn’t show excessive resistance.

In fact, one seemingly gentle mare even pushed its companions aside, taking a few steps toward Chen Wen for the food in his hand.

Seeing the mare’s action, Chen Wen immediately fixed his target!

You’re the one!

Greedy and bold, yet a little mare.

The difficulty of taming is much less than those stallions!

As this little mare continued to approach, Chen Wen also prepared to make contact.

Soon, the little mare stood beside Chen Wen.

It opened its mouth, reaching for the corn kernels in Chen Wen’s hand.

”Hey, I can’t let you just eat it up like that.”

Chen Wen murmured quietly, reaching to touch the little mare near its neck.

Upon feeling Chen Wen’s movement, the little mare immediately withdrew its head.

It was like a housewife in a certain island film being teased by her husband’s boss, quickly pulling away.

But Chen Wen wasn’t about to give up his target so easily.

He raised the corn kernels in his other hand, gently shaking them before him.

The temptation of the corn kernels made the greedy little mare come closer again.

This time, Chen Wen reached out beforehand, providing the mare with a buffer to adapt.

Allowing it to get used to the presence of his hand.

Noticing Chen Wen’s action, the little mare hesitated for a moment.

But the buffer was effective, and it stretched its head toward the kernels as if resigning itself to its fate.

This scene was like the same kind of island movie, where the housewife has no choice but to submit under her boss’s threats about her husband losing his job.

Chen Wen finally succeeded!

His hand softly stroked the little mare’s smooth coat, coming in contact with its skin.

The wild horse’s skin was quite resilient.

Feeling the elasticity, Chen Wen gently said, ”Easy, there’s more where that came from.”

He quietly spoke, observing the mare’s state.

Seeing its ears perked in a relaxed manner, Chen Wen sighed in relief.

His plan was more than halfway successful!

To reward the greedy yet obedient mare, Chen Wen placed the remaining corn kernels into his hand, allowing the little mare to eat with its teeth and tongue.

After the corn kernels were fed, Chen Wen casually brushed his hand against the little mare’s body.

And the other horses, having finished the corn kernels, began to leave Chen Wen’s side.

However, as the little mare left, it turned back frequently, reluctant to part.

After all, the food it got from Chen Wen was the most it ever had in its life.

Chen Wen watched the mare leave, unhurried.

The wild horse’s temper was fiery; taming them was not a day’s work.

...

The next day, Chen Wen did not continue moving forward.

After a breakfast of grilled carp, he took the remaining corn kernels and corned cans in search of yesterday’s wild horse herd.

This herd had no plans of migrating.

Therefore, they remained where Chen Wen had seen them the day before.

As soon as Chen Wen arrived, the wild horse herd noticed his presence.

However, their attitude showed a clear turnaround; although not a complete 180 degrees, it was certainly 90 degrees.

No longer did the herd exhibit extreme tension and vigilance.

On the contrary, they only glanced briefly at Chen Wen before turning their attention to the corn kernels he held.

These raw corn kernels were no longer disregarded in their eyes.

On the contrary, in the horses’ perception, the feeling when it reached their mouths was summed up in two words—intoxicating!

Especially the mare that had eaten the most corn kernels; it sprang up from the ground, ignoring the position of its companions, prancing toward Chen Wen.

Seeing this, Chen Wen was delighted.

He opened a can and retrieved some corn kernels, placing them in his palm.

As the mare approached, Chen Wen immediately displayed the kernels in his palm, enticing it closer.

But when it was close enough, Chen Wen didn’t let it eat immediately.

He reached out, gently stroking the mare’s neck several times, confirming there was no resistance or discomfort, and only then extended his hand.

The little mare quickly stretched its head, eagerly munching the corn kernels.

This was Chen Wen’s final move in taming the mare, his ultimate trick — forming a positive conditional response!

As long as the mare realized that eating corn kernels required listening to Chen Wen, or even following him, would it be fully tamed and become considerable support for Chen Wen.

This was the correct way to tame.

Conversely.

If it were just about feeding, the little mare wouldn’t associate the food with Chen Wen.

Such taming was flawed.

After the mare ate the first mouthful of corn kernels, Chen Wen mixed raw kernels with the canned ones and retreated.

The mare hesitated for a moment.

Seemingly torn between food and its group.

But as Chen Wen held out the kernels once more, the dilemma lost its meaning.

Like a completely submissive housewife, the mare honestly followed Chen Wen.
