Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 800: Chapter 799: Let’s Make a Deal.........

With Rea’s appearance, the previously invincible purple-haired girl finally met her match.

The purple-haired girl wielded a katana and excelled at slashing.

Rea, on the other hand, used a Western sword, which was more for piercing strikes.

In terms of swordsmanship skills, both were quite competent, and their physical prowess was on a similar level. Therefore, the fight quickly turned into a fiery and fierce exchange, looking like a movie fight scene complete with cheap effects. The others were all dumbfounded, not knowing how to react.

”That little girl is actually so strong...”

Watching Rea go toe-to-toe with the purple-haired girl, the blonde zombie couldn’t help but mutter to herself. In life, she had been part of the infamous biker gang that dominated Kyushu, but at the end of the day, she was just a delinquent girl. Perhaps she knew her way around a group brawl with a crowbar or a baseball bat, but against a true master of the sword, the gap between a professional and a thug was clear.

Walnut was slightly better off; her ”Shovel Technique” was a practical method she had developed while fighting zombies after the disaster started. However, because of its unorthodox nature, she still had a tough time dealing with the purple-haired woman.

But the battle between Rea and the purple-haired woman was evidently different.

”Clang, clang, clang...!!”

Amid a series of weapon clashes, both fighters were continuously dodging, blocking, counterattacking, and advancing on the streets. Since both were zombies, attacking vital spots was meaningless. Thus, they both focused on incapacitating each other.

The purple-haired woman swung her long sword, trying to cut off Rea’s limbs time after time. Rea, with a Western sword in hand, launched assaults on the katana. But for the time being, they were evenly matched. Both specialized in swordsmanship and were well aware of each other’s objectives. Under these circumstances, ending the fight quickly was clearly impossible.

”Hey, Little Saki, what do we do now?”

Staring blankly at their fight, Little Zombie blinked her eyes and turned to the blonde zombie beside her.

”Are we leaving? If Umbrella finds us now, we really won’t be able to escape.”

”Leave? Have you not heard what that girl said about knowing where Little Sakura and the others are? Joking aside, how can we leave now? Even if we do leave, we have to take everyone with us!”

”But over there...”

”Ah, what does that matter? She attacked us first. Why follow any rules with someone like her? Let’s go at her together!!”

Having said that, the blonde zombie, too, brandished her crowbar with fierce determination and charged forward. On the other side, Walnut hesitated for a moment but then quickly grabbed her shovel and joined the battle.

With the addition of the two, the purple-haired woman began to falter.

Logically, if weak fighters forced their way into a battle, it would only disrupt the rhythm, but the four brawlers were all zombies, fearless of death, unaffected by being slashed or stabbed.

Using her undying body, the blonde zombie kept hounding the purple-haired woman with relentless attacks, while Walnut circled around, seizing every opportunity to deliver fierce blows.

Under the trio’s onslaught, the purple-haired woman began to look flustered. If it were just Walnut and the blonde zombie, she could have managed easily, but Rea was watching her intently, ready to strike with her Western sword the moment she showed any slack, trying to knock the weapon out of her hands.

Under these circumstances, the purple-haired woman was like a boss that a tank had locked aggression on and couldn’t switch targets even if she wanted to.

However, it turned out to be futile.

”Swoosh!!”

The purple-haired woman’s katana swung out again, but the blonde zombie didn’t dodge or avoid, charging straight in, attempting to grab her. Sensing the blonde zombie’s move, the purple-haired woman hastily retreated, trying to put some distance between them.

”Haah...!!”

However, at that moment, Walnut roared and swung her shovel at the purple-haired woman. The heavy iron shovel struck her from behind, halting her movements. At the same time, Rea’s Western sword struck out like a venomous snake!!

”Clang!!”

With a crisp sound, the katana flew out of the purple-haired woman’s hands. Simultaneously, the blonde zombie raised her crowbar and swung it hard.

”Die, you!!”

”Bang!!”

The crowbar struck the purple-haired woman’s face squarely, twisting her head 180 degrees. She staggered, then fell to the ground motionless.

”Whew...”

It was only then that the three exhaled in relief. The blonde zombie glanced at the purple-haired woman lying before her, then gestured with her hand.

”Quick, let’s go! If we’re any later, we won’t be able to escape...”

”Rumble, rumble, rumble, rumble...”

```
However, before she could finish her words, accompanied by the roar of engines, dozens of tanks and armored vehicles suddenly appeared from all directions at the intersection, blocking their way. At the same time, several armed helicopters also emerged from nowhere, completely encircling the group.
”Tch... I knew it...”
Looking at the dark muzzles surrounding them, the blonde zombie spat and tightened her grip on the crowbar, while the others instinctively huddled together.
”What do we do now?”
Seeing the cold war machines around them and the helicopters circling overhead, Sakurazawa Shizu and her companions were on the verge of tears. In their eyes, although this sudden reinforcement was impressive, there was no way they could be a match for these weapons, not to mention the soldiers aiming their guns at them!
”Don’t worry, Sister Ci, Sister Lii.”
Seeing this scene, Walnut was also somewhat troubled.
”This is really troublesome... Little sister Natsuse, what do we do now?”
”Huh?”
It was only at this moment that everyone realized that standing beside them was a girl with blonde hair, an indifferent expression, and looking no more than ten years old. At Walnut’s question, the little girl simply nodded.
”Don’t worry, Brother Fang Zheng already knows our situation here, he told us to wait and see...”
In fact, those who came here for the rescue mission were only Natsuse, Walnut, and Rea. Since Fang Zheng had gone to the Western Mansion to scout, he had casually sent the three of them here for the rescue mission after getting the address from the Hive. Walnut had only intended to try her luck to see if she could find the person she was looking for. Unexpectedly... her luck was indeed good.
Or rather, not so good.
”Wait and see, huh...”
Watching the slow advance of the steel torrent from all directions, Walnut couldn’t help but let out a wry smile.
Under such circumstances, it seemed she had no choice but to wait and see.
Just as the group found themselves completely surrounded by the Umbrella Army, suddenly a man’s voice came through a loudspeaker on one of the armored vehicles.
”Ladies, resistance is futile. Please put down your weapons and surrender.”
”In your dreams, who’s going to surrender!!”
The blonde zombie was clearly unwilling to go down without a fight. She swung her crowbar and yelled back at the armored vehicle.
”Come and try, I’ll bust your head open!!”
”......”
Hearing what the blonde zombie said, the voice paused for a moment, then spoke again.
”If that’s the case, then how about we make a deal?”
”A deal?”
”Yes. The lady in the white dress... yes, you. Would you be willing to join Umbrella? If you do, as a condition of exchange, we would let the others go. What do you think of this proposal?”
”Huh?”
Upon hearing this, everyone was stunned, and Rea looked utterly incredulous.
”...Me?”
”That’s right, if you agree, I will immediately let the others go, and guarantee we won’t pursue them anymore... This exchange condition should be quite favorable, right?”
”But... why me?”
Rea couldn’t understand why she was the target.
”Quite simple...”
While speaking, everyone saw the door of the armored vehicle slowly open, and then, protected by a group of fully armed soldiers, Wisteria walked out with a smile, looking towards Rea, before opening his arms.
”Because... you are our comrade.”
”...Huh?”
