Chapter 796: Chapter 795: The So-Called Three Episode Rule...

”Ugh...”

Lying on the cold floor, the girl with twin ponytails slowly opened her eyes and looked around, only to see darkness everywhere.

”Where is this... What on earth...”

She murmured to herself and sat up, shaking her head, which still ached faintly.

”Right, before we were... captured by Umbrella’s people... Where is this?!”

Her previously blurry memory gradually became clearer, and then, with a start, she stood up and looked around. At the same time, two other people lying nearby slowly came to.

”Ugh... My head hurts...”

”What’s going on...”

”Rei! Miss Shizuka!”

The girl with twin ponytails also hurriedly went over to them and helped them both up.

”Are you both alright!”

”Yeah... Where are we?”

”What exactly happened?”

”I don’t know.”

Faced with their questions, the girl with twin ponytails shook her head.

”I only remember that we were captured by Umbrella’s soldiers to threaten Takashi, and then...”

”Click!”

Before she could finish speaking, the pitch-black space suddenly lit up. The sudden brightness made all three instinctively raise their hands to shield their eyes. Then they heard footsteps approaching, followed by a man’s voice echoing around them.

”Oh my, I truly didn’t expect to see the three of you here.”

”This voice...”

Hearing the man’s voice, another girl with long blonde hair suddenly opened her eyes wide and looked in the direction the voice came from. Then her expression changed drastically!

”Wisteria!!”

She roared and charged at the man, her right fist clenched, swinging at his face. But before her punch could hit him, it smashed into a transparent bulletproof glass panel with a ”bang” right in front of the man. Only then did they all realize they were trapped in a glass cage. Despite this, the blonde girl still glared at the man fiercely, her teeth gritted with rage.

”You bastard... How dare you show your face in front of me! ”

”Ah, if it isn’t Miss Rei Miyamoto.”

Seeing the expression on the blonde girl’s face, the man referred to as Wisteria, who looked like a white-collar elite, loosened his tie and revealed a smug smile.

”I truly didn’t expect you were still alive... ”

”How are you here!?”

”Don’t you know just by looking?”

As he spoke, Wisteria opened his arms, showing off the red and white Umbrella emblem on his chest. Seeing this symbol, the blonde girl’s expression turned even darker.

”You... You’ve sided with Umbrella?”

”No, no, no, you’ve got it all wrong, Miss Miyamoto.”

Upon hearing Rei’s response, Wisteria chuckled and shook his finger.

”I didn’t ’side’ with Umbrella because I’ve already been an employee of Umbrella... Does that make it clear to you?”

”What... What?!”

Upon hearing this, all three of them were shocked, even the mature-looking woman in the white lab coat couldn’t help but stare in surprise at the man before her.

”Does that mean...”

”That’s right, just as you think, Miss Kugawa.”

Pleased with the expressions on their faces, Wisteria smirked triumphantly.

”I was the one who released the virus at Fujimi Academy. Ah... that was an absolutely unforgettable, delightful scene. Although I’ve conducted countless experiments, to actually see this world step towards destruction... It’s just too good...”

”Ah... Ahh...”

Looking at Wisteria’s distorted smiling face, the girl with twin ponytails couldn’t help but step back and sat down abruptly on the floor. The other two were equally astonished. The blonde-haired girl clenched her fists tightly, glaring at him fiercely.

”You bastard... My father won’t let you get away with this!”

”Your father... Ah, speaking of him, there was such a joker, but alas, what can he do now?”

With open arms, Wisteria looked at the blonde girl triumphantly.

”Now the world’s former order has been destroyed, states, governments, everything has been finished! And we, Umbrella, will become the rulers of the new world! Your father is nothing but an ant before Umbrella. He tried everything in his power to obstruct our plans, but sadly, it was just like trying to stop a car with one’s arm, utterly overestimating his capabilities.”

”You... you...”

”Enough, I didn’t come here to spout nonsense with you.”

Wisteria lowered his hands, looking towards the three people.

”So, Saya Takagi, Rei Miyamoto, Teacher Shizuka Kugawa, I will give you a chance to choose... If you are willing to kneel at my feet and become my slaves, then I will consider sparing your lives. How about that?”

”You... despicable! Takashi has already made an arrangement with Umbrella, as long as he works for Umbrella, they promised to release us!”

Upon hearing this, the girl with the twin ponytails couldn’t help but shriek and yell out, while Wisteria simply shrugged his shoulders.

”Unfortunately, Takashi Komuro’s actions did not satisfy Umbrella... So... I’m sorry, the deal is off. If you are not willing, then...”

While speaking, Wisteria stretched out his hand and snapped his fingers.

”Creak————”

Very soon, the next moment, the three saw their ”glass cage” being hoisted up, slowly rising into the air, moving towards another side. There, a massive city model awaited them, and not only that, at the entrance of the model city, there was a huge iron cage filled with tens of thousands of zombies wandering and wailing, emitting terrifying sounds.

”If you don’t agree, then you’ll have to participate in the next ’hide and seek’ game. As long as you can escape the pursuit of zombies in this city and find the exit, you can leave here safely. But... with just the three of you, can you do it?”

”In your dreams!!”

Facing Wisteria’s smug smile, the blonde girl roared angrily.

”I would rather die than submit to you!”

”...I figured as much. What about the two of you?”

Wisteria seemed unsurprised by the blonde girl’s answer as he shrugged his shoulders, then turned to look at the other two. Faced with Wisteria’s question, the two exchanged glances, then shook their heads.

”Your type of despicable and ugly man is definitely not my type!”

”Sorry, but I have no interest in you either.”

”...I see.”

Upon hearing their answers, Wisteria’s smile stiffened slightly.

”Since that’s the case, after you turn into zombies, I’ll come find you to ’chat’ properly.”

After saying that, Wisteria moved to the control panel nearby, protected by two Soldiers, and then he stretched out his hand and pressed the red button.

”Beep... beep...”

Accompanied by alarm sounds, several glass cages just like the one the twin ponytails was in were transported from all around, then placed in twos and threes onto the streets and plazas of this ”city.” Soon, everything returned to calm again, and except for the glass cages, everything around looked quite normal, as if it were a real city.

The next moment, the previously sealed cell doors suddenly opened.

”This, this is...”

Seeing the cell doors in front of them open, the three hesitated for a moment, then slowly walked out. The street they were on was deserted, as if it had been abandoned. Then, the next moment, they clearly heard noisy and chaotic sounds coming from afar. They turned their heads to look back, then their faces instantly turned pale!

”Run!!”

At the end of the street behind the three, countless zombies were screaming madly as they lunged toward them, like a pack of frenzied, red-eyed wolves charging at their prey!!

”Go, go, get out of here!!”

Seeing the large group of zombies, the three were terrified, and they quickly turned around and ran desperately forward.

Even though they were pushing beyond their usual speed out of fear and the desire to survive, the zombies were much faster than they were. And not only that...

”Ah!!”

Accompanied by a scream, the woman in the white lab coat among them screamed and fell to the ground. Seeing this, the other two were shocked.

”Teacher Shizuka!!”

”Don’t mind me, go, don’t... aaaahhh!!”

However, before she could finish speaking, a zombie pounced on the woman, biting down on her neck, tearing off her flesh. The intense pain made the woman scream. At the same time, other zombies, like sharks smelling blood, quickly swarmed over, engulfing the woman within them. It wasn’t long before her screams were completely drowned out by the roars of the zombies...

”Run!!”

”Yeah!!”

Seeing their teacher die like that, the two were deeply saddened, but even so, they did not slow down and continued to sprint forward. Quickly, they reached the end of the street corner, when the twin ponytails seemed to think of something and turned to run in another direction.

”Let’s go this way; we can circumvent...”

”Splurt.”

Just then, a flash of sword light suddenly appeared, and the next moment the twin ponytails’ head flew into the air, followed by blood spattering onto the ground. Her body took a couple of more steps forward before falling to the ground.

”Saya!!”

Seeing this scene unfold before her, the blonde girl screamed, but as she clearly saw who had killed her companion, the blonde girl froze in place.

”How... it’s you?!”
