Chapter 784: Chapter 783 But You Guys Are Just a Bunch of Younger Brothers...

”Attack!”

As soon as Fang Zheng’s voice fell, Little Hei by his side leaped into action, kicking a soldier next to her in the chest. The tall and burly soldier had not anticipated that the girl, who appeared to be less than half his height, would suddenly strike. Caught off guard, he was directly hit by Little Hei and screamed as he was sent flying.

At the same moment, Little Hei grabbed a pistol pulled from the soldier’s belt and pulled the trigger at an enemy nearby!

”Bang, bang, bang!!”

With the sounds of gunfire, one after another heavily armed soldier fell to the ground. Although they were nearly completely covered in armor, Little Hei’s rank was ARCHER. Any projectile was easy for her to handle, let alone a mere pistol!

The entire process was almost over in the blink of an eye. From the moment Little Hei smoothly snatched the pistol from the soldier’s waist and kicked him away, to using the recoil to perform a 180-degree midair somersault and shoot, this series of complex movements happened almost in a flash. When Little Hei landed again, the pistol in her hand was already empty, with the smoking magazine clattering to the ground. Only then did the soldiers surrounding Little Hei and Fang Zheng fall down like puppets, wobbling to the ground.

”Attack! Attack!!”

Seeing this scene, even the other soldiers around were dumbstruck, but soon they reacted immediately.

”Attack! Kill them! The target’s danger rank increa...”

But the leading soldier didn’t even finish speaking.

As Fang Zheng lightly flicked his right hand, in the dim warehouse, the soldiers saw a dazzling burst of silver light like fireworks suddenly exploding. Countless ”fireworks” streaked through their bodies like phantoms, and then, as if watching a film in reverse, the scattered ”fireworks” refluxed and contracted. As Radiance flashed by, the Pitch Black Greatsword in Fang Zheng’s hand returned to its original form.

Meanwhile, those soldiers stood frozen in place, still holding their guns aimed and changing magazines, resembling a group of wax figures.

Soon, streaks of blood gradually emerged on their bodies, and with blood splattering, those fully armed, swaggering soldiers had turned into nothing but cold corpses.

Fang Zheng stretched out his hand and casually took off the helmets of a few soldiers fallen in front of him, looking at the identical faces inside, shrugged nonchalantly.

”As expected, clones, I guessed it would be so.”

Fang Zheng wasn’t surprised that Umbrella used clones as soldiers. After all, if you think about it, everything Umbrella did was extremely morally corrupt. Let’s just assume there really is a group of people willing to die for them. But with Umbrella’s institutions all over the world, from employees to army soldiers amounting to several hundred thousand, could it be that none of them had a conscience, simply watching Umbrella harm the world?

Now the answer to the question had come out; obviously, Umbrella’s special armed forces were made up of clones. After all, compared to ordinary people, clones were easier to control. And as long as they were properly managed, there was no worry about them rebelling or betraying; they could be disposed of directly once they served their purpose.

It seems Umbrella in this world, still has some brains.

With such thoughts in mind, Fang Zheng raised his sword and cut through the large net entangling Rea and Walnut, pulling them out from it.

”Are you guys all right?”

”N-no, we’re fine. Thank you, Mr. Fang Zheng...”

At this moment, Rea was still visibly panicked, appearing to have not yet recovered from the previous attack, while Walnut looked pale, staring in astonishment at the bodies lying on the ground.

”Who are they? Why did they attack us? Is it because we are zombies?”

”No, I think the situation is not that simple.”

In response to Walnut’s question, Fang Zheng shook his head. He bent down and looked at a clone trooper lying next to him, his eyes wide open with an unwilling look. But Fang Zheng could feel that at this moment, this soldier was ”watching” him.

Meanwhile, in a mysterious and enclosed space, a group of men in suits were seriously watching the screen in front of them—specifically, Fang Zheng and the others on the screen.

”Alpha Squad has been wiped out!”

”I did not expect these people to be so powerful!”

”Did you see that? They could actually defend against bullets with their bare hands? What kind of power is this?”

”It seems they are not just ordinary survivors; we must make changes to the plan!”

”There’s no need for that.”

Amid the chaos, a man wearing sunglasses and a black trench coat stood up, interrupting the other’s debate. He raised his head and stared at the screen in front of him, the corners of his mouth slightly curled.

”Everything is as we expected, and now it seems they are the perfect specimens, we must capture them at all costs, dead or alive... Activate the awakening plan, I want to see what kind of power these people possess.”

”Yes.”

Upon hearing Sunglasses Man’s orders, a researcher clad in white nodded, then turned to the keyboard and typed a few times. Soon, a system notification appeared on the screen— ”Awakening Plan Activated.”

”Bang! Bang! Bang!”

Fang Zheng looked up toward the direction of the explosions, only to see the previously haphazardly stacked containers around him, each door being blasted open one by one, and then, accompanied by deep, beastly roars, large figures emerged slowly but steadily from the containers.

”What, what is this...?”

Watching the shadows emerge from the containers, Walnut and Rea were stunned; these shadows were not unfamiliar to them, as they were all various types of secondarily mutated zombies, including Tyrants, TANKs, and even Lickers!

However, unlike those ”wild monsters,” these creatures’ outfits and the weapons they carried revealed that these mutated monsters were not here by accident; rather, they were being ”bred.”

”Mr. Fang Zheng, what do we do now?”

At this moment, Fang Zheng and his group were completely surrounded by these modified mutant creatures, with no less than a hundred in number. It was unknown how the Umbrella Corporation controlled these mutant creatures, as they did not fight each other like the monsters elsewhere. Instead, they acted as a collective, slowly advancing towards Fang Zheng and his party as their target.

Upon seeing this, the faces of Walnut and Rea turned pale white. If it were one or two mutant creatures, they might muster the courage to fight. But now, with hundreds facing them, even if they exerted all their strength, they likely stood no chance against these mutant creatures!

However, to the girls’ surprise, seeing these fierce monsters before him, Fang Zheng merely sighed in resignation.

”Is this it? It seems the Umbrella Corporation really has no new tricks.”

”Mr. Fang Zheng?”

”Don’t worry.”

Hearing Rea’s cry, Fang Zheng squinted, giving the mutant creatures in front of him a look that was both mocking and amused.

”Leave it to me to handle.”

Meanwhile, in that sealed, mysterious space, Sunglasses Man also watched the screen triumphantly.

”Alright, heroes, let me take a good look at your power... Hmm? What is this...?”

As Sunglasses Man eagerly awaited the spectacle, suddenly, something completely unexpected occurred.

The mutant creatures that had just been menacingly advancing on Fang Zheng and his group suddenly began to tremble violently, even starting to retreat!

”What’s happening? What exactly is going on?”

Seeing massive figures like Tyrants and TANKs tremble and back away, Sunglasses Man snatched off his sunglasses, staring furiously at the screen.

”What the hell is going on? Immediately examine the Tyrant’s neural circuits in the brain, inject the berserk serum, attack! Attack now!”

”Serum injected, but the host still does not act... they are... afraid!”

”Afraid?!!”

Hearing the researcher’s report, Sunglasses Man was at a loss. These mutant zombies weren’t supposed to possess many fearsome traits, especially not Tyrants and TANKs, which were near devoid of fear. But now... they were actually afraid? What exactly are they afraid of?!

Humph, that’s all there is to it. Watching the trembling, retreating horde of mutant zombies, Fang Zheng’s mouth slightly curled. Indeed, mutant zombies might be terrifying to humans, but unfortunately... he was not merely a human. Dragon Might held sway over all beings of lower rank than itself, be it human or zombie.

In his presence, they were nothing more than a bunch of lowly beings.
