Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 790: Chapter 789 The rabbit will bite when it’s anxious!

Carrying the noisy Junko, the other two zombie girls simply followed behind Fang Zheng and the rest, heading toward the exit where the elevator was located. But compared to when they arrived, leaving now was not so easy.

Although Fang Zheng had sealed all the passageways, the Umbrella soldiers still managed to find a way into the armory. After arming themselves, they rushed over in an attempt to stop Fang Zheng and his companions from leaving. For a while, bullets flew wildly, and the sound of gunfire was everywhere. It was sort of like a Hollywood blockbuster shootout.

However, Fang Zheng was in no mood to play along with them, after all, even if he cooperated, he wouldn’t get a Little Golden Man. So, he simply charged forward without a care, directly blocking bullets aimed at them. As for those trying to sneak attack from behind, Little Hei and Tina took them out with a single shot.

”You’re a group, right? I remember there were seven of you?”

As he led everyone toward the exit, Fang Zheng turned to Minamoto Sakura, who was carrying a pair of legs, and asked. Minamoto Sakura nodded in response.

”Yes, but the others were led away by Little Saki to escape! They weren’t captured... ahhhhhh!”

However, before Minamoto Sakura could finish, a series of gunshots suddenly rang out, causing her to involuntarily shrink back.

”What a hassle.”

Looking at the soldiers in the distant corridor holding guns and shooting in their direction, Fang Zheng frowned slightly. Then, with a wave of his hand, the soldiers were sent flying back, landing motionlessly at the end of the corridor. But at the same time, the sound of urgent footsteps came from all around them again.

”Big brother, it seems like we’re surrounded!”

”Don’t worry.”

Hearing Little Hei’s warning, Fang Zheng shook his head. The reason he didn’t act immediately earlier was that he didn’t know how many targets in the facility required his rescue. Now, it seemed that the only ones imprisoned here were these three zombie girls, so naturally, there was no need for him to be constrained any longer.

With that thought, Fang Zheng reached out to access his personal terminal and lightly tapped on it.

”Hurry, hurry, hurry to the transport elevator. We must absolutely prevent the target from leaving! Get the tear gas and poison gas bombs ready!!”

At this moment, the Hive soldiers were also quickly approaching Fang Zheng and his party. They really had no other choice. The enemy’s ability to hack the mainframe was much stronger than theirs; Umbrella’s researchers had been busy for a while but were unable to even open the Daimon, jumping with urgency. Besides using a swarm tactic to stop Fang Zheng and the others, they had no better strategy.

”Beep... Beep...!!”

As these soldiers hurriedly rushed to the target location, suddenly, a series of urgent alarm bells sounded, followed by a cold electronic voice emanating from the speakers.

”Full activation of Biohazard Reactor Area 3, full activation of Biohazard Reactor Area 3, all personnel take note, full activation of Biohazard Reactor Area 3...”

”Area 3...”

Hearing the broadcast, the leading Defense Captain paused, then his face turned pale!

”Quick, everyone get out of here, now!!”

However, before he could finish speaking, the steel plates that looked like walls around them suddenly fell. Then, behind the steel plates, accompanied by a series of growls, hundreds of Mutant Zombies were menacingly staring at them!

Of course, Biohazard Reactor Area 3 wasn’t just for ”imprisoning” Minamoto Sakura and the others. In fact, in addition to these three Advanced Rank research subjects, many other Mutant Zombies captured after the Resident Evil outbreak were also imprisoned here for research and modification purposes.

According to the design of the Hive, the ”prisons” holding these Mutant Zombies were quite secure—provided that the keys were in the hands of their own people.

And now well...

”Beep———!”

With the LED lights above changing from green to red, the originally sealed door opened instantly, followed by a horde of zombies lunging at their prey with roars.

”Aaaahhhhh!!!”

”All set.”

Listening to the gunfire and screams coming from all directions, Fang Zheng snapped his fingers. You reap what you sow; all these things were created by you, Umbrella. Clean up your own mess, I’m not accompanying you.

”Go, to the elevator!”

After sealing off several passages and letting Umbrella’s guard soldiers and their own zombies tear each other apart, Fang Zheng immediately led the others toward the elevator. With no obstructions, Fang Zheng and the group’s speed naturally increased. In no time, everyone was back at the elevator they had arrived in.

Fang Zheng took two steps at a time up to the elevator, then waved to the others behind him. Following closely were Little Aii and Minamoto Sakura, carrying Junko’s body (or should it be corpse?) torn in two, and then came Little Hei, Rea, and Tina.

”Good, everyone’s here, so let’s get going......”

However, just as Fang Zheng pressed the button, suddenly, a thunderous noise was heard, and the next moment, it was pitch black before everyone’s eyes, and the elevator doors that should have closed were stuck.

”What’s going on? What happened?”

The sudden blackout scared Little Aii and Minamoto Sakura into screaming, while Rea instinctively gripped her long sword tighter. Fang Zheng reached out again and quickly tapped on his personal terminal a few times, then he was taken aback.

”Damn it, the main server is disconnected? Umbrella, you actually pulled the plug? Playing that rough?”

Fang Zheng, of course, didn’t know that initially, the Hive manager had wanted to capture them alive, but after witnessing the power displayed by Fang Zheng’s group through the surveillance cameras, especially after Fang Zheng later hacked into Biohazard Area 3 and released all the creatures Umbrella had modified, the Hive manager knew the base was thoroughly doomed.

So, he steeled his heart and directly cut the main power. Although he didn’t know where these youngsters came from, daring to oppose Umbrella meant no good end!

If Laozi can’t kill you, I’ll trap you here, and then blow up the passage above! I don’t believe you can climb out of an underground base hundreds of meters deep!!

”What do we do now, Mr. Fang Zheng?”

The others present weren’t fools; seeing the darkness, they also realized that the power had been cut from above, which made them start to panic. The screams around them had begun to subside, replaced by the intermittent roars of mutant creatures... It seemed if Fang Zheng didn’t think of something, they’d be buried underground.

For others, this might be a problem, but for Fang Zheng... it wasn’t an issue.

You don’t want to let us out, but does that really mean we can’t get out?

”Don’t worry, Rea, of course I have a way.”

Compared to the others’ panic, Fang Zheng seemed very calm.

”Alright, don’t worry, I’ll get us out right now... but...”

At this point, Fang Zheng paused, then glanced over at everyone.

”Just to be clear, don’t try to climb on my back.”
