Chapter 633: Chapter 632: The Date Is Underway (Part 2)

Originally, watching a movie in a cinema with two cute girls is a very delightful thing to do.

But...

”Mr. Fang Zheng...”

Clinging to Fang Zheng’s arm, Yoshino appeared somewhat anxious as she looked at the silver-haired girl on the other side of Fang Zheng.

”Who is... she?”

”Oh right, I haven’t introduced her to you yet.”

As Fang Zheng spoke, he patted Ester by his side.

”Her name is Ester, my Pact Spirit.”

”Pact... Spirit?”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s introduction, Yoshino tilted her head in confusion.

”You must have seen the two swords in my hands before.”

”Mm...”

At these words, Yoshino nodded her head. After Fang Zheng transformed into a Farron Knight, she had indeed seen the long and short swords in his hands.

”She is the embodiment of that Silver Short Sword, the Demon-Slaying Holy Sword—Ester.”

”Ah—!?”

Although she had guessed it in her heart, Yoshino couldn’t help but exclaim out loud at that moment. Although she herself was an elf, that term ”elf” was just how humans in the Present Realm referred to Yoshino and did not actually mean she was a real elf. But this girl before her, with silver-white hair and a blank expression—was she truly a real elf?

”She is Yoshino, I believe you are already aware of her situation.”

Fang Zheng then introduced Yoshino to Ester, and Ester, too, nodded at Yoshino without saying a word. Feeling the gaze Ester directed at her, Yoshino became a bit uneasy and hid behind Fang Zheng. After seeing Yoshino’s gesture, Ester raised her eyebrows slightly and then, imitating Yoshino’s actions, leaned against Fang Zheng’s shoulder.

”I mean... we are here to watch a movie. Look, the movie is about to start.”

Seeing Ester’s reaction, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but shake his head in resignation. It was a good thing the cinema wasn’t crowded; otherwise, this could have easily drawn a lot of attention!

Just then, as if to confirm what Fang Zheng said, the lights gradually dimmed. Following that, images began to emerge on the large silver screen in front of them.

As a movie intended for children, the plot was quite ”child-friendly.” It was about a coup in the Land of Dreams, where the ”Nightmare Faction” overthrew the ”Good Dream Sect’s” rule and then pursued the Princess to take away the key that controlled the Land of Dreams from her. With this key, they could dominate the entire dream realm and make everyone in the world have nightmares.

The Princess, to escape assassination, left the Land of Dreams and came to the real world, where she then met the male lead. The male lead also fit the typical Hollywood Disney mold, being someone with a troubled mind and a tragic past. Then the Princess stayed in his dreams, allowing him to have good dreams, and the male lead became the Princess’s Knight, helping her defeat wave after wave of assassins sent by the Nightmare Faction.

The movie ended with the clichéd outcome of the male lead and Princess discovering that pure, flawless love was the key to activating the key. They fell in love, activated the key, opened the gates to the Land of Dreams, and lived happily ever after, while the villains naturally vanished into smoke.

Fang Zheng hadn’t seen this movie before, but although the content was clichéd, it was still entertaining. However, for Ester and Yoshino, it was a different story, as both were watching a movie for the first time and therefore were quite excited. Especially when the Princess was nearly killed by the Nightmare Faction, not only did Yoshino cling tightly to Fang Zheng’s arm, but even Ester, usually expressionless, showed signs of nervousness and unease. freёNovelFire.com

For Fang Zheng, who was battle-hardened by such Hollywood fairy tale plots, he felt no inner turmoil and even wanted to laugh a bit when the movie ended. But for the inherently pure and kind-hearted Yoshino, it was different; she was moved to tears to see the male lead and Princess end up together at the end!

Of course, Fang Zheng wasn’t surprised by this; he had already noticed that Yoshino was just like a child, not to mention it was her first movie experience, so it was normal for her to be easily moved.

However, what Fang Zheng did not expect was that despite remaining expressionless, Ester’s eyes also seemed a touch red...

It seemed that this stoic girl also had a girl’s heart.

Overall, the outing was a success. When Fang Zheng left the cinema with Yoshino and Ester, both exhibited content expressions. Next, just take them for a meal and find a park to walk around and rest for a bit, and it would be nearly perfect...

But to Fang Zheng’s surprise, just as he was planning what to do next, he felt someone tug at his clothes. When he turned around, he saw Yoshino looking at him as if she had something to ask.

”What’s the matter? Is there something you want to ask, Yoshino?”

”Yes, Mr. Fang Zheng, that is...”

Yoshino hesitated for a moment and then continued speaking.

”In the end, why did Mr. Carl and Miss Mary need to... put their mouths together?”

”...Huh?”

Upon hearing this, Fang Zheng was taken aback, and Ester too stared wide-eyed in astonishment at Yoshino.

”You mean... the kiss scene at the end?”

Although the movie was targeted at children, since it was a Hollywood-style movie for children, it wasn’t as innocent as Asian children’s movies toward the end. Of course, there was nothing inappropriate for children throughout. It was just that at the end, when the male lead and the Princess got married, they kissed under everyone’s blessings.

In Fang Zheng’s view, there was nothing unusual about this. It was just a kiss scene after all; nowadays, what movie didn’t include a kiss scene—it would be embarrassing to mention it otherwise.

But...

Looking at Yoshino before him, Fang Zheng was completely at a loss for words. He couldn’t see any traces of shyness or excitement on Yoshino’s face; instead, her expression was one of pure confusion and questioning. That meant Yoshino truly didn’t understand what that kiss meant!

Although Fang Zheng already knew that due to the lack of memory, Yoshino had a bit less common knowledge than most, but... to this extent?

”This kissing thing is, well...”

”Is what...?”

Faced with Yoshino’s puzzled gaze, Fang Zheng was surprised to find that he didn’t know how to explain it on the spot! Usually, this is something everyone would know on their own, right? There’s really no need for someone else to teach it!

But in the face of Yoshino’s sparkling eyes, which screamed ”I’m very curious,” Fang Zheng suddenly felt that no matter how he explained... it just wouldn’t seem right!

What was even more frustrating for Fang Zheng was that Ester had also sidled up at this moment. Although her face was still expressionless, Fang Zheng could also read from her eyes ”I want to see how my master explains this”...

As a Pact Spirit, you’re actually looking forward to seeing your master embarrassed? Is that what Pact Spirits should do?

”Well, to put it simply, kissing is a proof of love between two people who are in love... um... in short, it’s something that only people who are in love would do...”

”Love... what is that?”

Do I have to start explaining from here?

Fang Zheng suddenly found that this was indeed difficult.

”Love... is a very special kind of like.”

”A very special kind of... like?”

At this, Yoshino again tilted her head in confusion.

”Yes, it’s a very special like unlike any other. It’s a feeling that can’t be expressed in words; only when you truly experience it will you understand.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng hastily changed the subject.

”Alright, you must be hungry by now, let’s go and eat something, then we can continue our date.”

If Yoshino kept asking, Fang Zheng wouldn’t know what else to say. And Yoshino obediently nodded her head, then continued walking forward, holding Fang Zheng’s hand. However, deep inside, the young girl was filled with confusion.

A special kind of... like... what is it like?

I like Mr. Fang Zheng... does that mean I love him?

So... if I love Mr. Fang Zheng, does that mean we can kiss?

At that moment, Yoshino couldn’t help but recall the scene she had seen in the movie...

The Princess and her Knight...

With that thought, Yoshino sneakily lifted her head to glance at Fang Zheng.

So is Mr. Fang Zheng... my Knight?
