Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 615: Chapter 614 We Will All Become What We Hate...

Due to the unexpected event in Rio de Janeiro, the local airport was temporarily closed. Fortunately, Fang Zheng and his team didn’t need to use the official airport to depart, as they had found a small private airport inland. However, what bothered Fang Zheng was that the supersonic plane that came to pick them up was from the Vatican...

”You guys really aren’t afraid that these folks would plant a bomb on board and kill you while crossing the Atlantic Ocean?”

But since Alucard wasn’t afraid, Fang Zheng naturally didn’t care either. If the Vatican dared to do such a thing, he could simply turn into a dragon, fly to the Vatican, and burn those charlatans to death with a breath.

Unfortunately, it seemed the Vatican didn’t plan to give Fang Zheng the chance to show off on their turf. The plane flew to the United Kingdom at top speed, and during this journey, Fang Zheng learned about that ”ghostly” organization from Alucard.

”So you mean... that organization called millennium was a special agency in Germany during World War II?”

”You could say that.”

Alucard, leaning back in his chair with a glass of red wine in hand, squinted his eyes in response to Fang Zheng’s question.

As for Seras— the unlucky policewoman naturally ended up packed in a coffin and thrown into the cargo hold.

”That was all fifty-five years ago, the mad Major and his undead army... I never thought they would persist to this day. Walter and I had surely eradicated them, but unexpectedly, they found a day to rise again...”

While speaking, Alucard’s lips curled into an anticipatory smile.

”War, ah... It has been a long time since I’ve smelled the scent of war... I never thought that such mad folks still existed in today’s world...”

Seeing Alucard’s eager expression, Fang Zheng didn’t say much. He understood Alucard’s thoughts— he craved destruction, slaughter, and blood. But due to his current identity and responsibilities, he couldn’t just go on a killing spree, especially not against ordinary people. Now, however, Alucard had found a perfect target, a target he could slaughter without remorse, enjoying their screams and moans.

In a way, they were quite similar to each other.

But coming back to the Iron Cross... it’s really tragic, anything that can be blamed on them definitely would be. Fang Zheng felt he should suggest to Intagura to check the far side of the moon for their base... Oh, right, the United Kingdom no longer had that capability.

The supersonic flight indeed proved effective, taking just a few hours for everyone to return to London.

”So, next you’re going to meet Her Majesty the Queen?”

”Eh? Mr. Fang Zheng, aren’t you coming along?”

Looking at Fang Zheng beside her, Seras couldn’t help but ask in surprise, to which Fang Zheng simply shrugged his shoulders.

”I’m not interested in meeting the Queen, and moreover, this is an internal affair for you all. As an outsider, I shouldn’t interfere too much. Just fill me in on the main points after the meeting is over. After all, my target is those remnants of World War II that haven’t been completely wiped out. Knowing that is enough for me.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng waved his hand at the others.

”Go ahead with your meeting then. I’ll take Ester to a nearby café to kill some time. Call me when you’re done.”

”Ah...”

Watching Fang Zheng’s retreating figure, Seras wanted to say something, but soon Alucard placed his hand on her shoulder.

”Don’t worry about him, that’s just the way he is. We better hurry; we can’t keep Her Majesty the Queen waiting.”

”Yes, MASTER.”

At Alucard’s words, Seras could only turn and follow him, leaving the area. However, deep down, Seras couldn’t understand why Fang Zheng didn’t want to meet the Queen. For Seras, meeting the Queen was a supreme honor!

But for Fang Zheng, he was not keen on meeting the Queen.

During his previous interactions with Intagura, Fang Zheng had already sensed some changes in her tone. Apparently, the power he had showcased in Rio de Janeiro unnerved her. Fang Zheng could understand this; as far as he was concerned, he stood at the pinnacle of power in this world, while Intagura clearly misjudged his strength. She thought she was dealing with a missile, but it turned out to be a nuclear bomb. Hence, Intagura’s attitude toward Fang Zheng seemed somewhat indecisive now. If Fang Zheng went with Alucard to meet the Queen of England, Intagura might find some excuse to have the Queen personally invite him to join the HELLING organization as an official member.

Although Fang Zheng was currently in a cooperative relationship with HELLSING, he was not willing to stay in this world for too long, so naturally, he couldn’t agree to such invitations. When that time came, the situation would become very awkward.

Therefore, for Fang Zheng, it was better not to meet at all. He had come back this time only to gather more specific intelligence on that organization from Intagura, and then Fang Zheng planned to dust off his pants and leave, ending his cooperation with HELLSING.

After all, everyone could still part on good terms now, who knew what it would be like if he stayed longer.

”Sigh......”

Since it was working hours, there were not many people in the coffee shop at the moment. Fang Zheng twirled the coffee in his hand while listlessly watching the crowd outside the window. Ester sat quietly opposite Fang Zheng, nibbling on a piece of cream cake. Looking at Ester, Fang Zheng felt his previously fluctuating emotions gradually stabilize. He closed his eyes and began to carefully feel the flames deep within his soul.

Strictly speaking, Fang Zheng’s recovery was not going smoothly. Although he had managed to repair 45% of his system by burning firewood in this world and had almost regained his physical abilities, as his powers returned, he found that his mental state began to change.

Fang Zheng felt he was showing signs of a multiple personality disorder. Normally, he could maintain his human form, but once he started fighting or conflicted with others, the aspect of being a Giant Dragon and Zerg Overlord deep inside him began to emerge. He became increasingly arrogant, cold, and cruel. In this state, Fang Zheng wouldn’t allow anyone to dare defy him, which was why he had unleashed AOE destructively over the entire city of Rio de Janeiro.

Now, Fang Zheng felt he was trapped in a problem that was very terrifying for humans.

That was... Which one is the real me?

He admitted humans have a dark side, and Fang Zheng never denied he was the same. Before his rebirth, he was just an ordinary person. Although he had done some good deeds, he had also done many not-so-good things. Even though he hadn’t broken the law, taking small advantages or secretly upsetting others were not things he hadn’t done.

Of course, Fang Zheng considered himself good to the players. After all, the customer is God. In order to let the vast number of players enjoy the sequels, he even went as far as improving and then releasing the first three Chapters of a sequel early to spare the players from the agony of waiting.

Where else could you find such a good game producer!

What? You’re asking what comes next?

Of course, it would be sold separately as DLC, after all, the landlord’s family has no surplus grain.

Okay, Fang Zheng admitted he had his faults, including sometimes failing to fulfill commitments to players or instinctively glancing at a girl’s miniskirt. However, he was definitely not an arrogant person. Of course, as someone in a high position, he did have some pride, but it wasn’t to the extent of ”if you don’t listen to me, then you must die.” That’s the character of a protagonist in urban fiction, but Fang Zheng... well, he was quite sure he didn’t have any protagonist aura in his previous life.

Although Fang Zheng always joked about not wanting to be human anymore, now, he was starting to doubt whether his approach was correct. The arrogance of the Dragon Race was far beyond humans. Before, Fang Zheng didn’t think this was anything good, but now, he was surprised to find his thoughts becoming more and more aligned with the values of the Dragon Race.

”Yeah, that’s nice, it’s mine, I’ll take it.

What? You won’t give it? Go die.

Yeah, I’ve decided to do this, it’s definitely right.

What, you don’t want to? Go die.

This thing is mine... What? You want it?

Go die!

In the past, at the Peak of Ice and Snow, Fang Zheng had once complained about the Shadow Dragon being domineering and unreasonable. Now it seems...

We eventually become the people we hate...

”Two Tigers, Two Tigers......”

While Fang Zheng was deep in thought, suddenly, his phone rang again, and Intagura’s voice came through to his ear.

”Fang Zheng, we’re in trouble!”
