Chapter 620: Chapter 619: The War that Devoured the Entire World

”Marvelous...”

Watching the burning city, Archbishop Maxwell revealed an intoxicated expression.

Men were being killed, torn apart. Women were violated, killed, torn apart. Infants were impaled, killed, burned to charcoal. All this was a feast for the vampires, turning not only London, but the entire world, into a chaotic hell of blood and fire.

But...

”This is your fate!!”

Maxwell clenched his fists and raised them high.

”This is the fate of those who do not obey our only True God, who foolishly establish heresies! All creatures, all heretics must die! From now on, we, the Vatican, will launch a new frenzy of Crusades! To kill the creatures, to kill the heretics, to reclaim this land defiled by heresy, and let the glory of our Lord envelop the world again... AMEN!!”

”Boom... Boom...”

Footsteps sounded, and Maxwell turned around to meet his followers. There, thousands of Crusader paladins in armor, wearing white triangular hats and capes, and holding long spears, stood respectfully before Maxwell.

In the United Kingdom, America, the entire world was being devoured by chaos at this moment. Vampires were launching attacks everywhere. But they could not breach the defenses of the Vatican. This was the will of our Lord, this world would turn into a sea of blood, and the unclean heretics would be swallowed by this ”Great Flood.”

Only they! Only they! Only these devout, chosen holy practitioners would be the passengers of Noah’s Ark. They would survive this endless night and then usher in a wholly new era.

Kill the blasphemy of heretics, destroy their evil doctrines. Re-establish Creationism as the only truth of this world, to make their God the only god of this world.

God loves the world so much that he even gave his only son to them. Those who believe in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Those who believe in him will not be condemned; those who do not believe are already condemned because they have not believed in the name of God’s only son!

The science of heretics, plus the unbelievers and heretics! This is your day of Judgment! Because you do not believe in God, do not respect God, thus you bring about your own destruction! This is all the result of your own faults! You are torn apart by creatures, your children are pierced, your women are ravaged, all because of your blasphemous spirit and faith, this is the outcome of your arrogance and disdain for God’s teachings!

To kill all the heretics and creatures, this is our creed! freewēbnoveℓ.com

”Courland Sword Brotherhood, 340 members, present themselves!”

”Karatokabanye Knights, 118 members, present themselves!”

”Saint Stefano Knights’ Order, Tuscan Legion, 257 members, present themselves!”

”Knights of Malta, 2457 members, present themselves!”

The leading paladins kneeled on one knee before Maxwell, raising the ties in their hands.

”We, under the orders of His Holiness the Pope, have come to present ourselves; also, Bishop Maxwell’s position has been elevated to Archbishop! We form the Ninth Crusade, under the supreme command of Archbishop Maxwell!”

Indeed, all this was to demonstrate the power of our God.

Watching the red ties before him, Maxwell reached out and took them.

Whether it be the undead of the Third Reich, the British Empire, or HELLSING, none had regarded the Vatican seriously. But now, we will make our presence known here and deliver the fatal blow!

By then, this land shall return under the glory of God.

And those heretics will die without a burial place!

”AMEN! I wholeheartedly accept! Our target is the British Empire, to die in the City of London! The fervent reconquest begins!”

”AMEN!”

Hearing Maxwell’s command, the paladins stood up again, whispering prayers as they turned and headed towards the transport planes and helicopters that had been prepared. Soon, one by one, the planes took off, flying towards the city engulfed in flames.

”Heaven, angels... are angels coming to save us?”

As those struggling in the hellish flames and evading the ghouls saw these helicopters, their first thought was that they were saved. Finally, someone could help them escape this hell, and they began to pray devoutly, hoping for salvation. But the next moment, the voice echoing through the sky utterly shattered their hopes.

”We are the earthly agents of the Angel of Death! The time of judgment is now, by the authority of God! Accused: Britannia! Accused: Creatures! The sentence... death! Execute immediately!”

”Death! Death! Death! Death! Death!”

”Ah...”

Listening to this voice filled with madness, the people on the ground couldn’t help but start to tremble. But for Maxwell, this was nothing at all.

”I pity you, sinners. However, your sins cannot be forgiven! Flitter about like butterflies, die like bees! Hahahahaha! What the eye sees shall be your graves, bury the enemies of God thoroughly!”

While speaking, Maxwell coldly chuckled and snapped his fingers.

”Target: ahead! Execute death penalty!!”

”Thud thud thud thud thud!!”

Following the command, the Crusaders’ aerial force began a carpet bombing and assault on the entire London, burning and blasting vampires running through the streets and alleys. People struggling to survive among the ruins were mowed down by machine guns, becoming piles of flesh. Crying infants on the ground were completely devoured by flames falling from the sky, and praying elders in corners turned to ash amidst the roaring sound of aerial bombs.

The descending Crusaders then assembled their ranks, while the vampires that were once rampant in the streets and alleys gathered as if attracted by a magnet. Armed with weapons and wearing masks, they moved like specters through the ruins of blood and fire.

In this scene of ruins, a war had begun.

”Maxwell...”

Intagura clenched his fists tightly, staring dead at the army spreading flames and destruction within the City of London. They were no different from these vampires, be they humans or vampires. They were all enemies of the United Kingdom, enemies of HELLSING!

”The war has started again, Intagura.”

At that moment, the shadow under Intagura began to stir, and soon after, Alucard emerged from it.

”War, feverish war, the inevitable war of humanity... So, what shall we do next, Intagura?”

”.........”

Hearing Alucard’s query, Intagura remained silent. Meanwhile, Alucard cracked a ferocious smile.

”Issue your command, my Lord!!”

”......”

Watching the city before him being destroyed by flames, Intagura took a cigar from his chest pocket and placed it in his mouth before taking a deep drag.

Then, she suddenly flicked her right hand, discarding the cigar that was yet to be finished.

”My servant Alucard, heed my command! Dye the Whiteclad Legion deep red with the Silver Spear! Dye the Black-clad Legion deep red with the Black Iron Spear! Dye all enemies completely red! Search and destroy! Search and destroy! Slaughter all enemies! No one shall leave this island nation alive!”

”......huhuhuhu......”

Hearing this, Alucard revealed a smile.

”Mission understood, as you desire, my master...”

While speaking, Alucard slowly raised his hands. Along with his movements, the shadows on the ground began to drift wildly, resembling a dark sea.

”Bird of Hermes is my name...”

The chanting began.

At this moment, both the battling vampires and Crusaders stopped fighting, turning their heads in puzzled suspicion towards the distance. Although they couldn’t see anything, they could feel something awakening...

In their field of vision, distant shadows mixed with blood, eventually turning into the River of Death.

”Rumble rumble rumble...!!”

The river of blood turned into raging waves, rushing down the streets. One by one, blood-stained Undead emerged from it, forming a large army, and threw themselves at the vampires and Crusaders before them!

The war had begun.
