Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 610: Chapter 609: You are courting death!

Night had fallen.

In Rio de Janeiro, the night was even livelier than the day. Samba dancers swayed their bodies to the rhythm of the music, dancing ceaselessly. The parade floats moved along the streets. The surrounding crowd let out cheers; petals, streamers, and all sorts of things scattered across the sky.

Fang Zheng and Ester followed the crowded throng forward; there were so many people that they had no choice but to mix in with the crowd and march on.

”I really don’t like places with so many people.”

Jostled by the crowd, Fang Zheng grumbled while holding tight to Ester beside him to prevent her from being squeezed away. Ester also clutched Fang Zheng’s hand firmly, and though her face was as expressionless as ever, her beautiful eyes shone with an unusual radiance looking at Fang Zheng.

The crowd surged forward like a flood, and Fang Zheng didn’t even know where he was until the people around him dispersed, and he realized he had somehow ended up inside a football stadium. At that moment, the tourists had disappeared, and the parade float in the center of the stadium kept singing and dancing, the music echoing in the empty stadium, which seemed rather eerie.

”This time there’s a bit more creativity than before.”

However, Fang Zheng wasn’t particularly surprised by the scene before him; he just curiously surveyed his surroundings and then strode towards the center of the stadium. At the same time, hundreds or thousands of people dressed like tourists came in through the passages around, standing in front of the seats as if they were spectators about to enjoy a match.

But the red gleam in their eyes gave away their true identities.

”Welcome to my arena.”

Just as Fang Zheng and Ester reached the center of the stadium, suddenly, a voice came through the speakers around them. The dance performers on either side of the float quickly retreated, and in the next moment, dozens of fully armed soldiers emerged from inside the float, wielding weapons and wearing masks along with World War II German military uniforms. They raised their guns and aimed at Fang Zheng and Ester, and behind them, a tall figure appeared.

It was a woman with short hair—if not for her feminine curves, Fang Zheng would never have guessed her to be a woman just by her face.

This woman’s half-faced was densely covered with eerie tattoos; she carried a huge scythe and watched Fang Zheng with a cold smirk.

”I didn’t expect the so-called Hunter to be such a rookie. I actually wasted some anticipation, and now it seems so unremarkable.”

”Haah...”

Hearing the woman’s words, Fang Zheng lowered his head and sighed.

”I am also very disappointed...”

”...What did you say?”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s words, the woman snorted coldly, staring at him. Fang Zheng just shrugged his shoulders and then listlessly spread his hands.

”Speaking of vampires, I thought I would encounter a cute, millennium-old golden-haired Blood Clan loli, or Goth-style young lady. To come across such a tomboyish vampire? I can’t believe I went through the trouble to play along with your act. If I had known, I would have set this damned place on fire right from the start.”

”Hmph, so full of yourself!”

The woman’s face was now a mask of cold fury.

”A mere human, daring to spout such nonsense in front of me, Soren Briz! Since that’s the case, I’ll let you witness our strength!”

As she spoke, Soren lifted her head with a sinister laugh and snapped her fingers with her right hand.

”Kill him!”

Following Soren’s command, the soldiers raised their weapons... but in the next moment, their bodies began to tilt, tear apart, and with spraying blood, they turned into chunks of flesh.

”This isn’t following the script...”

At that moment, the Pitch Black Chain Sword in Fang Zheng’s hand had retracted and turned into the Dark Greatsword again. Ester, too, had somehow returned to the form of the Silver Short Sword and was back in Fang Zheng’s left hand. There stood Fang Zheng, armed with dual swords, looking helplessly at Soren before him.

”Usually, by this point, I would have been surrounded, and isn’t this where you’re supposed to tell me who you are, where you come from, then why you want to kill me, and what your goals are? How come you’re attacking without a word? Don’t you have a sense of being the BOSS?”

”You... you...”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, Soren’s face twisted in rage, and she glared fiercely at him, but Fang Zheng seemed entirely unaware of it.

”Uh... thinking about it, my acting was off, too. Let’s try it again.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng stepped back and then changed his expression to one of grave seriousness, staring at Soren as he spoke again.

”Who are you? What do you want to do to me? What exactly is your purpose?!”

”..............”

”...Alright, I know there’s no redoing this scene.”

Seeing Soren’s contorted face, Fang Zheng sighed helplessly and then raised his greatsword.

”Well, the Young Lady’s orders were Search and Destroy, so... are you ready?”

”How dare you mock me!”

Hearing this, Soren finally couldn’t help roaring out, glaring ferociously at Fang Zheng, her eyes filled with an almost uncontrollable mania and hatred.

”A mere human dares to mock me! I will make you regret ever being born to this world! Die! Suffer and die in a nightmare!!”

As she shouted, Soren raised her right hand and then slammed it down onto the ground. The next moment Fang Zheng saw the tattoos on her arm moving like swarms of ants, rapidly spreading, and in the blink of an eye, countless tattoos completely enveloped Fang Zheng along with the entire stadium!

A flash of light suddenly swept through the world before his eyes.

Fang Zheng raised his head and saw that everything in front of him had completely changed.

The place he was in was no longer the stadium from before but a place he was very familiar with.

Heavenly Dao Palace.

It was his own room that Fang Zheng was in now. However, he was unable to move or control his body. It was as if he were just a camera or something else residing within his own body, only able to watch his own body act on its own. Soon, Fang Zheng saw himself leave the room and make his way to the reception room on the first floor.

”Ah, Brother Fang Zheng...”

Approaching him was Natsuse, but for some reason, Fang Zheng found the young girl’s eyes filled with fear and unease as she looked at him, as if he were some kind of beast that devours humans. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com

”Have you, have you woken up? I’ve already prepared breakfast for you...”

”Mhm.”

The reply from ”Fang Zheng” was very cold, like he was facing a stranger. He didn’t even perform the usual head pat that he always did to Natsuse but walked straight into the dining room.

The dining room was empty and deserted, not a soul in sight, only food laid out for Fang Zheng. And ”Fang Zheng” seemed to be used to this as he went straight to his seat and began to eat. Natsuse, however, stood anxiously behind Fang Zheng, as if fearful of something.

But after eating a couple of bites, ”Fang Zheng” suddenly swung his arm, sweeping all the food on the table onto the floor.

”What is this crap? It tastes awful!”

”I’m sorry, I’m so sorry!”

Watching her prepared food being scattered by Fang Zheng, Natsuse shrank back in fright, continuously apologizing. And ”Fang Zheng” glared at her viciously.

”Get lost! Take this back and remake it! How can anyone eat this garbage?!”

”Yes, I’m... sorry, Brother...”

Tears in her eyes, the girl quickly picked up the scattered food, then turned to leave with flushed cheeks, and as she opened the door, Fang Zheng saw Tina, Midori, and several other children standing there anxiously. Seeing Natsuse appear, their expressions turned to sorrow.

”Is Brother Fang Zheng still the same?”

”I’m so scared, ever since he returned, Brother Fang Zheng seems like a completely different person...”

”Natsuse, are you okay...”

”I’m fine...”

The door closed with a bang, cutting off their voices on the other side, while ”Fang Zheng” pressed his forehead and sighed. Then, he stood up abruptly and paced the dining room like an enraged beast before leaving through another door to return to his own room.

”Ah, Elder Brother...”

Tilia was waiting for him in the room. Seeing Fang Zheng come in, Tilia showed a smile and pressed herself against Fang Zheng’s body. But Fang Zheng could notice that unlike her usual seductive smile, Tilia’s expression now seemed more like trying to please him.

”Turn around, Tilia.”

”Ah... yes...”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s command, Tilia bit her lip and turned around. But before she could do anything more, she saw ”Fang Zheng” push her onto the bed and violently rip off her dress. Soon, Tilia’s moans of pain echoed throughout the room.

”This is what you wanted, isn’t it? Slut! Scream for me!!”

”I’m sorry... Elder Brother... uh...”

”Slap!”

Tilia was about to say something when Fang Zheng slapped her hard on the face. Shortly after, Tilia’s cries of agony turned into intermittent sobs...

”Do you see?”

Looking at Fang Zheng standing there, motionless and with a ghastly pale face, Soren revealed a smirk of triumph. She appeared silently behind Fang Zheng, her sharp scythe pressed against his neck.

”This is the nightmare you fear the most. Now, enjoy it. You’ll fall into endless torment and then... die!”

As she shouted, Soren swung her scythe, and in theory, Fang Zheng’s head should have been severed in the next instant.

But...

”Clang!”

The instant Soren’s scythe touched Fang Zheng’s skin, a sound like metal clashing emanated, and immediately afterward, Soren found her scythe blocked by what seemed like a massive stone wall, unable to easily cut off the human’s head!

”Good, little bat...”

And then, at that moment, Fang Zheng’s voice finally rang out—this time, his tone laced with uncontainable rage.

”You’ve successfully angered me!”

Along with Fang Zheng’s roar, he raised the greatsword in his hand and forcefully plunged it into the ground.

The next instant, flames erupted!
